Atlas quickly teleported the group quickly and appeared in front of the waterfall with Dax fuming.
"Another one!" Dax screamed "I thought I can relax...why?!"
His emotions were all over the place, his aura everywhere and mist claws gripping around. Strangely the carnage avoided the members and spread to everything behind them.
A crack appearing in the air and Orion came out. He seat beside Dax and looked at him patiently. The teenager sighed loudly and crashed down to lay on the ground.
"It's seems I apologize a lot...for being a volatile person." Dax smiled
Blake frowned, "They way he was looking at you like a steak, I'd get mad too."
Dax sprung up with his usual smile. His lips sealed that he wouldn't say a word.
"So do we go across again?" Noah asked
Dax scowled, "And meet those annoying eyes again? Nope. Restraining once is possible but twice is asking too much."
"Then." Blake sighed questioning himself for a moment "Shall we go down?"
Ethan laughed, "So you do have crazy thoughts too?"
Blake sighed and levitated everyone down the waterfall. Dax secretly frowned again remembering Leonardo overlapping with someone he hated.
"Get your head in the game, Daxton!" He thought
Luckily Blake found another tunnel which led to a fully intact architectural creation and Dax's eyes blazed with happiness.
"It...it's amazing." he exclaimed "I didn't know that this was possible! Why didn't I study sculpturing"
The others walking ahead as Dax took out his book and magnifying glass. He wondered if he should be worried about the fast elevation of his emotions.
"I am what I am." He nodded
His attention was stolen by Quill bragging his feet and he walked over to him with a hint of interest and worry.
"What's up?" He smiled "I haven't heard from you?"
Quill watched his leader send all the cameras to the Crazed members ahead and sighed in relief.
"How do you do it? Manage all this?" Quill frowned "Are you really a two years older than me?"
Dax joked, "I try to take care of my skin."
"It's overwhelming...too much!" Quill yelled "I'm not like everyone else. I'm not you!"
Dax smiled sadly, "Exactly."
Quill looked at him with surprise. When he talked to Noah or Ethan they said time would fix his weakness probably due to their beastkin mentality. While Atlas and Blake suggested immersion therapy to get used to the situation. He's been too afraid to ask Dax though.
"Find your way to get stronger. If the method works, who will complain?" Dax chuckled
Quill frowned at the unusual advice which made chuckle with understanding. Who hadn't been there before what to improve but nothing is happening?
"Don't be me, Quill. I'll tell you something, no one escapes change." Dax smiled "If you don't try to, tough luck because then you'll be forced to."
Quill frowned, "Doesn't that mean there's nothin I can do?!"
"You're not understanding, are you?" Dax sighed "But it's okay to want everything to stay the same...I did too. So trust me that you'll reach up here eventfully."
Dax dragged Quill to the other team mates and he saw another beautiful seen. Thousands of flowers of all types and colors on the walls and a glass floor. A picture was engraved into the ceiling with fine white jade decorated with blue sapphires.
ROAR
"Why does nothing go well for us?" Ethan snapped
The glass began to ripple and a glass lion with wings came out of the floor.
"It's still beautiful." Dax beamed "Let me snap a picture first."
A bright flash blinded the monster and it pushed back. Blake fired a shell from his shotgun. The lion hit it down with a snarl and jumped away from the rain of golden spheres.
"Isn't it made of glass?" Blake frowned
Atlas looked at Dax looking at the writing and documenting as the other members were equipping weapons.
"Not in the headspace. Good luck!" Dax yelled answering his gaze
Noah jumped down to the floor and it cracked outward. He paused and looked back up at the members. They looked back at him and rethought their plan.
Blake floated forward and several spheres curved toward the monster's side. It used its wing to deflect and jumped up toward him with claws.
He used his shotgun to deflect and the spheres below rose up. The lion's tail flicked them, a buzz saw appeared and aimed for it eye.
The lion roared and the spheres struck its thigh.
[Summertime: I thought he took them out of his storage but his he creating them?!]
The floor turned white with splashes of different colors, Noah floated back toward the group and several cubes were floating in the air.
The lion stretched its wings and lifted itself into the air with a threatening roar. It glide forward with a wipe of it claws and several cubes combined to block.
Blake was quite frustrated by how strong the glass monster defenses were. Even though its attack was poor but if they fight would eat away on his stamina.
Something caught his attention in the floor and he dived down. The lion followed after him with determination. Spheres fired out matching the color of the splash of paint it came from.
The whiteness on the floor pushed away, he heightened his senses and felt the odd sensation. He shot the glass and revealed was red gem and the lion went berserk
Even though he didn't look back and the lion closed in on him. Chains spat out of the cubes, pulled the monster back and shot the gem again.
The lion crumbled to pieces. The paint splashes and cubes disappeared and Blake sighed heavily.
"You can come down now." Blake snorted
Dax documented what he saw on the ceiling and closed his book.
"I think I have the general idea of what's going on in this challenge." he smiled
Atlas asked, "Care to share?"
"You're so funny. Let's get going, I need to confirm some more." Dax told
Blake floated them toward the entrance that lion was guarding and the fierce heat made they pause. Inside was a red dragon sleeping peacefully.
"I am not fighting that thing." Dax frowned "That doesn't look like an escape."
