Hello there.
I go by the name of PrideOfAngel, and I know that is a very weird name, especially for an author—or should I say an inspiring author—to have. I'm sure you guys even have questions about this peculiar name of mine, and I would gladly explain it to you down the line in the future.
For now, I don't know if what I'm doing is even right or even allowed here. I just hope that I don't offend anyone, and if I do, please don't sue me—I'm broke as hell. But anyway, I decided to take a risk and actually write this with high hopes that maybe it may warm its way to your hearts. Please be assured this has no agenda of some sort, just a dream of a young writer.
This is for those who are kind enough to actually take this book and plan on reading it. I know it's kind of hard and risky to take something from an unknown author and plan to read it. After all, I won't lie to you guys—I don't have a resume, let alone a reference, but here I am.
I'm new here and I'm just starting out as an author, and I have to be honest about this. When you look at my profile out of curiosity, you'll see where I actually reside and come from, and I'm glad it's that because it makes it easier for me to be truthful and honest with you guys. My home language isn't actually English—heck, I did it as a subject during my school days.
What I really wanted to say was please don't feel insulted, or think that I'm disrespecting you or something when you try to pick up my book and read it and maybe find it dull, confusing, or worse—not up to your standards. I'm still learning as I go, and I know that by God's grace, as time progresses, I'll also progress into becoming a better writer. After all, as a writer, I have a dream to be successful and live out my dream, which I really hope isn't part of my mental illness—because I'm sure I have to go check for one.
This story is inspired by none other than the webnovel masterpiece Lord of Mysteries, but with my own tale and twist. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that my story is better than LOM—because it's not even close—but I just love the concept of how he managed to blend together my favourite genres: fantasy, mystery, and victorian-horror.
So I got inspired to test the waters out, and I'm not saying this book will be loved or become popular, but it's my first ever book that I'm really putting my heart and soul into. So I hope that you guys will enjoy it at least, and if you don't, that's okay too—I fully understand.
Before I get all emotional and stuff, let me wrap this up quickly. But one thing I can promise you if you give my story a chance is the wild adventure not only Paul Sacred will have but also you—as his supporter, follower, or maybe if you see yourself worth—as his inspiration or master.
You'll have laughter, especially if you have a really interesting mind and strange sense of humour. You'll cheer for him, and you'll cheer against him. It's going to be a wild ride, and my word is my bond.
So thank you in advance for those who'll read it, comment, review, collect, and even vote.
For those who tried to read it but weren't satisfied and decided to drop it, I won't blame you and I understand. So thank you for giving it a chance.
I'll try and update every day, apart from if I'm facing family problems, or sick.
When it comes to word count, I really have no idea how long it will be.
Thank you.
