Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Scandal

Their eyes went wide in shock… Snow tried to pull away but she remembered it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Taking the chance, she deepened the kiss, while Adrian could only stay still like a rock.

Gasps.

The women's hands flew to their mouths, unable to believe the scene before their eyes.

Others burned with fury and jealousy, they wished it were them in his arms, kissing him.

The reporters swarmed into the hall, taking multiple pictures.

Mr. Quinn's guard snapped out of their shock and rushed to separate Snow from Adrian.

Snow caught their movement from the corner of her eyes, and pulled her lips from Adrian's, who was still stupefied by the whole incident.

She scrambled to her feet and turned to run away, but she stopped midway and turned away to plant another kiss on his cheek. "I love you," she whispered in his ear, giggling before dashing out of the event.

She managed to slip away from the crowd, because their attention was fixed on Adrian who was being helped to his feet now.

His expression was that of a kid encountering a ghost. He felt violated and harassed.

Never in his entire life had anyone dared to get close to him not to talk about kissing him. His fingers mindlessly brushed his lips… 'She kissed me? Who is she?'

By the time he got his senses back, his chocolate eyes scanned the crowd searching for the lady in red.

However, she was nowhere to be found. He turned to his guards. "Find out who she is… I want to know everything about her in an hour!" He loosened his tie.

His well-combed hair had turned into a messy one. He walked out of the event in a fit of anger. His aura was so overbearing that the reporters had to create a way for him.

...

The next morning, news, TV channels, social media, billboards in the city, and radio stations in the subway threw the citizens into a frenzy.

"The Woman Who Brought Adrian Quinn Down."

"The Psycho in Red Brings Chaos to Skyline Gala."

"Nation's Number One CEO Knocked Down by Scandal."

"Adrian Quinn, The Untouchable Bachelor, Kissed by Mystery Woman in Red."

"The Woman Who Wanted To F**k Adrian Quinn!"

New headlines buried the former ones. The citizens burned in fury, seeing their most desirable bachelor kissed by a crazy woman on the same day he decided to show his face.

Social media went on fire, with different search tags.

"#PsychoInRed"

"#CrazyWomanInRed"

"#AdrianQuinnScandal"

Netizens began commenting as if they had turned to typewriters

"Who does she think she is? Touching OUR Adrian like that?? Shameless!!!"

"This psycho ruined the most important charity gala of the year."

"Her cheap red dress and clown makeup? PLEASE. She's not even in the same league."

"That kiss was forced. Adrian's face said it all. She should be arrested."

"I hope Mr. Quinn sues her for everything she has."

"She looked like a stray cat barging into a palace."

"Imagine spending millions on PR to be untouchable, and then this happens."

The comments continued as Snow scrolled over her phone, munching on a bag of chips.

She wore pajamas with paws imprinted on them. She lay on her stomach on her couch, her legs making various movements in the air.

Her hair was tied into a messy bun. She pouted her lips when she read the comment about her description as a stray cat… before a small smile curled on her lips.

"I can't believe I'm this famous already." She muttered to herself. "What will they do when I drop the next bomb?"

A devilish smirk formed on her lips. She typed her location and sent it to one of the reporters.

...….

(Quinn corporate group)

"Mr. Quinn, you owe us an explanation. Our shares dropped 8% overnight!" One of the shareholders, who had a bald head and looked around his early fifties said grumpily.

Adrian sat leg-crossed in the main chair in the meeting room.

He glanced at the shareholders, who had a worried expression.

"You have always kept a clean image. Who would have thought it would get damaged in a matter of seconds?" Another voiced his displeasure.

Yet, Adrian didn't utter a word.

His eyes were as cold and sharp as blades, deep down he wondered if this was the right time to clean the house.

"Mr. Quinn, do you realize what this scandal has done?" Another said, slamming his hand on the table.

"We invested in your untouchable image, and now the internet calls you the 'fallen bachelor.'"

Adrian's eyes darkened, he loosened his tie, and his jaws clenched tightly.

"Derek," Adrian called out.

His secretary walked beside. "Yes, boss."

"Have you contacted all the media? If there is any more news about this incident, they'll face my wrath." He said calmly.

Derek nodded his head and went outside the meeting room to make some calls.

Adrian cleared his throat. "I'm quite surprised the reason you invested in my company was because of my image." He chuckled. "I thought it was because the company is number one in the country." He relaxed his back on his chair.

The shareholders looked at one another with a knowing look.

"Mr. Quinn, what we mean is our shares are taking the hit because of your scandal." One of them said bluntly.

"Is that so?" Adrian smirked, his eyes fixated on the shareholder.

Murmurs broke out around the table. Some shareholders slammed their tablets down, and others frantically refreshed stock tickers.

A few exchanged nervous glances, whispering about emergency press releases. The room smelled of sweat and tension, a far cry from the polished calm Adrian demanded.

Before he could part his lips to continue talking, the door burst open. Derek hurried to him and whispered in his ear.

"What!" Adrian rose to his feet. His brows furrowed dangerously. "Let me see the news."

Derek brought out his tabloid and showed it to Adrian. On the news were multiple reporters surrounding a girl with a small frame.

She wore a tailored milk suit and a pair of trousers, she wore pearls to accompany the look. Her hair cascaded down her back.
