Third person point of view
Yoshi came up to them and smiled when he saw Junkyu. " Hey ". " Hello ". Junkyu greeted him back. " Was everything fine yesterday ? " Junkyu nodded. " Yep ". " Ah right ". Jihoon said and Junkyu turned to him. " We were talking after you left and realized you both work in the same company ". Junkyu nodded.
" We are ". " You should treat him for a meal or something as a thank you then ". Yoshi suggested, putting some tissues in a box. Junkyu's eyes went wide and he shook his head. How dare he ask his superior for dinner ? " Why ? " Jihoon narrowed his eyes. " Did you do something yesterday ? " Junkyu was shocked.
" NO ! " Jihoon found it even more suspicious. " Something is not right ". Junkyu felt troubled and decided to explain. " It is not that. He is above me in the office. How can I ask him about dinner ? " They both finally understood. Yoshi shrugged. " I don't think he would mind though. He is not that type of guy. You should try asking at least ".
Junkyu nodded. He still probably won't. Not like they will meet each other or anything. He spent some time with them and walked out. He looked around and decided he might as well have dinner before going home. He changed his direction to one of his favorite restaurants. It was a small restaurant which was nearby.
He walked a few steps and heard a car honk when he passed by a parked car on the side. He stopped and turned in the direction. He noticed a man get out of the car. It was Haruto. His eyes went wide in shock. " Hello ". He gave a bow. Haruto also greeted him back. " Hello. You seem to be going somewhere ". Junkyu nodded.
He remembered what Yoshi suggested. Haruto really did help a lot and it wouldn't hurt to ask him. Whatever the result was fine. He wouldn't mind it. So he asked Haruto. " I was going to have dinner. Sir... Do you mind joining me ? " Junkyu did feel he would be even for the breakfast too from that morning if he treated Haruto.
Haruto was a little surprised. He thought about it for a second and nodded. " Sure ". Junkyu smiled. Haruto showed the car with his chin. " Please get in and show me the way ". Junkyu nodded. He got in the passenger seat and Haruto also got in. He gave directions to Haruto and Haruto drove them there.
They parked nearby and got out of the car after parking. Both of them walked inside. They sat at a table and Junkyu put his bag aside. " Please don't mind it. It is not really a high standard one ". Haruto smiled. " It is fine. I don't mind at all ". Junkyu also smiled. Looked like Jihoon and Yoshi were right about Haruto.
" The food here is really tasty though ". Haruto nodded. Junkyu picked up the menu and told all the best ones to Haruto. Haruto listened attentively. He gave a nod. The waiter came to take their order. Haruto gave the menu back to Junkyu. " I will trust Junkyu-ssi. Go ahead and order it ". Junkyu was surprised.
" Really ? " " I am not picky about food. So it is fine ". " Do you have any preferences ? " " Not really. I can eat everything ". Junkyu nodded and ordered the dishes he thought were the best. The waiter noted it down and left. They grew silent after ordering. Junkyu felt a little awkward. Haruto was also starting to feel the change in the atmosphere.
He decided to speak to smooth the atmosphere a bit. " Did Junkyu-ssi go to meet friends ? " They were in the area after all. Junkyu understood and nodded. " Yes. I forgot to contact them this morning. So I went to them since I had some time ". Haruto nodded. " It is fascinating how we both were regulars there but never met ".
Junkyu said and both of them chuckled. Haruto also couldn't help agreeing. " True. It is fascinating ". Their orders were served. Haruto nodded looking at them. They looked delicious. " Please taste it ". Junkyu said and let Haruto eat first. Haruto picked up his chopsticks. He took a bite and his eyes went wide.
Junkyu was indeed right. The food tasted better than he expected. " It is very delicious ". Junkyu gave a happy grin. " Right ". Haruto chewed and stared at Junkyu's beaming face without realizing. He quickly averted his eyes when Junkyu looked up. Junkyu also picked up his chopsticks and took a bite.
" Please taste the other one too ". Haruto smiled and did. Both of them finished the meal and asked for the bill. The waiter brought it and Junkyu gave his card. " Let me pay ". Haruto said but Junkyu stopped him. " I wanted to treat you for your help. So it is fine. Please let me do it ". Haruto looked conflicted.
" Please sir ". He saw Junkyu's pleading expression and gave in. Haruto put his wallet away. Junkyu gave another grin. They were done and walked out. They stood near Haruto's car. " Do you want me to drop you ? " Junkyu shook his head. " It is a little far from yours. So it is fine ". Haruto nodded.
" Alright then. Go back safely ". Junkyu gave a bow. Haruto also did. " Drive safe ". Junkyu said and walked to the bus stop. Haruto watched him for a few seconds and then got in the car. He started the car and drove in the opposite direction. Haruto parked his car and went up to his house. He sat down on the couch and let out a sigh.
He stayed there for a while before getting up and putting his things away. He then went to the bathroom to take a shower. Once he was done, he sat on the bed with his phone. He thought about the meal and smiled when he thought of Junkyu. " Ah... I forgot to ask for his number ". Haruto tutted. He should find a chance to ask for it. He got in bed and fell asleep.
