Chapter 11 - Hello Again Dragon Of Rebirth.

Nate was in that void once again, the void where he got reincarnated into, he looked up to see the Dragon of Rebirth looking at him, as he darkened his team.

The Dragon of Rebirth just looked at him as he grinned. "So how is your reincarnation going, buddy?".

Nate rolled his eyes at that as he spoke. "You already know, so why did you call me here?"

The Dragon of Rebirth chuckled as he spoke. "Well, to explain how reincarnation actually works, why, because well, some of the souls I reincarnate start an identity crisis".

Nate nodded his head. He spoke. "Make sense so explain".

Dragon of Rebirth moved his wings as he spoke. "Reincarnation is less of your soul moving on into taking over a different body, because that can't happen, after all, all souls are connected with the Main one, from Universe Prime".

Nate raised an eyebrow at that as he spoke. "So, what do you call it?".

The dragon of Rebirth laughed a bit as he spoke. "Kid, even though this is reincarnation, and it should be viewed like that, it's more of you unlocking the memories of your past life".

"So, would I be like this, without my memories?"

"Yes, Nate would have been like this, just not snarky and more kid-like, like his actual age".

Nate crossed his arms, looking up at the massive dragon. "So, basically… I'm just me, but with DLC memories from a past life?"

The Dragon of Rebirth let out a laugh that shook the void. "Pfft—yeah, that's one way to put it. You're still Nate Adams, son of Lily. You just have… a patch installed. The knowledge, instincts, and quirks of your old life bleed into who you are now."

Nate frowned. "So, I'm not overwriting someone else, but… I'm also not just me. Great, that makes me feel a whole lot better."

"Don't overthink it," the dragon rumbled, his massive eye lowering until it filled Nate's view. "You're not two people fighting for control. You're one soul with more doors open than most. That's what reincarnation is in truth—continuity, not replacement."

Nate rubbed the back of his neck, processing. "And here I thought I'd be some edgy protagonist with an identity crisis. Guess I'll save myself the drama."

The dragon's grin widened. "Exactly. That's why I pulled you here. Some reincarnates spiral, think they're imposters or puppets. You? You're balanced. That makes you dangerous in the right ways."

Nate raised an eyebrow. "Dangerous, huh? You make it sound like I'm supposed to shake the world."

"Kid…" the dragon leaned back, wings folding like a mountain range collapsing. "You already are. Just by being alive, you've shifted the threads of fate. And trust me—certain gods are paying attention."

Nate froze, his usual smirk faltering. "…Which ones?"

The dragon just chuckled, his voice echoing across the void. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

Before Nate could snap back, the void began to crackle, pulling him back toward reality. The dragon's final words boomed behind him:

"Remember, you're not here to copy anyone's path. You're here to write your own."

Nate then woke up, as he was lying on his bed, he was now 15, during does 2 years in between, he had been a few more things

For example, he was now an SS rank in terms of Yo-kai, both Hailey and Fumika can be B Rank and Kunou is the same rank as him, which made him and Kunou High Class and Hailey and Fumika Middle Class.

They didn't have the years of Seer training that Nate did. During that time, he managed to recreate The Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, which Toadal Dude was impressed by, and a few other Yokai as well.

Now they thought he was Prodigy in Martel art's, while Nate just hoped there wasn't a Copyright Strike in the Multiverse.

Nate stirred, blinking himself awake as the morning light filtered through the curtains. For a moment, he didn't move — partly because he was groggy, but mostly because he realized he was trapped.

Again.

His bed, expanded through Spirit Bond so it could even hold this chaos, had become a battlefield of blankets and limbs. Fumika was wrapped snugly around his right arm like it was a lifeline. Kunou clung to his left, tails twitching faintly in her sleep. Hailey and Kuroka were sprawled across his chest, their breathing soft and even. Frostina had glued herself to his side, still icy to the touch even in dreams, while Insomni clung like a pillow thief who refused to let go.

To say it was cozy would be one way to put it. To say his teenage hormones were screaming bloody murder at him… would be another.

Nate sighed in his head. 'Yup. Puberty: Round Two. And here I thought reincarnation would let me skip this part. Figures.'

Before he could wriggle free, a soft voice cut through the quiet.

"Good morning, Nate~."

He tilted his head and found golden eyes blinking up at him. Kunou had stirred first, her fluffy ears twitching as she smiled at him.

Now, most of the world still thought of Kunou as the shy little fox girl she pretended to be — an innocent eleven-year-old with six tails, clinging close to her mother. But here, in the safety of his room, she dropped the mask. This was her true form: fifteen, like him. Her hair cascaded longer, her face matured with graceful sharpness, her ears more prominent. And though she was still growing, her figure was already showing the hints of her mother's divine beauty.

Nate couldn't help but notice it. Not because he wanted to — but because, well, puberty was evil.

Kunou leaned closer, her warmth brushing against him. He managed a sleepy smile. "Morning, fluffball."

She pouted softly at the nickname, but didn't pull away. Instead, she pressed closer… and before Nate could say anything else, she kissed him.

It wasn't their first. Far from it. But somehow, every time it happened, it still caught him off guard. Her lips were soft, sweet like spun sugar, with a warmth that sank straight into his chest. For a brief second, he understood why people wrote poetry about first loves, why they swore to marry the person who made them feel this way.

When she finally pulled back, tails flicking behind her, Kunou whispered almost shyly:

"I wanted to be the first face you saw today."

Nate blinked at her, his dry wit catching up with him a second too late. "…You do realize you nearly gave me a heart attack, right?"

Kunou giggled, hiding her face against his shoulder, tails curling around them both.

