Chapter 123 - No One Can Resist the Hand of God

"I won't need a canvas to finish you, nor will I require a weapon to seal the evil in this place." Jonathan walked toward Jayden, who was on her knees on the floor, weakened by the silver rope he had placed around her wrists.

Truth be told, Jonathan had a very simple way to resolve this not-so-major problem he had on his hands. The only reason he hadn't done anything yet was because this family had to witness with their own eyes that what was happening in this house was real.

This would save a lot of trouble for the management team when it came to making them sign the confidentiality agreement. After all, this needed to be finalized by the management team, who were in charge of making sure that the lives of people affected by dark entities returned to normal.

Jonathan didn't just think about finishing the job, but also about helping others so that they wouldn't have bigger complications.

"Priest, we've heard about you—the ones who supposedly eliminate the evil in this rotting world, corrupted by the very humans you defend. I wonder how you feel about that." Jayden raised her face to look at Jonathan, who was approaching.

But he didn't say a word; instead, he walked behind her and, grabbing her by the shirt, began dragging her toward one of the rooms.

"What are you doing?" Anna, who was already aware of the problem, still couldn't avoid feeling terrible about how they were treating her beloved child's body.

She didn't know what would happen next, but she wouldn't let her child be harmed just like that and for no reason.

"He's going to exorcise the evil spirit inside your child's body. He's saving him." Wednesday looked at Anna, who hadn't calmed down since everything started.

Since she knew what was happening, if Anna interrupted the exorcism, she had the right to kill her if necessary—something she wouldn't do, of course.

But the truth was that nothing could stop an exorcist priest from doing his job; this gave them the authority to end the lives of troublesome civilians. That would save many more lives than those that were worth saving.

In this job, they didn't only look after the safety of the affected family, but also that of other people. Therefore, if saving hundreds of families was better than saving just one, then the answer of what could be done in certain situations was clear.

People were idiots by nature; precisely because of that, they couldn't be trusted, since mistakes were subject to variable outcomes.

Wednesday had thought through this scenario and concluded that it was better to eliminate threats.

"If you interfere, you'll get yourselves into trouble, and you won't save your daughter. Believe me when I tell you that nothing and no one will be able to save you." Wednesday said this as she entered the room to help Jonathan with whatever he needed.

But upon entering, she saw something she would never forget: Jayden's body completely twisted.

"Will he be okay?"

Jonathan turned and nodded. "When a body is possessed, the one in control usually does truly strange things. But once the evil is eliminated, everything will go back to normal."

After saying this, he walked to Jayden's side, who was now possessed by her grandmother, and said, "All right, let's begin."

"Go to hell, Priest—you piece of trash. I'll kill you just like they did your damn god crucified on a cross."

"Your name is Monica, right?" Jonathan activated his new ability called the Hand of God, and as his blood dripped from the cross-shaped mark on the palm of his hand onto her forehead…

"Go to hell!"

Jonathan closed his eyes, began using his divine energy, and his blood, as if it were acid, started burning Jayden's forehead, causing her to immediately scream in pain.

"Ahhhhhh!!!"

"You know how all of this ends, Monica. Now then, I can let you go without suffering, but you must tell me the name of the demon you were trying to summon." Jonathan shouted with powerful authority in his voice, causing things around them to begin trembling.

Wednesday, who was standing beside him, simply watched with a massive expression of shock on her face.

"There's no need to know his name… he'll visit you sooner or later…"

"Arghhhhh!!!"

Jonathan wanted to know the name of the demon this woman had been trying to summon into the male body of her nephew, as a favor she had asked when she knew her child would die before being born. But he knew things were becoming very complicated when he felt the woman's resistance to the pain.

"Get out of my son's body!!!" Anna screamed upon seeing her son Jayden floating above the bed to which she had been tied.

This scene was too visual to withstand for long.

Jonathan, who was standing in front of the possessed boy, sighed. "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen."

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!"

"Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy. Our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary." Jonathan shouted, switching to Latin to give more strength to his words.

The only reason he was using this method of exorcism was because he was mocking this woman, who seemed to believe he was a simple exorcist, although he liked to appear as one.

"Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Genitrix!"

"Ut digni efficiamur promissionibus Christi. S.: Amen."

Boom! Boom! Boom!

All the walls of the room began to creak as if something were trying to enter from the outside.

"Ut digni efficiamur promissionibus Christi. S.: Amen."

"Arghhhhh!!!"

Jonathan, with a cruel look on his face, waved his hand and murmured, "Now leave this body, Monica…"
