Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Three Generations of Spider-Man Together

At the mouth of the Hudson River, on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, dawn breaks. The Statue of Liberty, a beacon of freedom and democracy, proudly holds its torch aloft. A faint figure, cloaked in red, stands atop it.

Exaggerated dimensional rifts continue spreading wildly across the sky. The figure atop the torch desperately casts magic, barely managing to patch the expanding rifts.

Yet, human power has its limits; even the might of the Supreme Sorcerer cannot mend these terrifying dimensional rifts. Should they spread further, the consequences would be dire. The world teeters on the brink of danger!

At the Statue of Liberty's base lies Captain America's shield, initially intended to replace the torch. Due to the war's aftermath, the colossal shield crashes onto the shore. Atop it, three figures embrace, as if bidding a final farewell.

Meanwhile, across from Liberty Island, on a rooftop, John Smith lowers his telescope and gazes at the unstoppable rifts in the sky. Facing impending global catastrophe, his youthful face remains calm, even curling into a smile.

"Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Electro, Lizardman, Sandman, Doctor Strange, and three Peter Parkers. Witnessing three generations of Spider-Man in person makes this trip worthwhile."

John Smith smiles faintly, casually dropping his binoculars and raising the camera around his neck to capture the precious moment of the three Spider-Men embracing in the distance.

"Click..."

As the photo snaps, an emotionless system notification echoes in John Smith's ears.

"Ding! Witness the entire battle between three generations of Spider-Man, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizardman, and Sandman..."

"Novice mission completed, reward: 1 first-generation Spider-Man suit."

"Novice mission completed, reward: 1 second-generation Spider-Man suit."

"Novice mission completed, reward: 1 third-generation Spider-Man suit."

John Smith's expression remains calm, yet his hands tremble slightly, betraying his excitement.

Less than a week into his journey through the Marvel Universe, John Smith has quickly adapted to this superhero world. Having watched *Spider-Man: No Homecoming*, these beginner's missions seem effortless, though the rewards puzzle him.

Spider-Man's powers originate from within; the suit merely complements. Possessing a Spider-Man suit won't instantly turn an ordinary person into a superhero.

Reflecting, John Smith subconsciously summons the system panel, unveiling a virtual interface before him.

[Spider-Man Suit (Generation I)]

[Wearing the suit temporarily grants you all the powers of the first-generation Spider-Man...]

[Spider-Man Suit (Generation II)]

[Wearing the suit temporarily grants you all the powers of the second-generation Spider-Man...]

[Spider-Man Nano Iron Suit (Generation III)]

Reading the Spider-Man suit descriptions, John Smith's eyes ignite with excitement. For the restless John Smith, acquiring Spider-Man's powers means he won't remain an insignificant spectator on his journey.

Before he can test the Spider-Man suit's power, the system prompt sounds again.

"Ding! The official mission begins..."

[The Marvel Multiverse opens, and we're about to enter Spider-Man's Fourth Universe.]

[Mission One: Find Spider-Man.]

"Huh?" John Smith frowns. Another journey so soon?

Well, he's curious about the other Spider-Men in the multiverse. But that'll have to wait.

John Smith looks toward the Statue of Liberty and sees the torch suddenly bursting with golden light, spreading rapidly across the city, even enveloping the entire Earth. Wherever the golden light touches, villains like Doctor Octopus, Electro, and the Green Goblin vanish. The two Peter Parkers disappear with a smile.

The dimensional rift finally heals, the superheroes saving the world. John Smith's eyes narrow, a hint of yearning in his tone: "This is the power of the Sorcerer Supreme..."

"Whoosh..."

Suddenly, white spider webs shoot from the rooftop's edge, and a familiar figure lands beside him.

John Smith turns to see a person in a red and blue metallic battle suit, adorned with golden patterns, giving it a high-tech feel.

Peter Parker, the third-generation Spider-Man!

"Hi, hello Mr. Spider-Man!" John Smith smiles and waves.

His English isn't great, but with the system's help, simultaneous translation is easy. For time travelers, language barriers don't exist.

The little spider, in melancholy, hears someone greet him, surprised.

"You... remember me?"

The mask of the battle suit disappears, and the little spider stares incredulously at the young man before him, eyes wide.

The price of repairing the dimensional rift is that everyone forgets Spider-Man, including Doctor Strange.

The little spider nervously watches the sky, fearing the rift's return. After a while, seeing nothing unusual, hope fills his heart.

"There's a bug in Mr. Stephen's magic. Is it possible they still remember me?"

Considering this possibility, Spider-Man excitedly approaches John Smith for a hug.

Well, it's a fan benefit!

"Thanks..."

"Wait, Mr. Spider-Man, maybe shower before hugging me."

But John Smith steps back, clearly put off by the other's sweaty scent.

Spider-Man: "..."

Is this guy not my fan?

Well, definitely not, he might have even cursed me online.

Due to Mysterio's revelations, everyone knows Spider-Man's identity, and countless citizens hate him, greatly affecting Peter Parker's life. If not for this, he wouldn't have asked Doctor Strange for a spell to erase his identity, and none of this would have happened.

Spider-Man awkwardly withdraws the hug, rubbing his hands and looking around, forcing a smile.

"Um, haha, well, good morning, sir. I'll go shower first... No, I have something else to do, so I'll be leaving now. Bye."

With that, Spider-Man's mask covers his face, and he leaps from the rooftop, swinging through the buildings.

"MJ, will you remember me?"

As he swings, Spider-Man's mind races. Perhaps not remembering is a blessing...

He thinks of Aunt May's death.

With great power comes great responsibility. I remember!

"Hey, Mr. Spider-Man, are you heading home?"

A familiar voice suddenly calls out, and Spider-Man instinctively looks away.

"What?"

Spider-Man's masked eyes narrow in disbelief.

What did he see?

Spider-Man's nanometal suit!

"Whoosh..."

John Smith, wearing the same nanosuit, mimics Spider-Man's movements and gestures, awkwardly swinging through the buildings, greeting him as he passes.

"Mr. Spider-Man, watch out ahead!"

Seeing the little spider dazed mid-air, John Smith kindly warns him, shooting another web from his wrist, swinging high and flashing past the little spider's eyes.

"Watch out ahead?"

The little spider turns, his eye mask enlarging.

"Oops..."

"Bang!!"

With a thud, a human-shaped hole appears on the GG sign beside the road, sparks flying.

John Smith, high in the air, looks down, shaking his head slightly.

Sure enough, this guy's spider sense is an active skill.
