Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Shocked, Red Spider-Man

"Ding! Temporary mission system activated. Destroy the spider monster. Reward: 1% of the power of the original Spider-Man."

As the spider monster appeared, John Smith, hiding at the alley entrance, received a prompt.

Even if it was only 1% of his power, a little bit adds up, and with enough accumulation, he could eventually possess all of Spider-Man's power.

"What are we waiting for? Let's do it!"

John dropped his backpack, donned a baseball cap and mask, and ran against the crowd toward the spider monster.

If he truly wanted to conceal his identity, hiding in the alley and secretly changing into his combat uniform would be the best approach.

But... wouldn't that be boring?

Traveling is all about excitement.

Beneath his mask, John flashed a devilish smile.

No one would see, so no one would be embarrassed.

Meanwhile, as citizens fled, police officers pointed their guns at the spider monster. However, under George's command, they didn't fire, irritating the creature. Instead, they focused on Spider-Woman.

This wasn't the first time the spider monster appeared.

Ordinary bullets were ineffective against such a monster.

"Chief, look over there," the veteran officer pointed at John, rapidly approaching the spider monster.

George cursed inwardly, "Have the officers on guard. Leave the rest to Spider-Woman."

"Yes."

The officers stood guard, guns drawn, ready for action.

"Shhhhhhhhhh!"

Finally, sensing someone approaching, the spider monster aimed at John.

Snacks had arrived at the door.

"Crack, crack, crack..."

Sparks flew as the sinister spider legs scraped the ground. The spider monster took a running start and lunged at John, its fangs bared, eager to taste the snack.

"Just in time! I'll use this against you."

As John ran, a thought flashed through his mind, and a red and blue card featuring a 3D illustration of Spider-Man appeared between his fingers.

With a flick, the card transformed into a man-sized portal descending from the sky.

Within the portal, a classic red and blue Spider-Man suit glowed faintly.

"Shock!"

The spider monster swooped down, colliding with the portal and being sent flying by immense force.

"Buzz!"

John, still running, leaped into the portal, his figure overlapping with the Spider-Man suit inside.

"Ding! Suit in use..."

"Kacha..."

With a shattering glass sound, the portal exploded. A red and blue figure launched a stream of spider silk, using the momentum to soar into the air. He released several strands of silk, catching the spider monster, which had been flung away by the portal.

Pulling on the silk, the red and blue figure approached the spider monster at breakneck speed, closing in on it in the blink of an eye.

At that moment, John bent his legs and thrust hard against the spider monster's jaws.

"Bang!"

The combined force sent the spider monster crashing into a roadside building, blasting a massive hole in the wall.

"Crash..."

Bricks and dust flew, engulfing the spider monster. The red and blue figure launched himself through the silk, leveraging the momentum to land gracefully.

In just two seconds, the tide turned, stunning the onlookers before they reacted.

"What?"

"Oh my God, what am I seeing?"

"It's Spider-Man..."

"The Red Spider-Man!"

The witnesses exclaimed in shock, including the previously dismissive police officers.

George, unable to maintain composure, was more shocked than anyone else.

"How is this possible? A mutant spider's genes..."

The words reached his lips, but George, wary of his surroundings, swallowed them back.

Meanwhile, Spider-Woman, clinging to the high wall, tilted her head curiously, gazing at the figure below. "Hi, Mr. Spider-Man, how are you?" she couldn't help but wave.

John glanced up, nodded slightly, and said nothing.

"Ding! Temporary mission completed, rewards distributed..."

John clapped his hands, his first monster fight a success.

The three generations of Spider-Man each had their strengths: the first generation's strength and stamina, the second's agility and spider-sense. All three had balanced attributes, but thanks to the custom suits designed by Iron Man, their lethality far surpassed the previous generations.

The first generation's immense strength, enough to stop a subway train, allowed John to confront the spider monster head-on.

The onlookers were stunned by the brutal scene.

"Oh my God, am I seeing this right? This Mr. Spider-Man seems a little different."

"I hope my Spider-Goddess doesn't follow his example; she just needs to stay elegant."

"Yes, leave the brutality to Mr. Spider-Man."

The male citizens prayed, but the female citizens couldn't resist the hormone-fueled monster-fighting style.

"Oh my God, this Mr. Spider-Man is so charming."

...

Spider-Woman, watching the fight, was astonished. She hadn't expected Mr. Spider-Man's power to be so exaggerated, yet he could end the fight so brutally.

Driven by curiosity, Spider-Woman leaped from the high wall, landing lightly beside John.

"Mr. Spider-Man, shouldn't we have a chat?"

John nodded, "Of course..."

"Bang!"

A gunshot echoed, interrupting their conversation. George led the officers to surround them.

"Spider-Man, you're not coming here. Please don't resist. Put your hands on your head and follow us to the station."

George pointed his gun at John, ignoring Spider-Woman, a strange sight.

Beneath his mask, John's face showed no sign of surprise, let alone nervousness.

"Officer, give me some respect, at least..."

"Put your hands on your head!" George interrupted.

John: "..."

"Well, I've seen you guys with guns in the movies. I hope we can talk about life."

He threw his hands up helplessly and stepped forward, startling the officers into a cold sweat, nearly causing them to open fire.

"Wait, I don't think you should be doing this."

Spider-Woman stepped in front of John, trying to calm both sides.

"Spider-Woman, please help us capture this Spider-Man."
