Third person point of view
The car ride to the office was rather silent. Junkyu was still a bit on edge so he decided to not say anything too. Haruto also was focused on driving and did not talk. They reached near and Haruto stopped at the cafe which was a little away from their office. Junkyu removed his seat belt once they parked.
" Thank you so much sir ". Haruto nodded. " Can you do me a favor ? " Junkyu's eyes went wide and he agreed. Haruto picked up his wallet and took out a card and handed it to Junkyu. " Can you get me a drink ? " Junkyu took the card and nodded. " Yes, sure. What would you like ? " " Hot chocolate ". Junkyu blinked and gave a nod.
He quickly got out of the car and closed the door. He gave a bow and walked two steps but heard Haruto honk. He turned back and went closer. Haruto leaned to his side. " Don't need to hurry. Take your time. I don't like it too hot anyway ". Junkyu nodded. " Okay sir ". " Get yourself something too if you want to ".
Junkyu shook his head. " It is fine ". Junkyu gave an awkward smile. Haruto was amused and did not insist on it. " Well... it is up to you ". Junkyu gave a nod. Haruto sat back and started the car once again. Junkyu watched him drive away and then walked into the cafe. He thought Haruto would ask for some coffee based drink but he didn't expect this.
He himself was not a big fan of coffee. So he empathized a little. He ordered the hot chocolate and didn't dare get himself anything. He paid with the card and took it with him. He walked to the office which was a few steps away. He first went to his seat and put his things away. He then took the drink and card and went to Haruto's room.
Junkyu knocked and heard a come in. He opened the door and closed it carefully. He had never been in that room. More like there was never a reason for him to be there. But he didn't dare look around much. He put the drink and card on the table. Haruto looked up. " Thank you ". " No, no ". Junkyu waved his hands. Haruto smiled.
Junkyu also gave a small smile. He walked out and let out a breath. He put a hand to his chest and took a deep breath. He went to his seat and finally felt better. He greeted his colleagues and got to work. Time flew by as he was swimming in work. He let out a groan and looked at the corner of the screen. He should go have lunch.
" Hyung, come on ". His colleague, Kim Doyoung, tapped him on the shoulder. Junkyu nodded and picked up his phone. He got out of the seat and walked with him to the cafeteria. They sat down with the food along with some others and had it while chatting about all kinds of things. The others went back to their seats, while Junkyu and Doyoung went to the washroom.
They finished their business and walked out of the stall. Junkyu washed his hands and went to the machine to dry them. Doyoung also came and stood beside him. Doyoung was an alpha and a year younger than Junkyu. But they ended up joining around the same time and became close when they worked as interns.
They ended up in different teams after becoming full time employees. So they would meet during breaks. Doyoung gave a small frown. " Hyung ". Junkyu pulled his hands away and gave a hum. " Did you change your shampoo ? " Junkyu was a little confused. Doyoung tilted his head. " It is not the same scent as before ".
Junkyu frowned. He thought about it and remembered he took a bath at Haruto's house. So of course it was not the same as his usual one. He blinked trying to not give away anything. " Ah... " He quickly thought of an excuse. " They were giving out some samples yesterday and I tried them out ".
Doyoung nodded, showing he understood. Junkyu observed his face and it looked like he didn't suspect anything. " Is it bad ? " Doyoung shook his head. " Nothing like that. I was just asking ". Junkyu narrowed his eyes. " You and your alpha traits ". Both of them laughed. Junkyu let out a sigh in his heart.
They both walked out and came across their team leaders, Park Jeongwoo and So Junghwan who were both alphas. They greeted them and got a nod in reply. They went to their seats quickly after that. Junkyu finished his work and left on time. He was waiting at the bus stop when he saw Haruto's car drive past.
He suddenly remembered about the previous day and decided to go find Jihoon. They would still be opening, so he would have time to talk to him. He went to the bar and went inside. They were setting up for the opening. He saw Jihoon behind the counter with his back towards him. Junkyu walked up to him without making too much noise.
" So you are still alive ". Jihoon said without looking up. Junkyu still got caught so easily. He gave a grin and sat down. " Sorry about yesterday ". Jihoon shook his head, putting the glass in his hand away. He then turned around to Junkyu. " You should learn to be more careful ". Junkyu nodded like a good kid.
Jihoon shook his head in exasperation. He could just take care of him anyway. " Why don't you date ? " Junkyu blinked. " Where did that come from now ? " " Well... if it is a reliable guy, then I need not worry about you like this ". Junkyu let out a sigh. " I can just be more cautious ". " Do you think I believe you ? " Junkyu pursed his lips.
