"He's moving too fast, Lieutenant Hayato," a GM MS pilot remarked, observing Hayato's performance.
"Is Lieutenant Hayato overdoing it?" another pilot chimed in, as they struggled to keep pace with the Zephyranthes Gundam's movements.
Hayato, engrossed in combat within the GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes, seemed oblivious to the concerns of his comrades. His Gundam, the Zephyranthes, had expended its missile payload, and its shoulder-mounted beam cannons had obliterated a modified spacecraft of the Sea Wolf Pirates. The wrist-mounted beam rifle had accounted for numerous enemy MS units.
The sight of the Zephyranthes Gundam caused many Pirate MS pilots to scatter in terror.
"What are you doing? Engage! Retreating is futile!" a pirate commander barked before being silenced by a precise shot from Hayato's beam rifle.
While the Zephyranthes wreaked havoc, supporting GM MS pilots eliminated fleeing pirates.
Despite the Antares Mercenary Group's overall advantage, a significant portion of the GM MS force required repairs. The Original Gundam, piloted by Pani, and the Zephyranthes Gundam, piloted by Hayato, returned to the Albion for maintenance and resupply. Six GM MS units also occupied the Albion's hangar.
The Albion's MD system, with its array of robotic arms, automatically repaired the MS, while maintenance personnel performed fine-tuning.
Ryuuichi, still within the cockpit of the FA-78-3 Gundam Unit 7, monitored the battlefield. A new alert appeared: a second Pirate Group reinforcement fleet had arrived to the fleet's left.
"Captain Feikesi, I'll sortie with the heavy equipment package to engage the incoming force," Ryuuichi stated.
"Going alone is risky," Captain Feikesi responded.
"Gundam Unit 6 and some of the GM MS will accompany me. The rest of the force will remain in the main battle," Ryuuichi clarified.
Ryuuichi's FA-78-3 Gundam Unit 7 was equipped with the heavy equipment backpack.
Gundam Unit 6, piloted by Avina, and ten GM MS units followed closely behind Ryuuichi.
"If our intelligence is accurate, this reinforcement group represents the remaining forces of the Sea Wolf Pirates," Ryuuichi assessed.
The newly arrived Pirate Group reinforcement fleet consisted of ten modified spacecraft and nearly one hundred MS units, without fighter support.
Ryuuichi pressed a button, activating the pair of waist-mounted mega beam cannons on the FA-78-3, instantly destroying two modified spacecraft. His beam rifle and wrist-mounted beam rifles unleashed a barrage of fire, followed by a missile salvo.
This initial assault eliminated nearly twenty Pirate Group MS units.
Avina whistled. "The boss's Gundam has some serious firepower. Hayato's Zephyranthes is no match for that."
Avina locked onto two targets. With the press of a button, her shoulder-mounted low-recoil cannons fired, engulfing the targets in explosions.
"Brothers and sisters, at this rate, the boss will take all the targets!" Avina exclaimed.
The other pilots intensified their attacks.
Tarou Sayama watched the last reinforcement fleet being decimated. The appearance of the heavily armed Gundam, combined with its devastating performance, sent a chill down his spine.
An officer reported. "Commander, there are unexplained attacks occurring within the base."
"What do you mean?" Tarou questioned.
"Attacks from unknown sources. All search teams have been eliminated," the officer explained.
"What about the thermal sensors? Why didn't they detect the enemy?" Tarou demanded.
"The attackers prioritized the thermal sensor teams, followed by ambushes on the remaining units," the officer reported.
Tarou Sayama realized that remaining in the command center meant certain death.
He retrieved his phone and dialed a familiar number.
"Mr. Sayama, have you made a decision?" the voice on the other end inquired.
"Give me the password," Tarou demanded.
After receiving the password, Tarou Sayama summoned his personal guard and instructed them to escort him to his private hangar. He had no intention of being eliminated by an unseen assailant.
"Damn it, it's a smoke bomb. Thermal sensors can't detect it."
Immediately after, the other pirates started coughing violently.
"Damn it, this smoke bomb has strong tear gas!"
Then, the pirates heard their companions' screams and saw their comrades falling in pools of blood beside them.
Many pirates were so scared that they abandoned their weapons and fled for their lives.
Many pirates who abandoned their weapons and fled in the smoke were shot dead by bullets from unknown sources. The remaining pirates who managed to escape the smoke had their bodies explode into countless sprays of blood, then fell to the ground, bleeding profusely.
On the scene, ten Antares Mercenaries in Martial Combat Armor appeared. The leader made a gesture, and the others immediately formed five-person teams, scattering in different directions.
On the other side, a fierce gunfight erupted at an important facility of the Sea Wolf Pirates.
Twenty-three Antares Mercenaries in Martial Combat Armor were taking cover and firing from several positions. Three Mercenaries were injured and were being treated by their companions.
Why were the Antares Mercenaries, who possessed cloaking Martial Combat Armor, discovered?
Mainly, there were smart people within the Pirate Group. Those wearing thermal sensors would only be targeted for priority attacks. A clever pirate came up with a method: try to lure the unseen enemies hiding in the shadows into this important facility with fire extinguishing capabilities.
Then, they activated the fire extinguishing function, and water poured down like a torrential rain, instantly revealing the cloaked Antares Mercenaries.
"Mayday, mayday, we are under fierce attack from the pirates here. We need fire support," one of the Mercenaries called for support from behind cover.
"Received. We will provide fire cover within 30 seconds."
"Hmph, these Mercenaries were cloaked before, making it impossible for us to find them. Now that they're exposed, they're no longer a threat. Brothers, let's wipe them all out."
All the pirates fired at full power towards the opposite building.
Suddenly, a pirate's head exploded like a watermelon, splattering brains everywhere.
"Damn, there's a sniper."
The pirates who were just firing at full power immediately ceased fire and sought cover.
One pirate, who couldn't get behind cover in time, was shot in the thigh and fell to the ground.
"Save me."
A pirate quickly ran to save his fallen companion.
A gunshot rang out, and the pirate who ran to save his companion was directly shot dead by the sniper.
After that, no pirate went to rescue their companion, only watching the fallen pirate wailing on the ground.
The wailing pirate didn't want to die. Driven by the will to survive, he dragged himself with his hands.
Another gunshot, directly severing one of his hands.
A louder scream echoed into the ears of the other pirates present.
Then another gunshot. This time, the target was not the wailing pirate on the ground, but another pirate hiding behind cover.
"There's more than one sniper! Run!"
The other pirates immediately fled to another room.
During their escape, several more pirates were shot down, but the other pirates did not stop or turn back to save their companions.
The snipers hiding in the dark, seeing that the pirates were not saving their fallen comrades, changed tactics and directly sniped the fleeing pirates.
The remaining dozen or so pirates ran into a relatively enclosed room.
Before they could even catch their breath, several walls around the room exploded violently, blowing large holes in them.
Several Antares Mercenaries burst out of each of the broken holes, instantly shooting down the dozen or so pirates who had just hidden in the room.
"What idiots, thinking that hiding behind cover or in other rooms would make us unable to see you. Our helmets' x-ray vision shows you clearly."
A revealed Mercenary stood over the pirates lying in pools of blood, mocking them.
On the other side, Tarou Sayama encountered an ambush.
