— Meanwhile - Thousand Treasure City —
"Slap him! Punch him! Kick him in the balls!! I hate his beautiful face!"
"What the hell? What an idiot! My money!!"
"Don't just stand there! Use your head! He's baiting you!"
The tournament grounds in Thousand Treasure City, specially built for this occasion, were filled with deafening cheers. Thousands upon thousands of cultivators had gathered to watch the first round of the Underworld Palace's recruitment tournament, their excitement spreading through the audience like wildfire.
Some spectators shouted themselves hoarse, while others argued passionately over the contestants' techniques. There were even people who had begun placing informal bets on which participants would advance to the next round.
However, the moment they were caught by the Enforcers, they were slapped with hefty fines for illegal gambling.
