[Damian. Damian Throne.]
"Okay, now you know my name," Damian began. "Can you just bluntly tell me what's happening, because I'm damned lost."
[Oh Damian, I thought I had explained it all.]
"If you call anything you just said 'explaining,' then we are definitely not compatible," Damian said. "Now shoo away from my body."
[Okay, Damian, I will explain what is currently happening.]
[The wheel in front of you is what the heavens call a 'Transmigration Wheel.' It's given to everyone who has been deemed fit to get another chance at life.]
'Another chance?'
[Yes, another chance, just as I said.]
'Wait, how did she...'
[Oh, you're wondering how I was able to know what you thought?]
"You literally just did it again," he sighed. "Let me guess, you can read my mind now?"
[That's precise. I cannot only read your mind but also access your emotions and your feelings, both your anxiety and your sudden thrill at the thought of a second chance.]
"To be honest," he started. "I'm somewhat excited about a second life. I didn't mess with it at first, but now... It's sounding interesting if I can decide my life before birth. Or is that not what the wheel is for?"
[Yes, partially. The wheel can't alter things that are heavenly restricted, like your gender, soul purity, and many more.]
"So what is it for?"
[The Transmigration Wheel is mostly for just selecting the starting location of the person, but...]
"But what?"
[But yours is different. You can now select random treasures after each spin of the wheel.]
"Treasures? You mentioned that word before. You said something about you being the most desired treasure among many kingdoms, or something along those lines."
[Yes, I did say that, but yours are different. The treasures you will get aren't currently known; they are created instantaneously upon selecting them.]
[I mentioned earlier that you have 20,000 heavenly points, and that each spin costs 5,000 points.]
"Yes, you did say something like that," Damian said.
"Omni," he called out. "I have a question."
[Oh, that's nice to hear. Please ask away.]
"You said something about the Transmigration Wheel only being used to select starting locations for people. Does that mean I'm the first to have a different one?"
[Yes, the Omni Queen has seen fit to give you a different wheel than the rest.]
[Now, let's get started.]
[Ding! You have received 20,000 heavenly points.]
'I seriously don't like that chiming sound.'
[Don't worry, Damian, you will surely get used to it.]
"Are you saying you can't tone it down?"
[Never said that.]
"So just tone it down."
[Never said I can.]
"Damn you."
[You're funny, Damian. I would love to joke with you some more, but we have serious matters to attend to. Please step forward and place your hand on the Transmigration Wheel.]
Damian slowly walked toward the ethereal-looking wheel that stood before him and placed his hand on it, preparing to spin it.
[Ding! 5,000 heavenly points have been deducted.]
[15,000/20,000]
[You can now spin the wheel. This first spin is to select which kingdom you will transmigrate into as your starting location.]
Damian quickly spun the wheel. Its circular frame rotated rapidly until its motion slowed, and the marker landed on the 'Green Azure Kingdom' sector.
[Ding! You have selected the
"Green... Azure Kingdom."
"Hey, Omni," Damian said. "Can you tell me anything about this kingdom, any heads up?"
[Oh, the Green Azure Kingdom. That's a beautiful kingdom, if green vegetation is your thing. It's sunny all day long with little to no rain. Most of its inhabitants are farmers, and that's just about it.]
"Is that really all there is?" he asked. "No imminent threat, nothing I should worry about?"
[Oh, of course, there is, but if I tell you then where's the fun in finding out yourself?]
"You're really insufferable, you know that."
[Oh, thanks for pointing it out. I will try to be less than that.]
[Now, give it another spin.]
Damian quickly gave the wheel another spin. Its circular frame rotated rapidly until its motion slowed, and the marker landed on the 'Thousand Heavenly Piercings' sector.
[Ding! 5,000 heavenly points have been deducted.]
[10,000/20,000]
[Ding! You have received the epic-ranked technique,
"Thousand Heavenly Piercings?"
[This will be a technique no one in this world has ever seen. This would be interesting to see unfold.]
[(Thousand Heavenly Piercings:)]
[(An epic-ranked sword technique that summons an endless rain of swords from the heavens. Your mana capacity determines the number of blades and the duration of the attack, allowing for a continuous and overwhelming assault.)]
"Damn, that's an overkill," Damian said as he read the system prompt.
[The technique is truly powerful. It will be of great aid.]
[Now, another spin.]
Damian gave it another spin. Its circular frame rotated rapidly until its motion rapidly slowed, and the marker landed on the Tenth Gate Dagger sector.
[Ding! 5,000 heavenly points have been deducted.]
[5,000/20,000]
[Ding! You have received the legendary-ranked weapon,
[(Tenth Gate Dagger:)]
[(A legendary-ranked weapon that embodies the mysterious power of the Tenth Gate. When activated, the Tenth Gate Dagger can cut through space and time, allowing the user to create temporary rifts to bypass obstacles or strike at a target from an unexpected angle. Its true power lies in its ability to access the intent of the Tenth Gate, granting the user a deeper understanding of the flow of causality.)]
"Cut through time and space..."
"Omni, is this truly possible?" Damian curiously asked.
[Damian, take another look around you. Do you think the ability to cut through space and time isn't possible?]
'He's right, I have to give him that. This place is already out of the bounds of normal.'
[Your final spin.]
With a sigh, Damian slowly placed his hands on the wheel. The only thing going through his mind was the mess he had somehow found himself in.
