"Alright then _ Cause it's about to get real we are now entering the second event of the festival and it's going to be a real boombastic event are you ready!!!!!!"

"YYYYYEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!"

"Alright then everyone hold on to your seats and your valuables heh! Cause it's time for a treasure hunt!!!!!!"

Hearing this everyone began to discuss with eachother about who will progress, who will lose, what are the rules of this game and everyone was expecting a real show.

"Over to you midnight"

"Thanks present mic as you know treasure hunts are all about well hunting treasure and this time the treasures are these gold tickets to the final event.

The rules are simple the students will be blindly told to enter a gate into the training ground gamma where you'll wait until the game begins.

After the start of the game you are to move throughout the city to look for suitcases that with the emblem of UA on it which may or maynot contain the ticket.

That's right there are decoy suitcases spread along side the other real 16 suitcases and there is also the fact that you can't open them if you do you're disqualified.

At the end of the game whoever the tickets inside their suitcases gets to go to the next event simple right.

And now the kicker the first place of the previous event gets a suitcase with a ticket at the start of the game and will have to defend it until the end Nice right Good luck my dear youths" she concludes with a satisfied smile.

Now everyone was looking at Bakugo's direction like wolfs staring at a prey as the continuous stare created so much pressure it would break anyone.....

Anyone that isn't Katsuki Bakugo -

"Hoh so a double edge sword huh heh"

Midoriya immediately knew what that smile was and braces himself.

After about 30 minutes of setting up the location and the students everything was ready and so were the students.

The sun glared over the UA sports grounds, casting long shadows across the sprawling obstacle course that had been transformed for the festival's main event: the Treasure Hunt Gauntlet. Students buzzed with energy, eyes scanning for clues, traps, and most importantly, each other.

At the center of the field, standing with a casual yet unmissable air of triumph, was Katsuki Bakugo. His chest puffed out slightly, the medal from the previous event glinting against his jacket, and in his hand, he clutched a small, ornate suitcase—one of the 16 treasures everyone would be scrambling for.

The moment midnight yelled, "Ready, set, hunt!", the crowd of classmates froze—not because Bakugo started moving, but because Bakugo was standing there, smirking like he owned the event itself.

Eyes from all sides locked onto him. Some students were crouched, calculating angles like predators circling prey. Midoriya's wide-eyed determination flared, Todoroki's calm gaze followed every subtle movement, and a few others muttered under their breath, plotting alliances or sneak attacks.

Bakugo, noticing the intensity, stepped forward, cracking his knuckles. "Listen up, idiots. I'm not your prey. You wanna get this treasure?" His voice carried over the field, sharp and lethal. "Then you'll have to earn it. Don't think I'm just gonna hand it over."

A tense silence fell for a heartbeat, then the chaos erupted. Students scattered like bursts of colored powder, diving into the maze of obstacles, zip-lines, and hidden corners. But Bakugo didn't rush; he moved strategically, baiting, dodging, and occasionally exploding small bursts of controlled blasts—not to hurt, but to keep anyone who tried to rush him at bay.

His confidence was a magnet for the hunters. Everyone wanted that treasure, but Bakugo's smirk and cocky words made it clear: he wasn't afraid of anyone here. He was a challenge, a moving target that would test every ounce of their strategy, teamwork, and cunning.

Even the usually fearless heroes-in-training felt that pulse of tension: this wasn't just a treasure hunt. This was Bakugo vs. everyone else, and he fully intended to come out on top.

Bakugo stood on a raised platform at the center of the sports field, the treasure suitcase in one hand and the sun glinting off his sharp eyes. Students slowly circled him after a few minutes of failed engagement like predators sizing up a target, but he didn't flinch. Instead, he let out a loud, booming voice that carried across the entire arena.

"Alright, listen up, losers!" he barked, the words sharp as a whip crack. "Since you all clearly didn't hear me the first time I'll tell you again I'm the one holding one of the damn treasures, and I don't care how many of you think you can take it from me. You hear that? I said don't care!"

A ripple of whispers ran through the crowd. Some students exchanged nervous glances; others clenched their fists in determination but many were clearly frustrated.

Bakugo's smirk widened, and he pointed at them, blazing with intensity. "Yeah, yeah, I see you all staring at me like I'm some snack you're about to pounce on. Newsflash—I'm not your prey. Not now, not ever. If you want this treasure, you're gonna have to fight for it. You think this is just a game? Hah! This is me showing you how it's done!"

While the whole one vs all was going on in the middle of the battlefield others like Bill Armstrong, victor pendragon, Nearl Pegasus, Todoroki and Aoko completely avoided that noisy area to search for the other treasures as that whole show was nothing but a waste of time.

And Aoko figured that Bakugo talking was essentially the closed thing he'd ever do to running from a fight he was stalling cause even he wouldn't last am entire journey against so many students especially the foreign ones with strong capabilities shee heard him paused but then smiled.

Meanwhile letting his words sink in, scanning every student like a hawk measuring its flock Bakugo got loud"You think you can gang up on me? Use teamwork? Try your sneaky tactics? Go ahead! I don't care. I thrive on chaos! You get close, I explode. You plan around me, I'll cut you off. You're gonna have to be faster, smarter, and luckier than you've ever been if you even want a chance at that treasure."

Bakugo slammed the treasure box onto the platform with a sharp thud, making everyone jump. "And one more thing," he growled, stepping forward, eyes blazing. "This isn't about playing safe, hiding, or whining. This is about dominating. So don't even try to act like I'm just standing here waiting for you to take it. I'm Bakugo Katsuki. You either take me down, or you go home empty-handed. Got it?"

This put every fool in his vacinity in stunned silence, then whispers turned into excited murmurs. Every student knew one thing for sure: Bakugo wasn't bluffing, and the hunt just got a hundred times more dangerous.

He crossed his arms, looking like he owned the entire field. "Now get moving, losers. And remember—I always win."

Midoriya who was watching this from a distance stood near the edge of the field, half-hidden behind a scaffold tower, arms loosely folded as Bakugo's voice echoed across the stadium he didn't flinch at the shouting he just… watched.

Every word Bakugo threw at the crowd landed exactly the way Midoriya knew it would.

Bakugo's stance was familiar—weight forward, shoulders loose, chin high. Not reckless. Never reckless. Even when he looked like he was daring the world to dogpile him, Bakugo was already three moves ahead.

This was something he did when he was absolutely serious about something. He's painting himself as the biggest target so everyone forgets there are fifteen other treasures.

"Same old Kacchan," Midoriya murmured under his breath. "Loud, impossible… and completely serious."

"Hah when was the last time I actually started to act like this again ah yes it was back at the gym wasn't it ..." The air around midoriya changed at that moment on normal occasions he would have clenched his fist and pumped himself with determination to proof himself to everyone.

But now at this moment it was different this was something that happened a year ago right before Aoko and the others joined during a serious spar against Bakugo, midoriya who getting desperate to prove himself to Bakugo made and unconventional change in his psyche..... A personality shift.

Gone was the once meek and determined Izuku midoriya now it was the confident and silent midoriya Izuku a reverse of his normal self this transformation is triggered by midoriya voluntarily only against Bakugo at first but now he could do it at will when he had to get serious and serious was what he needed to be.

He exhaled slowly, adjusting the tape on his wrists, gaze flicking from Bakugo to the terrain elevation points, choke zones, vaultable walls. He wasn't interested in chasing Bakugo head-on not yet at least.

Midoriya rolled his shoulders, then dropped smoothly from the beam, landing without a sound. His body moved with gymnast precision, eyes already scanning escape routes, blind spots from all angles.

It was time both of them get serious to show who they really are now.