Of course, the moment didn't last.

From his other side, Fumika cracked one eye open, spotting them instantly. Her lips thinned into the faintest pout. "…Not fair."

Hailey groaned, half-asleep but already muttering. "You guys seriously… start this crap before breakfast…?"

Kuroka purred on his chest, eyes still shut, but her smirk said everything. "Mmm, sounds like my little king is in trouble~."

Nate, trapped under five girls and an avalanche of tails, could only sigh. "Yep. Definitely doomed."

Nate woke up as the girls slowly stirred beside him. Each gave him a soft kiss before slipping out of his room to wash their faces. He stretched, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, before dragging himself toward the washroom.

Staring at the mirror, he had to admit—he looked different from the kid who first got reincarnated here. His face had sharpened, not the "average middle schooler" look anymore, but something more mature, almost above average. He traced the faint line of his jaw and then shifted his gaze downward. Lean muscle, defined abs, a wiry but strong frame—exactly the build he needed for mastering the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist.

He smirked proudly… until his eyes caught on something on his neck. A bright red hickey. He sighed. Definitely Kuroka.

After cleaning up, Nate threw on a shirt and pants, ran a hand through his hair, and headed downstairs.

The girls were already waiting in the living room, chatting softly. In the kitchen, Lily was cooking with surprising efficiency. Usapyon clattered around with utensils, Komajiro was trying to set the table, and Whisper was dramatically "supervising."

Without even turning her head, Lily spoke in that perfect deadpan tone only a mother could pull off.

"So… how was your sleep with the harem, son?"

Nate groaned, rolling his eyes. "Great."

He wanted to say "good," but he knew that would just earn him glares from his girlfriends. Better to stick with something safer.

Now, any normal parent would have freaked out by now—seeing their fifteen-year-old son in a cuddle pile with multiple girls. But Nate's family was anything but normal.

Lily was still a Seer, steeped in both the Yo-kai world and the supernatural. And his dad, Aaron? He'd just laughed when he found out. Apparently, he'd been a bit of a lady's man back in high school.

That explained a lot about Nate's own situation.

And then there was the fact that Nate wasn't just anyone—he was the Yo-kai King. The only people with real authority to put Nate in check were Lily and Lady Yasaka. Neither of them seemed interested in stopping him, though. If anything, they enjoyed teasing him about it far too much

Lily set a plate down in front of Nate and folded her arms, watching him carefully.

"So, Nate, since your finals are over, I was thinking about which high—"

Nate immediately cut her off, raising a hand. "No, Mom. I am not going to Kuoh Academy."

Her brows arched. "Again—why?"

"Again—I have my reasons, Mother." His tone was firm, just enough to show he wasn't joking.

Lily sighed, tapping her finger on the table like she always did when she was unconvinced. "It's just a few devils there. How bad could it be?"

Nate muttered inwardly, 'mom, ifyou hadmy metaknowledge, you'd barricade meinkyotoyourself'.

Out loud, he simply leaned back in his chair and said, "I don't want to leave Kyoto."

The room was quiet for a moment. The girls glanced between them—Kunou tilting her head curiously, Kuroka smirking as if she knew more, and Fumika whispering to Hailey about "what the big deal was."

Finally, Lily let out a long sigh, but her eyes softened as she slid into the chair across from him. "You do realize your ceremony for the Yo-kai King title happens next year, right?"

Nate nodded. "I know."

"Then understand this isn't just about school. You'll be carrying a kingdom on your shoulders. Devils, angels, fallen—they'll all be watching. Every choice you make from now on sets the tone for how you'll rule."

Nate stayed silent, chewing on that. He already knew from the canon just how much of a spotlight Kuoh really was. Too much drama, too much risk, too many flags. Staying in Kyoto wasn't just stubbornness—it was strategy.

But Lily wasn't wrong either.

Before he could respond, Kuroka stretched lazily, her tail flicking. "Mou~, don't be so hard on him, nya. If King-chan doesn't wanna go, he doesn't wanna go. Besides—Kyoto's more fun."

Kunou nodded quickly, cheeks a little red. "I-I agree! Kyoto is safer, and we can stay together."

Lily just gave Nate that look again, the one that said she wasn't done with this conversation.

Lily leaned her chin on her hand, giving him a sly smile.

"Come on, Nate, Kuoh won't be that bad. You'll get to meet your Sera-chan's sister, and who knows—maybe even more cute girls."

Nate gave her a flat stare, deadpan. "Pass. I mostly like Yo-kai girls and a few humans. I've been surrounded by Yo-kai most of my life."

There was a short silence, broken only by Kuroka's quiet chuckle and Kunou's twitching ears.

Lily exhaled loudly, rubbing her forehead. "Which is kinda my fault."

Nate smirked faintly. "Glad you admit it."

"Don't push your luck," she shot back, pointing a spatula at him before turning back to the stove. "It's not like I planned for you to end up with an entire menagerie of foxes, cats, and whatever else you've got attached to you."

"Oi!" Usapyon squeaked indignantly from the counter.

Fumika giggled into her sleeve while Hailey whispered, "She's not wrong though."

Nate shrugged, leaning back in his chair, looking far too comfortable with the chaos. "Hey, what can I say? Yo-kai girls just… have better tails."

Kuroka purred smugly, wrapping her tail around his arm, while Kunou's face went red as she tried not to meet nate's eyes.

Lily groaned, muttering under her breath. "Great… I've raised a flirt who thinks he's clever."

Aaron's voice suddenly called from the other room, clearly amused. "That's my boy!"

"Don't encourage him!" Lily shouted back, though the smile tugging at her lips betrayed her.
