Sai made his way to the hospital. Maybe it was a habit of going everyday or he just needed to confirm if his life was still real but he went anyway.
He passed by the nurses who greeted him eagerly as the guy who kindly payed for a random woman's medical bills but he just passed by them absentmindedly. He wasn't in the mood.
His hand spasmed as he clutched at empty air longing to feel his pistol as he just felt like killing himself.
Luckily, he threw it in a garbage can before he got any weird ideas.
Room 2A. Specialty ward. A room where he and Leon would come after school everyday to come and check up on her. They would talk, chat with her whether she was lucid or not.
Unlike his mom, she didn't go down the path of drugs. She was abused and drugged excessively by Leon's father. Maybe that was why he helped them back then, but now that he thought about it, it was purely on a whim. A project to see how much money he could make.
Now that the same person he has done so much for had betrayed him, the normal thing to do was to stop paying for her treatment. That was the right choice, wasn't it. His arms twitched again. Was it even right to punish her for her son's betrayal?
"You were never meant to be much of a thinker." A voice echoed from behind him. He quickly turned around, seeing no one.
"Hahaha, I'm imagining things now." He said lightly, not noticing the purple glint in his eyes.
As he entered, he didn't expect the scene he found. Leon's mom was lying weakly on her bed but she was...awake. She was rarely awake anymore as she drifted into comas constantly. The strangest part was that she was crying.
Sai tried to act normally and smiled as he didn't want to pull her into another coma.
"You're awake. Congratulations, Leon has been so worried." He said, trying to improve her mood. He quickly noticed something was wrong."Why are you cryi..."
"STOP!"
She fully turned to him, despite the obvious strain on her.
"I know what Leon has done." She said, still crying the entire time. "I know you must hate him."
"I do." He was being honest with her as he was that she wasn't in the mood for flattery. "I really do."
"You've done so much for me, for that I know I can't repay." She said , her voice filled with pain.
"You don't need to. I've decided."
"..."
"I'm going to end my life."
"You can't." Sai said firmly, his tone not leaving room for argument.
"Please, don't try and stop me. I'm being selfish here."she chuckled lightly before coughing up a bit of blood."It hurts. Knowing that I'm a burden to a kind soul and can't even depend on my own son to show even the slightest appreciation. It's misery."
"I know."
"So please...kill me."
"...Okay."
"Thank you."she said with a gentle smile as she lay down for the last time.
"Goodbye." I said emotionlessly and then I unplugged the machine.

Sai exited the hospital feeling utterly drained, both emotionally and mentally. He felt as if a great stone has been lifted and an even greater one had been dropped on his heart.
The usually calming fountain in front of the hospital now felt hollow and unattractive to him. Almost every good memory he had of this town was with Leon and now that they were no longer friends, he didn't even know what to feel. He sighed as he looked towards the setting sun
"Fuck. What a terrible day."
He always wondered at how he made so much money and spent it all on someone else and now that he had it to himself, he didn't even know what to do with it.
WHIRRR!
Suddenly, he saw an entire police blockage set up on front of the hospital. There were over a dozen armed police officers in several squad cars with weapons trained on him. Above in the sky a news chopper hovered over the plaza with a cameraman pointing the lens straight at him.
"Sai Nirvan come out with your hands behind your head." A police officer yelled through a megaphone but Neo was too dazed to even understand the words
He turned as his ears picked up the news in the hospital lobby where a news report was on of that very hospital where a mass murderer was being apprehended by the name of Sai Nirvan.
"SAI YOU BASTARD! COME OUT." He heard that voice. Leon.
He spotted Leon at the forefront of the police blockage being restrained by the police as he was being held back. His face was stained in snot and tears as he repeatedly cursed at Sai.
"YOU FUCKING MURDERER! YOU KILLED HER! YOU KILLED LUCY!"
"Lucy's...dead?" Sai muttered in disbelief. A slow smile broke out on his face, quickly turning into a manic grin as he laughed out loud. His booming laughter echoing across the area, making even the police pause momentarily.
"She's dead. Ahh, that makes me feel so much better." He said smiling as he ran a hand through his head. He descended the stairs in a casual manner even as the police bellowed warnings.
"You know Leon, I don't mind being blamed for this. Seriously. But there's one thing you should know..."His voice turned cold, even as he raised his finger playfully."I also killed your mom."
Leon broke down completely as his legs gave outin shock.
"Nooo, it can't be..."he asked, pleaded. Even though he knew it was true.
The nearby police were equally in shock at his boldness, momentarily forgetting that he was now within a few feet of them.
"Ah. You know..."he said slowly, his voice becoming playful. "This would have never happened if not for you."
Sai was now within striking distance as he crouched in front of Leon. Leon looked up with desperate, trembling eyes.
"All the blood is on your hands."
"FIRE!!!!"
All the police rained down bullets on Neo from all angles. Handguns, rifles, even shotguns were used as if desperate to rid the world of the evil before them.
That was how Sai Nirvan died.
