Emiya looked at the two women and rolled his eyes, then flew them both up.
"Since you've had your fun, let's go save Nami."
Shizuka waved her hand. "Let's go!"
The group sped off, heading for their next destination.
According to Nojiko, Nami had originally taken the broken and defenseless Arlong to claim the bounty.
To avoid Captain Nezumi, she had deliberately chosen a more distant Marine base.
The Marine 153rd Branch.
This branch was at least one or two days' journey away from the Sixteenth Branch.
They thought they would be safe at this branch, but who would have thought that Nami would have such bad luck and run into Captain Nezumi, who was visiting?
And then the commander of this branch believed Captain Nezumi's slander and immediately detained Nami.
To be honest, the number 153 felt very familiar to Emiya. He thought about it for a long time and finally remembered.
The Marine 153rd Branch! The commander here was none other than Axe-Hand Morgan!
This was a remarkable person.
In his youth, Morgan was a hot-blooded new recruit. But during one mission, the entire crew of his ship was killed by "Hundred-Claw" Kuro, and Morgan's jaw was shattered.
Kuro's subordinate, Jango, hypnotized him, making him believe he had captured Kuro.
He handed over the fake Kuro to the Marines and, as a result, became a lieutenant in the Marine 153rd Branch.
However, Jango's hypnosis also changed his personality.
From then on, the once hot-blooded new recruit became an arrogant, apathetic, and cruel person.
Through his own efforts, he eventually became a captain
of the 153rd Branch and its de facto ruler, starting a life of oppressing the people.
Many Marines and villagers lived in fear of Morgan. It wasn't until a year later that he would be defeated by Luffy.
After Morgan's downfall, he was to be escorted by Marine Vice Admiral Garp, but Morgan was unwilling to surrender. He injured Garp, stole a ship, and successfully escaped.
That was quite impressive.
Garp was Luffy's grandfather, Dragon's father, and a hero of the Marines. He had once teamed up with the Pirate King Roger to defeat the Rocks Pirates more than thirty years ago.
The Rocks Pirates had been the dominant force on the seas decades ago. Their fame and power were
astonishing.
Even the World Government considered them a huge threat. Not to mention that three of the Four Emperors currently dominating the New World were once members of the Rocks Pirates.
Even the "Golden Lion," who was hailed as a legend alongside the Pirate King Roger, was once a member.
This showed just how formidable Rocks was.
But this formidable pirate crew was still defeated by Garp and Roger and became a part of history.
This showed just how powerful Garp was, and yet, even he was injured by Morgan.
The fact that Morgan could injure Garp was enough to prove that Morgan was a powerful Marine who could rival a Four Emperor.
His strength was world-shattering, and it was a shame for him to be cooped up in a small 153rd Branch.
If the World Government knew that they had such a master among the Marines, they would definitely suspect that Morgan had some kind of huge secret or background.
But to Emiya, this was probably a trick by Morgan.
A person who could rival a Four Emperor, a master who could shake the world, cooped up in a small branch, acting as a captain, must have a shocking conspiracy.
And once this conspiracy was exposed, it would definitely shock the world and might even shake the World Government's rule. Emiya, who had seen the original story, was well aware of this so-called secret...
Alright, Emiya admitted that he couldn't come up with a good story.
He flew with Shizuka and Nojiko and quickly arrived at the Marine 153rd Branch.
Shells Town.
From the outside, it looked like an ordinary small town with nothing special about it, perhaps a little more prosperous, but far from Loguetown.
But in reality, both the Marines and the residents lived under Morgan's tyrannical rule. They were terrified of even mentioning his name.
When the three of them arrived, descending from the sky, they landed in the central plaza of the Marine 153rd Branch, immediately attracting the attention of a large group of Marines.
The Marines, who were in the middle of training, saw Emiya descend from the sky, and their faces changed instantly.
As Marines, they were no strangers to Devil Fruit users.
But in a place like the East Blue, there were very few people with Devil Fruit abilities. To these ordinary Marines, such a person was invincible.
But even so, the Marines didn't run away. Instead, they bravely surrounded Emiya.
"Who are you people, and why are you breaking into our Marine base?" a square-faced Marine bravely asked Emiya.
