Out in the middle of nowhere, where time and space seemed to coexist, not so far away from the planet, the galaxies, and the stars that were all circling one particular place — a castle; a castle so big that it was the only thing out there, that is, if the planets, galaxies, and the stars were excluded.
The castle looked more like the type of castle that existed in an era long forgotten. It was tall, and it didn't have any other parts of the castle with it — just the tall part. The one, if you think about it carefully, was used for surveillance to take down air threats, like dragons and so forth.
There was also a long bridge that connected from the bridge to seven wooden doors, which were all locked. Time circled around, and with each passing moment, everything was shifting. The planets were circling clockwise, but right after the clocks that were there to represent time hit every hour, the planets would change their circling and go anticlockwise.
Something was happening. When all of that was happening — the shift and change — it meant that the time of wherever that place was was either getting altered, reset, or even frozen.
The silence crept in. Space, in the middle of nowhere, and planets of all sizes were now slowing down, and their shift and change seemed to have been impacted by something because of the way things were getting.
The planets were now cracking up, showing signs of explosion. It was hard to tell how many planets were actually there because while others were showing signs of being affected by whatever was going on there, other planets were actually exploding.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The sound of waves that those explosions sent wasn't that devastating to space, but it did have an effect on it. The shake and tremor that the space suffered wasn't something one would expect.
That space was otherworldly beautiful. The stars shone bright, reflecting not only the beauty of the sun, but they sparkled and shimmered like jewels. The clouds were all forming, and they looked so beautiful with all the colors of the rainbow.
The seven wooden doors that were once all closed opened at the same time. No one came out at first; they only showed the hollow darkness and nothing else.
One by one, some kind of spirits flew out, all in different colors: white, yellow, red, blue, purple, indigo, and the last one, black. They all flew inside the castle and ended up at a round table, and all of them took their seats.
It was hard to make out who they were and how they looked because of the cloaks that they were wearing. All with hoodies on, their faces weren't easy to be shown — only masks that were black, showing no emotion; seriousness.
"Is it really happening now?" Yellow asked; her voice was low.
"How long has it been since the last time this happened?" Blue asked.
"I don't know, but it wasn't supposed to be this early. I thought we had more centuries," Red said.
They all looked at Black, and he just got up, turned to face where the window was supposed to be, and he just saw all of the devastation unfolding.
"Sometimes I forget that you lot are very young, and you actually don't know how all of this actually works. All of this happening — it's not because of who you know and are fearful of," Black had his hands behind his back.
"What do you mean by that, Black?" Purple asked as her hands began to tremble.
Black just hid his head around. "Do you all feel that?"
The other spirits didn't know what he was talking about; they all just looked at him in silence.
"What are you talking about?" Though their masks hid their facial expressions, when Red asked that question, he was worried.
"Why am I shaking?" Purple looked at her hands.
"What are you on about now, Purple?" Blue sounded like he was not in the mood for her drama.
"My hands are shaking, and I can't stop them from shaking," Purple showed them.
"How is that possible? You're a guardian, so this should be possible even for a useless guardian like you!" Blue didn't understand what he saw.
But Purple wasn't the only guardian who was experiencing and having that problem — it's just that when it came to Purple, she was the youngest of all the guardians, and a lot of things she didn't know and understand.
"I really don't know, but I'm trying; I'm really trying to stop them," Purple was now getting scared and uneasy.
Her hands were shaking like crazy; they looked like they were phasing rather than shaking. Slowly, all that uncontrollable shaking went through her whole body.
That's when things really took an interesting turn. Now she was phasing all over, and she wasn't having any sort of control. The effect she had there was contributing to the devastation that was already happening.
Planets that were aligned with her color — meaning that they were aligned with her soul — all of them just turned black; they were dying.
"Tell me what I'm feeling isn't real. Tell me, Black!" Yellow grabbed onto the table.
She was freaking out, and she was getting uneasy too. Though the mask she had didn't allow her to show what she was experiencing under it, the fact remained that her eyes were open wide, and her breathing was getting heavy.
"What are these two doing?!" Blue now was getting pissed.
"It's not only them," White finally pitched in.
"Huh, so you decided to speak after centuries of taking the vow of silence?" Blue turned to White.
"Stop with your stupidity; you are not fooling anyone with your tough demeanor!" White warned him. "For a second, can't you stop being yourself and notice what is actually going on around you?" she said.
"You know what, White — when it's you and that flamboyant guardian Purple, you really know how to tempt a guardian to really consider killing another guardian. Now, if you don't stop with your games and tell me what the hell you are on about, you'll save both of us some time and sanity," Blue was not having it.
"What happened to Red and Indigo?" Purple asked as she was still phasing.
That's when Blue decided to stop whatever he was doing and looked at where Indigo and Red were supposed to be sitting.
"Where are they?" he asked.
"They are gone," White replied to him calmly.
"What do you mean they are gone? How is that possible?!" Blue didn't understand what the hell was going on.
"That is what I was trying to tell you. The cause of this is not because of who you are suspecting," Black was serious.
"Then if it's not him, then who is it?" Blue asked.
"It's the one — even the one we are afraid of is afraid of," Black continued.
"The one who he is afraid of? Wait, you don't mean—" Purple was finding this hard to believe.
"But I thought he was nothing but a myth that every guardian knew," Blue was really having a hard time.
"Then the question now is: when should we expect him?" Black continued to watch, not only Purple's planets dying but also Indigo and Red's planets ceasing to exist.
"He's coming very soon," White assured them.
