The Death Ground of the Mad War Mercenary Group
"Eric is dead," Gareth said, full of anger. "The whole Mad War Mercenary Group is dead!"
"How is that possible? They arrived in Sunrise Town before us. Who killed them?" the noble beside him said in disbelief. "It couldn't have been Daniel. The enemy doesn't have that kind of power."
"Hmph! No matter what, Daniel must die today," Gareth said coldly. "And all the civilians in Sunrise Town must die as well. Kill them all! This is the punishment for hiding Daniel!"
The men who followed him smiled bloodily, ready to start a massacre in Sunrise Town.
"Go, enter Sunrise Town," Gareth said, riding his horse over the bodies. "Kill all the dirty civilians."
"Kill!" the nobles said in agreement, their eyes now full of killing intent.
Just as Gareth and his group were about to enter Sunrise Town, a calm voice came out of nowhere.
"Is that so? Kill everyone?" Daniel said, calm but with a cold look in his eyes. "Today, only you will die. Abraham, Alexander, Griffin, Max, go!"
Seeing Daniel suddenly appear, Gareth's group was shocked, then smiled with anger. "Daniel, since you came out on your own, you're dead!"
"Second-level magic — Fire Blast!" Gareth was about to cast a spell when Griffin suddenly fell from the sky, his claw piercing through the head, and then he fell off the horse.
"What? Fourth-level beast, Griffin!" the nobles cried in fear. "No, this is impossible! Quick, you guys kill Daniel!"
As the nobles shouted their orders, the soldiers tried to charge at Daniel, but their hands were shaking.
Before the soldiers could reach Daniel, Alexander suddenly attacked, breaking their formation and splashing blood everywhere.
At the same time, Abraham appeared like a shadow, and each of his attacks took a life. It was like the whisper of death itself.
"Ah! I don't want to fight anymore!" the soldiers who were broken by Alexander looked terrified and tried to run away.
They were killed by Max, and none of them escaped.
"You think you can kill me? You can't," Daniel said calmly, but his aura was terrifying.
"Fourth-level Griffin, third-level silverback bear, second-level shadow wolf," the nobles cried in shock, "and a fourth-level ground-dwelling scaled beast!"
This Daniel was completely different from what they had imagined.
"Now, it's your turn," Daniel said, his eyes colder. "Griffin, Max, kill them."
"No, no! We are nobles!" the nobles were terrified. "Daniel, you can't kill us!"
Griffin and Max ignored the nobles' pleas, and with cruel eyes, they brought down the final judgment of death.
A series of blood blossoms burst, and then the bodies fell off the horses and hit the ground.
Before they died, the nobles still had expressions of fear and disbelief on their faces.
A mere commoner dared to kill the world's most noble lords.
"Death is too easy for you," Daniel said coldly, sneering. "You all have committed so many crimes. Punishing you in the worst way is no problem at all."
"How bold!" Agwa, the Holy Light Knight, said in disbelief from afar. "This heretic must be executed!"
"But, I still have the task from the Knight King," Agwa didn't forget his mission. "I'll deal with this heretic later."
"Let's go. Let's continue to search for the dragon in the Beast Mountains." Agwa started to leave.
"Yes!" The knights beside him also started to move.
Max felt Agwa's departure and told Daniel about it.
"Did he run away?" Daniel said calmly. But he still didn't chase after him.
What was more important now was Sophia and Elder Kodelon, who were leaving through the secret passage.
"Let's go get Sophia," Daniel said, patting Max's head gently.
Max nodded. Alexander and Abraham came closer, showing affection.
...
The other entrance of the secret passage.
"Sophia, don't worry," Elder Kodelon comforted her. "Daniel will be fine."
He believed that Daniel, who had stayed behind, must have made a careful decision.
"Daniel," Sophia's face was almost in tears. "I want to go back and find Daniel."
"You don't need to. I'm back," Daniel's voice came.
"Daniel!" Sophia turned around and saw Daniel, and said in surprise.
Then Sophia walked forward and hugged Daniel tightly, not letting go.
"Relax, I'm here," Daniel said softly, feeling her soft body in his arms, and he gently touched her head.
Sophia looked up, and her eyes met Daniel's dark, deep ones. The atmosphere became a little hot.
Her face turned red, like two red apples. She shyly pulled away from Daniel's comforting arms.
"Daniel, what are we going to do now?" Only then did Elder Kodelon walk forward and ask gently, "Can we go back to Sunrise Town?"
Elder Kodelon's words expressed the feelings of all the people from Sunrise Town present.
Without land and home, they didn't know how to live.
"Let's build a new Sunrise Town in the Beast Mountains," Daniel said, his eyes shining. "The Beast Mountains are safe with me."
"Really, Daniel? I believe in you," Sophia was the first to support him, her face still slightly red.
"A new Sunrise Town in the Beast Mountains?" Elder Kodelon seemed to make a big decision. "Okay, I believe in you."
Although Elder Kodelon didn't know the real situation, he chose to believe in Daniel.
The Beast Mountains, the outermost area.
A group of Sunrise Town civilians came here, some of them were scared.
"You don't have to be afraid. This place will become the new Sunrise Town," Daniel comforted them. "The beasts here won't attack you."
With God-Level Affinity and the heart of the Dragon Emperor, Daniel returning to the Beast Mountains was like going home.
"Yes, Daniel," Sophia nodded firmly, showing her agreement.
"I hope so," Elder Kodelon said, though his face showed worry, he didn't disagree.
At the same time, Agwa on the other side of the Beast Mountains looked excited.
"There are dragons here!" Agwa said, feeling carefully. "I can feel the dragon's energy."
"Then are we going back now?" The knights were happy and asked cautiously.
"Yes, right now," Agwa said confidently. "Tell Knight King Raymond about this news."
Agwa didn't hesitate any longer. He immediately left with the knights, ready to gather forces to hunt the dragons in the Beast Mountains.
...
The Beast Mountains, the outer area.
A group of thin and weak refugees came here. They walked unsteadily, as if they might fall at any moment.
"Are we really going into the Beast Mountains?" One of the refugees said, looking scared. "I heard there are many terrifying beasts here."
This refugee was hesitant, not sure if he should follow the others into the Beast Mountains.
They had heard that ordinary people who entered the Beast Mountains would only end up as fertilizer.
The refugee leader was surprised when he heard this, but he still said, "We don't have anywhere else to go. The noble lords will kill us as soon as they see us."
"The Beast Mountains is our last place to go," the leader said, then stopped for a moment. "As long as we survive the beasts' attacks, we'll be okay."
Saying this, the leader looked determined on the outside, but he felt a deep sadness inside.
They had been sentenced to death just for knocking over the noble's daughter's birthday cake.
Not wanting to die, they had run all the way here to the Beast Mountains.
"Let's keep going," the leader shook off his thoughts and walked forward first. "Staying here only means death. I believe you don't want that."
Hearing the leader's words and seeing his actions, the other refugees bit their lips and followed.
But before the leader could walk a few more steps, strange sounds suddenly came from the surroundings.
It was as if something was watching them from the darkness.
"Stop! We need to stop! There's danger!" The leader shouted. "If we keep going, we'll die!"
At that moment, Alexander stepped out from the bushes. His big shadow fell over the leader.
