Chapter 80 - 《DXD: Transfer Student》Chapter 80: Don’t Mess Around

Draconis's timing with the anti-magic field was flawless—the last of the fallen angels were caught alive, helpless and sealed. The Sigil of Suppression had done its job; for now, they were no threat.

Rias let her magic dissipate, striding over with Akeno at her side. Her smile was cool, her confidence absolute.

"Perfect timing, Draconis," she said, voice warm with praise. His intervention had snuffed out any hope of mutual destruction and handed Rias a chance to interrogate the survivors.

She crouched, meeting the eyes of her captives. "Good morning, ladies—such beautiful fallen angels."

Her tone was elegant, but the chill in her gaze made her seem untouchable—every inch the dream goddess of Kuoh Academy.

One fallen angel sneered, refusing to yield. "Hmph. What are you so proud of?"

Even defeated, they clung to defiance.

Rias's smile didn't falter. "Pride? Hardly. Beating a handful of weaklings isn't worth bragging about."

She towered over them, gaze sharp. "Let's make this simple. Tell me your plan."

The answer was a mocking laugh. "Interrogate us? Keep dreaming, bitch. You think you'll walk out of here? Our master will slaughter every last one of you! Ha—"

A flash of steel. Draconis's blade punched through the woman's mouth, from cheek to cheek. He twisted, and blood sprayed as tongue and teeth scattered across the floor.

He pressed her face to the ground, voice calm but eyes cold. "You don't seem to know how to speak."

The brutality was matter-of-fact, not angry—just a demonstration of control. The remaining fallen angels shrank back, fear finally breaking through their bravado.

Rias's smile deepened. She enjoyed having someone that ruthless on her side.

Akeno pouted theatrically. "Oh, you should've let me have that one. Such a waste of a perfect opportunity."

Draconis glanced at the survivors. "There are still four left."

Akeno's eyes lit up, her sweet smile returning. "How thoughtful, Draconis."

Rias shot her a look. "Don't mess around with my Draconis."

Akeno raised her hands in mock surrender. "Ara ara~ All yours, President."

Draconis cut in, practical as ever. "If they won't talk, we'll find out ourselves. No point wasting time."

Rias nodded, then turned to Akeno. "You've got two minutes."

"Yes, President." Akeno licked her lips, her gentle smile now pure menace to the fallen angels.

"What… what are you going to do?" one of them stammered, voice trembling.

Akeno's tone was soft, almost comforting. "Relax. We have two whole minutes together…"

Lightning danced on her fingertips. Screams filled the air, sharp at first, then fading to exhausted whimpers. Draconis gathered Asia in his arms, shielding her from the carnage—some things were better left unseen by innocent eyes.

Akeno returned, legs streaked with blood but face serene. "Stubborn as ever. All I got was the location of this space's core—a laboratory, apparently."

Draconis shrugged. "Figures. Probably a trap waiting for us."

Akeno grinned. "No doubt. They're hoping we'll walk right into it."

Rias's smile was icy. "Doesn't matter. We're going. Let's see what kind of welcome they've prepared."

The group moved out. With the last defenses gone, nothing stood in their way. They advanced through the strange dimension, arriving at its heart—a research facility, bristling with modern tech and surrounded by pillars pulsing with divine power. It looked less like a lab and more like a cage.

The main doors were closed, but as Draconis and Koneko approached, sensors triggered and the doors slid open.

Inside, the lobby was lined with tanks of bubbling green liquid. Asia gasped, covering her mouth.

Men and women floated naked in the fluid, nearly a hundred in all. Their bodies twitched, but something was wrong—their eyes were empty, their souls gone.

Rias's voice was low, furious. "They stole their souls."

Draconis scanned the room. "Where's the staff?"

"Gone," he said. "These people are useless to them now."

Rias snorted. "Typical fallen angel cunning."

Suddenly, glass shattered. Everyone turned—a tank had cracked, spilling its contents. A woman tumbled out, coughing violently. Her coughs turned to guttural growls as agony twisted her features.

Her skin began to rot, swelling with pus—within seconds, she transformed into something monstrous and grotesque.
