"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 251: Showdown with Loki
By the time Loki's seal was about to break the next morning, everyone had gathered.
Sona Sitri arrived with two peerage members. Ace Angel Irina Shidou and Valkyrie Rossweisse stood ready. Rias led her full Gremory team. All present, all tense.
Suspended in the air before them, a diamond-shaped barrier shimmered—the seal placed by Maou Ajuka Beelzebub, holding the Norse Chief God Loki, who'd attacked just yesterday.
"Almost time. The seal's about to give," Rias announced, checking her watch. Last night, she'd confessed to nerves, but now she looked perfectly composed. Guess a little late-night exercise with Draconis Yi worked wonders.
"Loki's a powerhouse. If he goes all out, he's Maou-level. But we're not helpless—if we coordinate…" Sona reviewed tactics, then glanced at Draconis Yi. She knew Sirzechs only sent Rias because Draconis Yi was here.
"Think you can handle him?" she asked.
Draconis Yi shrugged. "Guess we'll find out."
He looked up at the seal. Under everyone's gaze, cracks spidered across the barrier—then, with a thunderous snap, it shattered.
A young man appeared, white-haired and robed in white, floating above them. His face was cold, tinged with annoyance.
"Beelzebub and his petty tricks," Loki sneered. Even a Maou couldn't just erase a god.
He scanned the crowd, unimpressed. "What's this, just a bunch of small fry?"
Loki's gaze was icy. To him, these High-class devils were barely worth noticing—he could wipe them out with a flick.
He barely bothered with theatrics. With a lazy wave, space rippled violently.
BOOM.
A monstrous wolf dropped from the sky—mountain-sized, radiating raw malice.
"Careful, that's Fenrir…" someone warned.
Rossweisse stepped forward, voice firm. "Lord Loki, please reconsider! This isn't the way to protest!"
Loki glanced at her, dismissive. "Odin's Valkyrie? Talented, but you're out of your depth." He ignored her completely.
Rossweisse squared her shoulders. "If you won't listen, then forgive me!"
She raised her hand, summoning a barrage of magic circles that exploded toward Loki.
He didn't even flinch. "Boring tricks… Fenrir, deal with them."
Loki's divine power snuffed out the attack. He hovered, smirking. "One bite from Fenrir spells annihilation. If you're eager to die, go ahead and try. Oh, and…"
He gestured again—two more giant wolves appeared, smaller than Fenrir but still massive, along with a huge serpent.
"Sköll and Hati, Fenrir's pups. Not as strong, but they'll do. And Midgardsormr—my knockoff dragon king. Let's see if it's useful."
Loki waved, almost bored. "Kill them."
The three wolves roared, charging straight for Rias and her team.
Rias's aura blazed red, magic surging. "Don't underestimate me! Let me show you what training can do!"
Her power erupted in waves of flame, battering the wolves and even forcing Fenrir to back off. She was approaching Ultimate-class devil level—breakthrough was close.
Loki watched, unimpressed. "Decent attack, but Fenrir's barely scratched. Don't be afraid, Fenrir—she can't hurt you."
The wolf growled, testing Rias's magic, found itself unscathed, and let out a triumphant roar.
Rias just smiled. "I know I can't do this alone. But I'm not alone."
WHOOSH.
Sona and Student Council VP Shinra Tsubaki unleashed their own magic, joining the assault.
Rias struck again—a trio of red, blue, and purple blasts hammered Hati, sending it flying.
Xenovia, Irina, and the others arrived, blocking the wolves' advance.
"President, leave the beasts to us," Xenovia called.
"Good. We'll handle the serpent," Rias replied, switching targets.
Loki's amusement faded to irritation. "Annoying little pests. You're stronger than I expected—Fenrir's actually stalled."
He'd thought Fenrir would crush these devils instantly. Now, it was clear they were holding their own.
"Enough. Be annihilated."
Loki raised his hand—a beam of deep blue divine power lanced toward Rias's group.
Draconis Yi flashed between Rias and the attack, raising his hand. The Divine Lament Shield shimmered into place, absorbing the blast.
As the light faded, Draconis Yi stood unharmed, coolly staring up at Loki.
Loki scowled. "And who are you supposed to be, exactly?"
Draconis Yi grinned. "Don't worry about it. Once I've beaten you to tears, you'll know I'm someone even your dad would respect."
He shot back with practiced irreverence—whether sarcasm or straight-up trash talk, he was a master.
Loki's eyes narrowed. "You're asking for death."
He unleashed a hurricane of attack spells, magic raining down in a relentless storm.
Draconis Yi moved fast, dodging with Rias in tow. The spot they'd just vacated erupted in explosions—each beam carved a crater dozens of meters wide.
He set Rias down near the Fenrir fight, then summoned the Regalia Blade without hesitation.
Queen Promotion—activated.
Against a Norse Chief God, there was no room for caution. Every attribute surged.
Loki raised an eyebrow. "Interesting. Is that the Evil Piece effect?"
He'd done his homework. Even with Draconis Yi's boosted power, he wasn't worried.
Draconis Yi knew Loki was dangerous. He pointed his sword skyward and activated his next trump card.
Amplification—go.
His magic surged again, power climbing higher still.
