“She was his Luna, his strength, his heart… until he broke his oath. Now, she will rise as the Alpha’s greatest regret.” Betrayed under the blood-red moon, Aurora’s world shatters when her mate—Alpha Ronan—publicly rejects her, breaking the sacred oath that bound them. Once his Luna, once his strength, she is cast aside as if she were nothing. But what Ronan doesn’t know is that Aurora carries his child… and the fire of a Luna who refuses to be erased. Banished and hunted, Aurora vows to rise from the ashes of heartbreak. Her golden eyes burn with defiance, her heart beats with vengeance, and her soul whispers of a destiny greater than betrayal. The Alpha may have broken their bond, but fate is not so easily denied. When Aurora and Ronan’s paths collide again, sparks of desire and fury ignite. Chapter 1 - The Breaking of Bonds

The crimson moon hung above Blackthorn Hall, casting its blood-red glow through the tall glass windows. Shadows stretched across the stone walls, long and sharp like claws, as though the night itself knew what was about to happen.

Aurora stood in the center of the hall, the eyes of the entire pack burning into her. Her heartbeat pounded against her ribs, each thud loud enough to drown out the silence that suffocated the air. She clutched her trembling hands together, willing herself not to break—not here, not in front of them.

And then his voice came.

Alpha Ronan.

Cold. Commanding. Absolute.

"You are no longer my mate. From this moment, the bond between us is severed."

The words cut through her like jagged steel, sharp and final.

Aurora felt her chest constrict as though an invisible chain had been wrenched from her heart, leaving behind an empty, bleeding wound. Her breath caught, and for a moment, she thought she would collapse. But no—she would not give them that satisfaction. She forced her spine straight, her chin lifting despite the tears that stung her golden eyes.

A gasp rippled through the gathered wolves, their whispers hissing like venom.

The Alpha rejected her…

The Luna is cast aside…

What shame… what weakness…

Aurora's gaze snapped to Ronan, her mate—no, her former mate—the man she had once trusted with her soul. His obsidian eyes, cold as stone, met hers without a flicker of remorse. His tall, broad frame towered in authority, his dark hair falling loosely over his forehead as though not even the moonlight dared to touch him.

"Why, Ronan?" she whispered, her voice trembling but steady enough to carry through the hall. "After everything… after every sacrifice I made for you, for this pack… why?"

For the first time, something flickered in his eyes. Pain? Regret? She couldn't be sure, because just as quickly, it was gone.

"You've failed me, Aurora," he said, his tone unyielding, like the snap of a blade. "A Luna who cannot protect her pack, who cannot give me the strength I need, has no place at my side."

His words echoed through the vast chamber, bouncing against the stone walls, searing into her flesh like fire.

Her heart clenched. He didn't know—he hadn't even asked.

He didn't know about the fragile heartbeat inside her, their child, the life that fluttered within her womb like the faintest spark of hope. If he had, would he still have said these words? Or would it have made no difference?

Her breath came ragged, but she forced herself to meet his gaze, her golden eyes glowing faintly with the power of her Luna blood. "One day, Ronan," she said, her voice low but resonant, carrying with it the weight of her pain, "this oath you break will come back to haunt you. And when it does… you will regret the day you cast me aside."

A silence fell. The pack held their breath.

And for a fleeting second, the Alpha faltered. His jaw tightened, his shoulders shifted as though he were restraining himself. In his obsidian eyes, she thought she saw it—regret, raw and unhidden.

But then it was gone, buried under steel and shadows.

"Take her away," Ronan commanded, his voice once again hard, final.

The pack moved as one. Wolves shifted forward, their eyes lowered in obedience to their Alpha, claws gleaming in the dim light. They came for her as though she were nothing but a trespasser in the home she had built beside him.

Aurora's stomach twisted, but she would not let them see her break. Not here, not now. She was a Luna. She had been chosen by the moon itself, and no rejection, no betrayal, no Alpha could strip that from her.

She straightened, her bloodied palms clenched at her sides. "You may cast me out, Ronan," she said, her voice firm, echoing through the chamber, "but you will never erase me. I will rise again. And when I do, the world will know that it was your broken oath that created me."

The words sent a shiver through the room. Some wolves dared to glance at their Alpha, wondering if he would strike her down for her defiance.

But Ronan only stood there, rigid, his expression unreadable.

The guards seized her arms. Their grips were iron, dragging her toward the grand doors that led into the storm outside. Her bare feet scraped against the cold stone, her body weak, but her spirit unbroken.

As the doors opened, the icy wind rushed in, carrying the scent of rain and lightning. Aurora's golden eyes lingered on Ronan one last time.

She had loved him once. With every part of her soul.

And tonight, that love had been buried beneath betrayal.

The crimson moonlight washed over her as the doors closed behind, sealing her fate.

Aurora was no longer Luna of Blackthorn Pack.

But she was far from defeated.

The Alpha's broken oath was not her end.

It was her beginning.
