206. Lemuen: These Two are Really Interesting Together
The first rays of morning sunlight pierced the darkness, illuminating the outline of the room.
In the darkness, two pairs of eyes opened almost simultaneously. One pair blinked lazily before quickly closing again.
However, just a few seconds later—
"Agh—! Holy crap! Xiling, you did this on purpose!!" The Doctor's shrill scream shattered the silence.
"Oh dear," Xiling's voice, tinged with insincere surprise, rang out in the darkness.
"I'm so sorry, I thought there was a speed bump on the ground. Oh no!"
"So, I stepped on your noble hand?" His tone was almost overflowing with pleasure, but unfortunately, the doctor, whose face was contorted in the darkness, could only imagine his delighted expression.
"Speed bump, my foot! You're just deliberately seeking revenge! You petty, vindictive bastard! I'll remember this! I'll never forget this kick!"
The doctor clutched his crushed hand, rolling and groaning on the cold floor, looking like a slimy scorched by the sun in a dark corner.
"Tsk, a dignified Rhodes Island doctor, such a petty temper won't do you any good," Xiling retorted lightly, pulling back the heavy curtains.
The blinding sunlight poured in instantly, precisely enveloping the doctor who was rolling on the ground.
"Aaaaah! My eyes! My eyes!" The doctor let out an even more pitiful howl, desperately covering his face with his arms and shrinking into the shadows.
Xiling didn't even bother to look at him. He stretched comfortably in the morning light, his bones making a soft popping sound.
As for why Rhodes Island's VIP guest would be crammed into a room with the Doctor, with one occupying a single bed and the other ending up on the floor? That's another story altogether.
Rhodes Island had prepared only one room, but the two Sankta sisters had taken it all. The older Sankta sister invited him in with a mischievous grin, and the younger Sankta sister didn't object. If it were a hot-blooded young man, he might have just gone in and had a good sleep.
Unfortunately, the hero's blood is cold, and he doesn't want to be mocked. If he could, he would like to have a bed all to himself. Just as he was about to go to Rhodes Island to ask for a room, he ran into the Doctor.
Although the other party is a bit of a goofball, he is still one of the leaders of Rhodes Island.
So Xiling told the other party about his predicament, and the other party patted his chest and assured him that he would definitely prepare a room that would satisfy Xiling.
Then.
Doctor: Come to my room, I have some nice things in my room!
Xiling: What's so interesting?
Doctor: You'll see when you get here!
Xiling: It's not that kind of thing, is it?
Doctor: It's even more exciting than that stuff!
Doctor: You'll understand when you get here.
After Xiling followed the Doctor into his room, it was indeed very exciting, and he had a great time all night!
The doctor was thoroughly entertained all night.
"Although your skills are terrible, you have the eyes of a lion when you play the game," Xiling offered his praise.
"…What the hell?" The doctor got up from the ground.
The professor couldn't understand what the other person meant by "lion," but he figured it couldn't be anything good.
"By the way, you're leaving today, right?" The Doctor looked at Xiling, who was taking toiletries out of his Starry Cloak.
The other person mentioned this during a break in the game last night.
"We've met the people we needed to meet and done what we could. Now it's time for us to get on with the rest of the matter."
The two began washing up in the bathroom.
"So, where are you going next?" the professor mumbled, brushing his teeth.
"Probably... heading northwest." Xiling rinsed his mouth.
"Northwest?" The Doctor quickly pulled up a map of Terra in his mind.
"Columbia?"
"To be more precise, the main Corosa vein." Xiling wiped his face clean.
"The main mine of Corosa, what are you going there for?" the Doctor asked, somewhat puzzled.
He couldn't think of anything he could do in a place like that.
Xiling simply smiled at him through the mirror, offering no reply. He was going there to retrieve something—the original Originium—Ananna.
Then, through Ananna, they found a lady who had always refused to communicate—Priestess.
The other party has been hiding from Xiling. She should exist among all the Originium, but he couldn't find any trace of her in the places he could reach. It's as if the other party has hidden away and is unwilling to make contact with him.
