Chapter 1 - c1 – The First Collision

The morning sun spilled golden rays over the bustling city. Students rushed through the college gates, laughter and chatter filling the air. Among them walked Meera Sharma, clutching her books tightly against her chest, her eyes full of quiet determination.

Today was her first day at Starlight University, and her heart raced with both nervousness and excitement. She whispered to herself, "New place, new beginning… I can do this."As she hurried through the crowded corridor, fate decided to play its first trick.

From the opposite direction came Aarav Mehta—tall, sharp-eyed, dressed in a crisp white shirt, walking with the effortless confidence of someone who belonged to another world. His presence was magnetic, making heads turn, but his expression remained cold, detached.

Neither noticed the other until—

Crash!

Books scattered across the floor. Meera stumbled, almost losing her balance.

Meera (annoyed): "Can't you see where you're going?"

Aarav (calm, almost arrogant): "You were the one rushing. Watch your steps next time."She bent down quickly to gather her books, muttering under her breath. Aarav crouched too, his long fingers brushing against hers as he picked up one of her notebooks. For a brief second, their eyes met.

His gaze was intense—too deep, almost unreadable. Meera's heart skipped, but she quickly pulled her hand back.

Meera: "Thanks… but I can manage."

Aarav (handing the book with a faint smirk): "Clearly, you can't."

Before she could reply, he stood up and walked away, leaving her with a mix of irritation and… something she couldn't name.Later that day, in the lecture hall, Meera found an empty seat and sighed in relief. She opened her notebook, determined to focus. But destiny wasn't done with her yet.

The professor walked in, followed by Aarav—who casually took the seat right beside her.

Meera (under her breath): "Oh no… not him again."

Aarav (glancing at her, amused): "Relax. I don't bite."

She clenched her pen, choosing silence over argument. But inside, her thoughts were a storm.

Why did his presence disturb her so much? And why did her heartbeat quicken every time his eyes flickered toward her?

She didn't know yet, but this was only the beginning of a story neither of them could escape.
