Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 — Dark valley

The void trembled.Cold winds whispered across the broken floor of the dimension, where nothing existed except endless darkness. The air twisted and folded like it was alive. Out of that silence, a sound echoed — the sound of a low, deep laugh.

Nijack stood there, his eyes glowing like dying stars. "Two against one?" he said, stretching his hand. "How amusing."

Klein stepped forward beside Oban, his boots scraping against the cracked surface. "We're not here to amuse you."

Oban smirked, pulling up his system interface with a flick of his hand. "We're here to end this."

Nijack grinned wider, and the darkness behind him began to move. The air thickened, the ground cracked open, and shadows poured out like liquid smoke — forming blades, spears, and shapes of soldiers. Hundreds, no — thousands of void creatures rose, each one having the same cold empty eyes.

"This dimension belongs to me," Nijack said softly. "Every inch of shadow answers my call."

He lifted his hand, and the army screamed — charging forward like a storm.

The Battle Begins

Oban's system glowed bright red.

Oban's fangs flashed in the dim light as he unsheathed his blood-hued sword. "Heh, it's been a while since I went all out."

Beside him, Klein reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black knife. The moment he gripped it, white glowing runes crawled up the blade like fire. The knife stretched, twisted, and split — becoming a dual-bladed sword, humming with bright soul energy.

Nijack's eyes widened for a brief second. "That weapon… it reacts to your soul?"

Klein spun the blade once, his expression cold. "You'll find out soon."

The Army of Shadows

The shadow army swarmed them from every direction — hundreds of creatures moving like a tidal wave.

Oban lunged first. His enchanted blade sliced through the air, leaving trails of crimson light. Every swing cut through multiple shadows at once, their bodies dissolving into smoke. He moved fast, teleporting short distances, carving a bloody path through the darkness.

Klein joined him, spinning between the waves of enemies. His dual sword moved with precision — every strike glowing blue as Soul energy burst outward. The shadows burned away wherever he stepped, his movements clean and sharp.

Nijack stood at a distance, smiling. "Let's see how long you last."

Klein dashed forward, slicing two soldiers in half. "Oban!"

"Already on it!" Oban shouted. His system flashed again.

[SYSTEM: Bonus Points Acquired – 2,500 EXP.][SYSTEM: Stat Upgrade Available.][Upgrading Strength + Speed + Focus.]

A pulse of crimson energy exploded around him. Oban's eyes glowed, and his speed tripled instantly. In one second, he was gone from sight — and in the next, he was cutting through ten shadows at once.

Klein's blade met Oban's energy trail midair — blue and red flashing together, erasing the entire shadow army in seconds.

Dust settled. Only one figure remained.

Nijack.

Clash with Nijack

He raised his hand again, and a black spear formed from the void. The blade shimmered like glass soaked in ink. "Impressive," Nijack said. "But that was just a warm-up."

He threw the spear.

Klein deflected it mid-air — but the moment their blades met, the impact cracked the space around them. A black shockwave erupted, throwing both Oban and Klein backward. Klein landed, sliding on one knee, gripping his sword tighter.

Nijack appeared in front of him in an instant. "You're strong… I can feel it. Your power is close to those elder's… but not quite the same."

Before Klein could react, Nijack's palm slammed into his chest — the force sent him flying through several floating rocks. His body crashed and rolled.

Nijack vanished and reappeared again, ready to hit him a second time—

—but Oban appeared out of nowhere, grabbing Klein and teleporting away in a flash of red light.

[SYSTEM: Teleportation Used. Attempts Left: 9.][Note: Teleportation Switch Enabled – Can Exchange Position with Ally or Enemy.]

Oban grinned. "Got you, partner."

Klein caught his breath, holding his chest. "Nice timing."

"Listen," Oban said quickly. "I've got a plan."

The Teleport Switch

Nijack appeared again, scanning the empty air. "Running already?"

Suddenly, Klein reappeared right in front of him — his sword glowing bright. Nijack smirked. "Predictable."

He swung, but—

Oban's voice echoed. "Switch!"

A flash of red light blinked, and Klein's body vanished — replaced by Oban's.

Nijack's strike landed, but it hit Oban's vampric blade instead, sending sparks flying.

"What—?!" Nijack hissed.

"Surprise," Oban grinned, his fangs showing.

Another switch.Klein appeared behind Nijack this time, swinging both blades downward. Nijack barely turned in time, but one of the strikes sliced through his arm, spilling black smoke instead of blood.

They switched again — faster, unpredictable. One moment Klein attacked from above, the next Oban was in his place. Nijack tried to read their movement, but the teleportation switches kept confusing his senses. His shadow eyes couldn't track their exact presence anymore.

Slash — slash — impact — flash.Every second, he was struck from a new direction.

"Enough!" Nijack roared.

He slammed his hands on the ground — and everything turned black.

The Monster of the Void

The entire dimension started to twist. From the cracks of space, something enormous began to crawl out — a massive creature, made of pure void energy. Its eyes glowed white, its mouth stretching endlessly.

Oban and Klein stepped back.

"What the hell is that?!" Oban shouted.

Nijack raised his arms proudly. "Not a monster," he said with a grin. "Just… a puppet."

The creature roared, shaking the entire void. Its shadow claws slammed against the ground, shattering it.

Klein's eyes narrowed. "Oban… some vampires have control over the void, like Knull. This thing… it's not alive."

"Doesn't matter what it is," Oban said, gripping his blade. "It's still huge!"

The monster lunged forward, the entire sky shaking. Klein pushed Oban aside and shouted, "Let me handle this one!"

"What?! Alone—"

"Go deal with Nijack. I'll hold the puppet off."

Oban hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Fine. Don't die."

Klein smirked slightly. "Not my plan."

Split Battle

Klein charged straight at the void monster, his dual swords glowing like twin suns in the darkness. The creature's claws came down like meteors — but Klein spun between them, slicing tendons of shadow, cutting through its legs. The air burst with energy as each hit landed.

Every slash burned through the void energy. The monster howled, swinging wildly. Klein leaped off its arm, landing on its head, driving both blades straight down. The explosion of blue Soul energy lit up the entire sky.

Meanwhile, Oban reappeared in front of Nijack.

Their blades clashed — darkness versus crimson fire. The ground cracked beneath their feet, the sound echoing across the dimension.

Nijack smiled, his aura flaring again. "You really think you can win alone?"

Oban bared his fangs, eyes glowing red. "Who said I'm alone?"

End Scene – Another World

Far away, in another battlefield, Yuji groaned as a healing mage tended to his wounds. Light circles spun around his body, slowly closing deep cuts.

Nearby stood Allisa, her vampire army surrounding the field — silent, waiting. The sky was red, and the wind carried the scent of smoke.

Yuji glanced at her. "So… is it over? The war?"

Allisa looked distant, her eyes fixed on the horizon. "I don't know. Everything went silent after the void opened."

A faint chime rang in her ear — a system message.

[📩 Message from Aijack: "Stop the war. Bring Oban and Klein. Something's wrong."]

Allisa frowned. "They're not here… they're still in that dimension."

[Aijack: "Then something's gone wrong there. I'll handle things from the castle. Just regroup."]

She stared into the dark sky, the wind brushing her hair. "Something wrong…" she whispered.

The camera panned upward — the void above the world flickered faintly, like a tear in reality.

And then… everything went silent