This... won't do.
If the other party continues to evade him, then Xiling may resort to some unconventional methods, but if he does so, then he may cause a huge commotion on Terra.
It is even possible that something neither side would want to happen.
"I'm leaving now." At the corner of the dormitory corridor, Xiling casually waved to the Doctor and headed towards the Sankta Sisters' room.
"Give me a shout when you leave, at least let me see you off." The Doctor waved and ran towards the cafeteria to finish breakfast; he still had a lot of work to do that day.
"I guess it'll be very busy..."
In particular, some Rhodes Island personnel were unable to return yesterday due to missions outside and thus did not receive treatment for Oripathy. The Doctor had to come up with an explanation for this, even though he had already prepared one.
But the necessary work will definitely be done.
-----------
The doorway to the Sankta Sisters' room.
Xiling raised her hand and gently knocked on the door.
Inside the door, a pair of pink eyes suddenly opened in the darkness.
Lemuen turned her head to look at Exusiai, who was sleeping soundly beside her with a little drool at the corner of her mouth, and a gentle ripple spread across her face.
The sisters hadn't seen each other for a long time. They chatted until very late last night. Even though they had already discussed many topics in their letters, their conversation in person felt even more precious. It wasn't until Exusiai's eyelids drooped and she fell into a deep sleep that she tucked her in.
Outside the door, Xiling waited patiently for a response.
The door opened a crack silently, and a hand suddenly reached out and pulled him inside!
"What's going on..." Xiling hadn't finished speaking when he was slammed against the door.
Lemuen skillfully wrapped her arms around his neck, stood on tiptoe, and delivered a long, slightly aggressive good morning kiss, completely silencing all his questions.
The two separated only after several tens of seconds, a thread stretching and breaking in the morning light.
Lemuen then wiped her lips with her fingertip, a mischievous glint in her pink eyes: "Good morning."
"Good morning..." Xiling raised his hand to wipe the corner of his lips and sighed helplessly, "It's rare to see you get up late."
Lemuen lazily gathered her long hair behind her back and walked towards the bathroom:
"I had such a great time chatting with Lemuel last night, it's a pity you weren't here."
"What am I going to do here at that time? This is so embarrassing, okay?" Xiling rolled his eyes.
"How could that be?" Lemuen's voice, tinged with laughter, came from the bathroom, accompanied by the sound of running water.
"Lemuel actually likes you quite a bit. Maybe we can even get together for a three-player poker game?"
She paused, then added in a relaxed tone, "Oh, I forgot to wake Lemuel up. Why don't you go and wake her up?"
"Okay," Xiling replied and walked to the bedside.
Beneath the soft down comforter, Exusiai was already frozen stiff, her cheeks burning hot enough to fry an egg. Actually, she woke up when the door opened! Then she saw her older sister pinning her brother-in-law against the door… in a scene worthy of being rated R!
Even though there was no empathic connection transmitting images at this moment, the memories of that night were instantly awakened, as if a fire had been ignited deep within her body, and a burning sensation coursed through her entire body.
Xiling walked to the bedside, looked at the tightly wrapped quilt, and was momentarily speechless. How should he address this younger sister-in-law?
"Let's call just her Lemuel, just like Lemuen did," Xiling decided, softening his voice as much as possible.
"Lemuel, it's time to get up."
Just as Exusiai took a deep breath, preparing to respond with her most normal, sleepy nasal voice, a familiar and intense pleasure, like an electric current coursing through her spine, surged forth from the other end of her body without warning! It completely shattered her restraint!
"Mmm~ Sister... Brother-in-law~!" A sweet, trembling moan escaped uncontrollably from under the covers.
Xiling's expression went blank for a moment.
In the bathroom, Lemuen slowly dried her hands in front of the mirror, a smug, cat-like smile of extreme pleasure spreading across her face.
She had just gently scratched the other end through the empathy between the sisters, and she discovered that when Xiling was present, and she was teasing her younger sister, she would get two different reactions from Xiling and Lemuel... It's getting more and more interesting.
