Hallie looked at the police officers who were leaving with the family.
She wasn't the type to wait for the family to understand, not when there was a category five dark entity to be confronted by him and his agents.
Many would die, but it would be made clear that humans still weren't losing.
Strong, immovable, and with a heart of stone.
"Ready?" Jonathan looked at Hallie, who seemed to have cried a lot.
"What is it that I will do?"
"Rule number one, if a dark entity marks you, don't run, don't fear, don't think about surviving because that thing will find you and kill you." Jonathan said, opening the door for Hallie, who got in without saying anything.
You cannot run from evil, there was only one path, confrontation, and as a result either life or darkness.
"As you have managed to summon Slenderman, tonight my men and I will confront him to seal him if we don't succeed in killing him." Jonathan said, going over everything they would do that night.
Hallie said directly: "He cannot be killed."
That was partly the truth many believed, Slenderman was a being that could not be killed.
But Jonathan had weapons that had killed even the worst demons, vampires, or werewolves. It had been a long time since he had used his supernatural power that had recently awakened again, so to be honest, he had many chances of facing him.
Whatever the result, he would fight, even if he had to die to win, he would do it.
Not because he was a hero, but because a man faces his path no matter what it may be, and Jonathan had made a stupid promise he could not stop fulfilling.
"Zz… We have the other girl."
"Zz… We have Chloe."
Hallie looked at the armed men in front of her and asked: "Are you perhaps an organization that fights these things?"
"Indeed, now that you've been linked to a case like this, you will be sent to a special school where you'll be instructed in whatever branch suits you best, and you will serve the Order as all of them have done." Jonathan said while looking at the map to know where to search for Slenderman.
They are all victims of dark entities, this is the simplest way not to deplete resources in eliminating the enemy and always remain on the line of battle.
Field agents fulfill their duty, not for money, being a hero, or anything like that, all of them are involved in this world because of revenge.
Every agent surrounding Jonathan were rabid dogs waiting to kill as many dark entities as possible, and that's why they were classified as bloodhounds.
None of them would hesitate to kill Hallie if that meant killing a dark entity, that made them effective and very lethal against dark entities.
It takes monsters to kill monsters, and the Order had made sure Jonathan's team were emotionless dogs.
"Is the police on the move?" Jonathan asked after giving the map a look.
"Affirmative, the police have cornered the entire forest and nothing inside will be human."
At least the police would save a lot of time, they carried the badge and would be heard.
"The curfew will start at eight tonight, no unauthorized person will be outside their home."
As for the rest, Jonathan hoped there would be no curious ones looking for trouble.
As they returned to the mansion to properly gear up, Jonathan called Wednesday and asked her: "Do you want to observe the operation from home?"
"Can I do that?"
"As a future field agent, you must know about our work, just don't leave the house because things are going to get ugly."
"Yes, I understand."
If he didn't do this, surely Wednesday would appear in the operation zone and in that case, they would be brutally killed.
Wednesday seemed to have a talent, so he would take advantage of her talents to have her later in the force.
All for humanity, right?