Emiya calmly said, "A short time ago, a girl named Nami brought Arlong here to claim his bounty, but your Captain Morgan didn't give her the money. Instead, he detained Nami. I am here for that girl."
The square-faced Marine's scalp tingled, but he couldn't help but say, "That girl is an accomplice of the Arlong Pirates. She's a pirate, and we Marines have the right to detain any pirate."
"But she didn't join the Arlong Pirates voluntarily," Emiya said amicably.
"That... we need to investigate." The square-faced Marine was in a difficult position and didn't dare to give a definitive answer.
Emiya shook his head and said, "I don't need you to investigate. I just need you to hand her over to me."
"No... that's not possible!" The square-faced Marine hesitated for a moment and finally refused. "We can't just hand over a pirate to you based on your say-so."
Emiya couldn't help but smile and said, "To be honest, I don't dislike Marines. Although there are indeed a lot of bad people among the Marines, there are still many who are willing to fight for justice."
The square-faced Marine was relieved. "Thank you for the compliment, sir."
Emiya continued, "Although I don't dislike the Marines and I understand your predicament, I must take Nami today. How about you do me a favor today and let me take Nami with me?"
Before the square-faced Marine could reply, a voice came from behind them.
"Who is so brazen as to try to take a pirate?"
Hearing this voice, the square-faced Marine's face changed. It was a mix of sullenness and fear. The Marines who had surrounded Emiya parted in the middle, and a tall, burly man walked out of the crowd.
"Is it you who wants to take a pirate?"
The man was tall and burly, with a metal jaw that had a Marine insignia etched on it. A sharp axe was embedded in his right arm. This familiar look belonged to the captain of the Marine 153rd Branch.
The man who would one day injure Garp.
Morgan.
Emiya saw clearly that after Morgan appeared, the surrounding Marines didn't feel relieved. Instead, their faces became sullen, and there was a hint of fear. Many of them were trembling.
It was clear that this Captain Morgan was not popular.
He ruled this branch through fear.
But he himself had no such awareness. Instead, he looked down at Emiya's group. "You dare to be so presumptuous in my territory. It seems you are also that woman's accomplices. Now, surrender, and I can let you..."
"Get lost!"
Emiya had nothing to say to this kind of person. Before Morgan could finish, he shouted at him.
There was a muffled bang.
Morgan was as if he had been hit head-on by an out-of-control train.
He flew dozens of meters and, with a series of crashes, smashed through one building after another, finally embedding himself in a wall, his head lolling.
He was instantly unconscious.
The surrounding Marines' eyes nearly popped out of their heads when they saw this.
Emiya smiled and said, "Now, can you give me Nami?"
The Marines' faces were pale. Even their captain was no match for Emiya, so they were even more powerless.
The square-faced Marine gritted his teeth and stepped forward. "Don't hurt them. I'll take you to the girl."
"Thank you."
"Follow me," the Marine said, turning around. He led Emiya's group into the main building of the branch and to the prison, where they saw Nami sitting on a bed, curled up and hugging her knees, looking dazed.
"Nami!" Nojiko rushed to the bars of the cell when she saw her sister.
Nami, who was in a daze, looked up when she heard someone call her sister. She was stunned. "Nojiko, Emiya, Shizuka, am I... am I dreaming?"
Emiya's telekinetic hand flew out, pulling the steel prison bars apart. "Come out, Nami."
Nami walked out of the cell and hugged Nojiko.
"This is great, Nojiko. I thought I'd never see you again."
When she was captured, she thought she was a goner. She
thought of a lot of things, and the thing she regretted the most was not saying goodbye to Nojiko.
"It's so good that you're okay, Nami," Nojiko held her sister tightly, tears welling up in her eyes.
Emiya looked at the square-faced Marine, pushed on a wall, and a door appeared. Behind the door was Nami's house.
"Let's go. This is not the place to talk. We can go back and talk."
Nami and Nojiko looked at each other and nodded, then walked through the door and returned home.
Shizuka followed closely.
Before Emiya was the last to walk through, he turned to the square-faced Marine and said, "Remember to report your superior's behavior to the Marines. That guy doesn't deserve to be called a Marine."
With that, he walked in without waiting for a response, and the door closed.
The wall-door disappeared, leaving no trace, only a confused Marine.
