Old Madam Qinn cleared her throat. "Holding back is a smart move, as a Qinn the family's reputation comes first and must be protected at all costs. As for the offenders we have our own way of dealing with them without involving the media."
Snow Jiang's lips twitched slightly as she moved to a sitting position. "I'll keep that in mind, Grandma."
She fidgeted with her hands, stealing glances at Old Madam Qinn.
"Spit it out." Old Madam Qinn said after noticing her glances.
Snow Jiang hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should say it. After a painfully silent moment, she finally opened her mouth. "Grandma, I was unable to get the clothes… does that mean I won't be coming along to the party?"
"Is that what took you a hundred years to say?" Old Madam Qinn's lips twitched slightly. "Don't worry about the dress, someone will bring it to you."
A smile of relief curved on Snow Jiang's lips, but it didn't last long when she heard Old Madam Qinn's next word.
