Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – First Cafe Task

Kael Frost woke up to the familiar chime in his head. The glowing system window hovered above him, brighter than usual, as though it had something extraordinary to announce.

[System Notification]

[Congratulations, Kael Frost.]

[Evaluation Bonus Granted.]

[Reward: $1,000,000 credited to your account.]

[Additional Reward: Lucky Spin unlocked.]

Kael sat up so fast that his sheets tangled around him. One million? His hands trembled as he touched the digits on the floating screen, half-convinced they would vanish.

"A… a million dollars?" he whispered, his heart pounding. Just a month ago, he had been counting coins to buy groceries. Now the system had dropped a fortune in his lap.

Then another window appeared:

[Lucky Spin Activated. One attempt remaining.]

A colorful wheel spun in front of his eyes, flashing icons of houses, jewelry, electronics, and cars. Kael's breath caught when the wheel slowed and landed on a silver emblem—a four-ring logo that every car enthusiast knew.

[Reward Obtained: Audi R8 – 2025 Model.]

Kael's jaw dropped. "No way."

Moments later, the sound of a car key materialized on his desk. His hands shook as he picked it up. Etched into the fob was the R8's sleek silhouette. He rushed downstairs to the street, and there it was—gleaming under the morning sun like a dream made solid.

When the car materialized in the empty lot beside the cafe, Kael nearly cried. He traced his fingers over the polished hood, the faint warmth of the sun gleaming off the chrome trim. The seats hugged him like a glove, and when the engine growled to life, it was like music—a deep, throaty roar that echoed in his bones.

With one million dollars in his account, he began thinking bigger. Morning Brew was doing well, but the name felt too plain for an ambitious future. If he wanted to grow beyond a single shop, he needed something catchy, easy to remember—something that would stand out.

That evening, Kael gathered Mia, Lila, and Leo around a table.

"I've been thinking," he began, "if we want to turn this into more than a single cafe, we need a new name. Something sharper."

Mia tapped her chin thoughtfully. "What about something warm? Like… Cozy Cup?"

Leo made a face. "Sounds like a pillow brand."

Lila adjusted her glasses. "We need a short, clear name. Two syllables. Easy to pronounce, easy to market."

Kael smiled. He had already been playing with an idea. "What about BrewFi? Like Wi-Fi, but for coffee. Catchy, modern, and it hints at connection."

The room fell silent. Then Mia clapped her hands. "That's actually genius!"

Leo grinned. "BrewFi, huh? Feels… international. Like something you'd see on a neon sign."

Lila gave a rare nod. "It works. Memorable and brandable."

And so, Morning Brew was reborn as BrewFi.

With the million-dollar cushion, Kael began laying out plans. A second location near the central mall, a third one close to the train station. He spoke to real estate agents, signed contracts, and purchased modern coffee machines that dwarfed the second-hand ones they'd once struggled with.

Mia handled training for new staff with her endless energy. Lila built a proper inventory system, negotiating with suppliers. Leo became the unofficial handyman for every new branch, even learning basic carpentry to adjust interiors.

The dream was no longer just a single shop. It was a brand.

But success always carried shadows.

Two weeks into BrewFi's expansion, Kael received his first real customer complaint.

After two weeks his cafe was doing good. They made some regural costumer and hire more staffs.

......

The system pinged softly in his mind shortly after:

[System Notification]

[Next Goal: Achieve $500,000 in sales across all BrewFi branches within 45 days.]

[Reward: Hidden.]

Kael's eyes narrowed. Five hundred thousand dollars. Forty-five days. It was tight—but not impossible.

That night, as Kael drove his Audi R8 through the glowing city streets, the weight of the day settled in. The roar of the engine echoed like a reminder: he had come far, but the road ahead was longer, harsher, and filled with turns he couldn't yet see.

He knew the next 45 days would test his leadership, the strength of his team, and the loyalty of his customers. Every decision would matter, every complaint had to be handled, and every branch needed to perform.

The system's hidden reward shimmered in his mind like a promise.

Kael tightened his grip on the steering wheel, eyes narrowing at the open road ahead.

Five hundred thousand dollars. Forty-five days.
