Chapter 15 - The Blade Of Sun

"The user has died. Activating Regression Skill!"

"John, there's something I must tell you before you go fight Silver."The speaker's face showed seriousness and tension. It was none other than William — the strongest S-rank hunter in America.

"What is it, William?" John asked, surprised by his expression.

"I know you intend to fight Silver alone. That's why you need to listen to what I have to say first."No one had dared to face Silver after witnessing his power. Even those who wanted to go knew they would only be a burden to John.

Suddenly, John's face froze in terror — not because of William's words, but because of his death in the South American disaster and his sudden return to this very moment.

"John, what's wrong?!" William was startled by John's expression. He tried to calm him down after seeing him like that.

The Regression skill wasn't perfect. Each time John regressed, he could still feel the pain of his death — a pain no normal human could endure. But John had endured it multiple times already. His mental fortitude was extraordinary. He only needed a few moments to steady himself.

"It seems… I came back before fighting Silver," John thought to himself.

"You can stay behind if you don't want to face him," William said with worry in his voice.

John didn't know that this regression would be different from the previous ones. After all, the last time his regression activated, it was after years of training.

"Don't worry. I just remembered something. You can continue."John didn't want to tell William about his unique skill.

William continued his explanation, just as in the previous timeline, and John didn't interrupt him.

After a while, John headed toward the place where Silver and his subordinates — Zaghleth and Orwen — were waiting. He began fighting them just like before.

After some time, he killed them again — but this time, he took their mana stones.Silver grew furious when he saw that.Mana stones weren't ordinary objects for dragons; they were their very hearts. Some monsters lacked mana stones, but there was no dragon without one.

After all, dragons were magical beings — how could they exist without a mana core?

Silver attacked John with even greater rage than before, turning Orwen and Zaghleth's bodies to ash with his flames. But soon, the situation began to shift in John's favor. Silver used the Robe of Hell again, and John responded by activating Waters of Eden, defeating and enslaving Silver once more — just like before.

Nothing changed from his previous life except that John now possessed Zaghleth's and Orwen's mana stones.John knew he couldn't enslave all three monsters at once, so he chose the best possible outcome and executed it.

He spent the same amount of time fighting Silver, using the same methods, to make sure Silver wouldn't choose death over servitude. If John had shown him the Waters of Eden skill from the start, the fight would have ended in five minutes —but that would have made Silver lose all hope of freedom.

Everything continued as before, up until the day of preparation.

John entered an abandoned house to prepare for the coming battle, just like last time. But now, with the information he possessed, his power would be far greater against the next disaster.

He received the same three rewards:

The Sword of Susanoo

The Memory Search skill

1,000,000 Luck Points

John already had the Memory Search skill, but it had only reached level 10 after being used countless times in his previous life. Now, when he obtained it again, the system merged the two versions and raised it to level 30.

That was a huge leap in level.

When John first used Memory Search, he could glimpse key moments from the past, and its efficiency had increased many times after reaching level 10.What would happen now that it had reached level 30?

John didn't yet know the full effect, but he was certain it would become one of his most important skills — not only for this battle, but for every battle to come.

He began thinking about possible ways to fight White, Moon, and Tank.

Although he had only fought Kraken's subordinates before, their teamwork was flawless — unlike Zaghleth and Orwen, who constantly quarreled and only cooperated under Silver's orders.

Immediately, John activated his Absolute Thinking skill. He had only a day — maybe less.

The first obstacle was White's sonic attacks. The sound waves pierced through defensive magic as if it didn't exist, and elemental defense techniques couldn't block them effectively.

John came up with three possible solutions:

First: Improve his elemental defense technique.Blocking sonic waves with elemental defense wasn't impossible, but it required trial and error. He had already made some progress in the previous battle — his Ultimate Earth Defense and Ultimate Wind Defense blocked about 40% of the sonic power. Not a large percentage, but decent progress for a few minutes of combat. This method carried a risk of death, but John didn't fear dying — he just didn't want to die too many times.

Second: Acquire Sound-Blocking Magic. This wasn't easier or harder than the first option. John had access to the internet now, allowing him to study new magical theories.Unfortunately, none of the awakeners possessed sound-blocking skills — otherwise, he would have copied and practiced them already.Last time, he had only copied William's skill, which was useful to him — God of Thunder, a skill that increased lightning damage by 200%. John had modified it into God of Water, which had the same effect for water attacks.Normally, modifying skills was impossible, but John had developed that talent after two hundred years of elemental magic training. This method carried little risk but required an enormous amount of time.

Third: Obtain Spatial Magic. This was the hardest of all, but John already had some knowledge of it.His Seal of Heaven and Earth skill was derived from merging all elemental magics into a single battlefield spell. But he couldn't use it against White because of the dragon's gigantic size.If he wanted to, he would need at least five minutes of focus to activate it — time he didn't have.If possible, he could have modified that battlefield spell into a sound-blocking field.

After some time, John decided to improve his elemental defense technique. It had the highest success rate among the three options, and he had already achieved partial results before.

He then began tackling his second problem — three enemies versus one.He couldn't fight all three simultaneously. He had no allies strong enough to help him, except Silver — but John needed Silver in Africa to handle the disaster there.

"If only I had multiple bodies… Wait, I do!"He immediately thought of the Asura Transformation skill.

The skill gave him two extra faces and four extra arms — if he could modify it to split his body into three separate forms, each one could handle at least one enemy.

John considered this idea and found it feasible, but it would also take time.Time — every plan he had required time!

"If only I had regressed to the first day, I could've finished modifying this skill by now, maybe even learned Spatial and Sound-Blocking Magic too…"He didn't know why he had regressed to this point instead.Maybe just his bad luck again.

Despite his success in the previous regression, John hadn't managed to return to his first day this time.

He kept his Absolute Thinking skill active for a full day, putting tremendous pressure on his mind — but he couldn't stop if he wanted even a chance in the next battle.

By the end, his elemental defense could now block about 70–80% of the sonic waves. Not complete immunity, but John was satisfied with the result after a full day of work.

He also made progress in modifying the Asura skill — now called Asura Division. Each clone retained 33% of his original stats. That reduced his overall power, but there was room for improvement — and John was content with that.

After completing his improvements, John went to Silver and asked for some of his scales.

"Are you kidding me?!" Silver roared in fury.Taking a dragon's scales was no small matter — but John was ready.

"Don't worry, I'll compensate you."He held out two mana stones — Zaghleth's and Orwen's.

Silver's face turned red with anger, but he had no choice except to give in.He handed John a few scales in exchange for the stones.

John then forged a legendary-grade spear and a legendary-grade shield, but his greatest success was his new sword —a mythic-grade weapon forged from Silver's scales.

The sword itself carried a legend — the tale of John's battle with Silver — and thus became a Mythic Weapon.

"Ding! You are the first human to craft a Mythic-Grade weapon!""As a reward, your Asura Division efficiency has increased."

The skill's power rose — each clone now possessed 50% of John's original strength.

"It seems the system doesn't care about my bad luck after all."John smiled lightly as he read the message.

"Ding! Mythic weapons must have a name. Name your weapon."

John paused for a moment, then said:"Sunblade."

The sword began to shine, transforming in appearance — its hilt turned golden with a blue core, and the blade gleamed pure white.

"It seems I'll have some fun in the next battle."John's eyes sparkled with anticipation.
