BOOOOOOM!
The ground lurched beneath their feet. Pillars shook, roof tiles rattled, and decorative ornaments toppled from their shelves. The tremors grew stronger by the second, sending cracks spreading across the marble floors.
"What!? What happened!? What the hell happened?!"
"Earthquake! It's an earthquake!"
"Everyone, get out of the buildings!"
"Don't just stand there! Find somewhere safe!"
"Protect His Majesty! Where is His Majesty?!"
The palace immediately descended into chaos as the servants and palace guards realized what was happening.
Servants dropped whatever they were carrying and scrambled for safety. Some rushed toward the open courtyards, while others desperately tried to find shelter away from the towering buildings. A few stumbled and fell as the ground continued to shake beneath them.
"Ahhh!"
