[Temporary Golden Phrase: Dragon Emperor's Blessing. Effect: Gain a true dragon form for three minutes, invincible during that time!

[Shall it be used immediately?]
"Use it!" Daniel said without hesitation.
The dragon phantom above Daniel's head directly entered his body. In an instant, his body changed dramatically! Golden dragon scales appeared on his pale skin. His black and white eyes turned into golden slit pupils. A curved dragon horn grew on his forehead, and behind him, a pair of semi-transparent dragon wings lifted him into the air!
A stronger dragon power suddenly interrupted Salior's forbidden spell in the middle of casting. The meteor in the sky had already come out half-way!
"No! It can't be true! How could you have real dragon blood?" Salior's mouth and nose bled as he roared helplessly.
In the Elden Kingdom, dragons were the strongest race. Any creature with even a little dragon blood was born a king!
Daniel ignored him. He looked at the meteor in the sky, flapped his wings, and raised his right hand like drawing a bow. Then he threw a punch. A huge dragon phantom flew out of his fist toward the meteor.
"Boom—"
The dragon phantom collided with the Starfall, causing a huge explosion. But no meteor fragments fell, and the sky returned to clear.
"It's your turn," Daniel said, looking at Salior. He opened his mouth and spat out a dragon's breath.
The dragon's breath wrapped around Salior. He didn't even have time to scream before he turned to ashes in the fire.
A seventh-level great mage, gone in an instant!
Everyone on the scene was shocked by Daniel's power. The seventh-level great mage who had just destroyed the world was now killed with a simple hand movement.
Daniel landed from the sky. The golden light on his body faded, and all the dragon features disappeared. But the dragon-like power that reached deep into his soul still remained.
Daniel looked at Governor Carl, who was lying on the ground. He spoke coldly, "Now it's time to settle our accounts."
"Daniel! You can't kill me!" Carl struggled desperately. "You've already killed Dylan and Salior. The Wizard Tower will surely send envoys to investigate. If you kill me, the king's appointed governor, the whole army of Elden Kingdom will come to attack you."
"Attack me?" Daniel laughed wildly. "Then let them come!"
Daniel waved his hand. Abraham and Alexander immediately tore Carl and the others into pieces.
Then a great weakness came over Daniel. He sat down by a tree, looked at the sky, and whispered, "Father, mother, I have avenged you. You can rest in peace now."
"Roar—"
"Chirp—"
"Boom boom boom—"
Suddenly, a painful beast cry rang out, followed by the sound of something heavy falling to the ground.
Daniel jerked awake and looked around, only to see the unexpected sight—Dylan was alive! Despite being chopped into pieces, he was now covered in black, tadpole-like markings and stood up again, alive and breathing.
The sound of something heavy falling was from a fourth-level beast, a griffin, and a ground-dwelling scaled beast. They had their life essence drained and were about to die.
"Hahahaha! I, the soul reaper Clayze, am back again!" Dylan laughed wildly.
It turned out that Salior had taken Daniel's talent away with a transfer spell made by Clayze in his lifetime — the Moonlight Mirror. It could force the target's talent to be taken away. Each time the Moonlight Mirror was used, Clayze's chance of resurrection increased.
"You boy, your aura is strange," Clayze said, looking at Daniel. Daniel didn't answer.
After carefully sensing, Clayze laughed excitedly, "Hahahaha! It's dragon aura. You must have had dragon blood in you?"
'System, are you there?' Daniel called out in his heart, but there was no response. 'It seems it's really sleeping. Am I really going to die?'
At this moment, Abraham and Alexander were quietly preparing to attack Clayze from behind. But Clayze used an arcane explosion, sending them flying and leaving them lying on the ground, barely alive.
Clayze was full of excitement and kept shouting, "Why aren't you answering me? If you don't want to answer, then die!"
Clayze lost patience and started to use a soul-pulling spell to force Daniel's soul out and check it.
"Roar—"
At the critical moment, a dragon's roar echoed through the sky. Clayze was blown away, and the black tadpole-like markings on his body faded.
A huge figure rushed quickly from the core of the Beast Mountains. It was a giant dragon!
It was over 150 meters long, covered in blood-red scales, with two huge wings that blocked out the sky. This was a ninth-level dark red dragon — Akasha, the true ruler of the Beast Mountains!
"Hahahaha! A dragon! The dragon race still has dragons!" Clayze laughed wildly, while chanting a spell.
Akasha's huge golden slit eyes looked coldly at Clayze, then he breathed out a stream of dragon fire.
The fierce and corrosive black flame rushed toward Clayze, twisting and breaking the space it passed through.
"Boom—"
The dragon fire exploded, and Clayze let out a scream. A purple light flashed, and he left a message: "Dark dragon, wait for me. The dragon hunters will soon gather in the Beast Mountains."
Daniel forced himself to stand up. He looked at Akasha with a complicated look and asked, "Who are you? Why did you save me?"
"You can call me Akasha. I am a dark red dragon," Akasha lowered his long head and sniffed Daniel. He spoke in a friendly tone, "There is dragon blood in you. Remember to go to the Dragon Fall Land one day."
"Remember to go to the Dragon Fall Land," Akasha said. Then, his whole body began to disappear.
Most of the light flowed into Daniel's body, while a small part fell on the surviving beasts. The light from Akasha did not increase Daniel's or the beasts' power, but it greatly enhanced the potential of all the living creatures present.
"Abraham, Alexander, are you okay?" Daniel was stunned. This was the first time he had seen a dragon, and he wanted to use the God-Level Affinity to make a contract with it. But Akasha immediately turned into light and disappeared.
"Howl—"
"Roar—"
The two beasts responded to Daniel. They meant that they were fine and told Daniel not to worry. Daniel was surprised to find that he could understand their meaning without making a mental link with them.
...
Sunrise Town.
"Daniel, you're awake!" A girl with long chestnut hair, green eyes, and a beautiful, delicate face saw Daniel standing on his own, and her face lit up with joy.
"Sophia, you're here. How is Grandpa Kodelon?" Daniel saw the girl, and his eyes showed a rare gentleness. He had a sad and helpless childhood, and Sophia was the softest and warmest light in his dark world.
Sophia took a piece of black bread and a small piece of salted meat from her basket and placed them in front of Daniel. She also kindly poured him a bowl of water and smiled as she answered, "Grandpa is fine. He helped Uncle Oli fix a plow two days ago."
"Mrs. Jene's cow had babies again. She owed a lot for making farm tools, so after talking with Grandpa, they decided to use the new female calf as payment. We'll be able to drink milk soon." Sophia kept talking, not caring if Daniel was listening. She talked about the new calves from Mrs. Jene's cow, and how many rabbits the hunter dog from Mr. Cabine caught. Her words were detailed, messy, and full of small things — but they were the daily life of the girl.
Daniel nodded occasionally while eating, as if he was listening. The events of these days felt like a dream, but this girl in front of him was so real and full of life.
"Daniel! It's not polite to stare at a girl like that!" Sophia, with her pale face, pouted and said.
"Sorry, Sophia. I was thinking about something and got lost in thought." Daniel realized and quickly apologized, afraid that Sophia might misunderstand.
"Okay, I forgive you. Just remember not to stare at a girl all the time." Sophia laughed as she saw Daniel being serious. She smiled happily, "Then I'll go back. Leave the dishes here, I'll come tomorrow to pick them up."
"I'll walk you back," Daniel stood up and started heading out before Sophia even had a chance to agree.
Sophia followed happily, and the two walked side by side. The sunset stretched their shadows long and long.
