"It's your turn, kenji. Jump already" Jin said sound irritated
"Shut up"
"Dude why'd you even come if you weren't gonna do it? I knew you couldn't handle skydiving"
"Fuck just push him out already" the man in the cockpit said. His voice had a hint of anger and frustration like he was so over his job.
"Dude hold up don't push me" kenji said while practically glueing himself to the floor of the plane.
"I swear I had this dream last night " he said voice shaking, breathing heavy. "Dude something bad is gonna happen"
Jin holding back laughter. "Guess we better watch our backs today, we don't want the hulk coming after us right? Dude chill out" He said trying not to laugh
I'm serious it didn't feel like any ordinary dream it felt more like I was living the future"
The man in the cockpit finally stood up and walked over. "For fuck's sake. You can pull your crap elsewhere but not on my plane" he pointed to others on the plane "look your scaring people with this crap. Are you gonna jump or do I have to make you?"
Kenji stayed quiet, he just looked freaked
"To hell with this", he muttered
Then he pushed him out.
Kenji cursed at the man but his voice was cut off by the wind as he fell, Jin and the man leaned over the edge, watching.
A few seconds passed.
"Why hasn't he pulled his chute", Jin asked frantically
"I don't know. Is he….fighting with it?" The man said.
"Shit he might've been right about something happening" Jin said
The man said nothing just rolled his eyes
Down below, Kenji fumbled with his cord
"Oh shit. The pin's stuck".
Panic should've hit him like a truck but it didn't, instead a weird sense of calm swept over him.
"I knew I should've stayed home" he muttered.
He looked back at the stucked pin and pulled again with all his strength, but it didn't budge.
"Is this how I meet my end?" He murmured as the ground came into his line of sight "shit"
"I haven't read the new chapter of one piece yet, I just got my first girlfriend too, fuck I haven't even had sex yet" he said sounding defeated
He closed his eyes ready to embrace death as he was about to hit the ground. His last words?
"Life dealt me a fucked hand"
Darkness
But something weird happened, it was as though he was still falling, falling down into the abyss, and then he caught a glimpse of someone or rather something staring at him. A creature some may consider a goddes. He was conscious of his surroundings, at least for now.
"My liege, it is an honor to see you again. Although it was your wish, it pains me so that you have no recollection of yourself or of your humble retainer"
"Onto the next world my liege and I hope this world gives you what you've desperately seeked all this time" the figure knelt on one knee as Kenji's soul faded away.
Scattered chatter
"Where am I?" He thought to himself as he tried to open his eyes but couldn't
He felt someone picking him up
"He is our child you can't do this" a woman cried out.
"He is a curse not my child, I refuse to have a blind heir" the king said seething with anger
"What the hell I'm now a baby? And what's worse I'm blind" He thought to himself.
"No this has to be dream right?"
Just then he heard his dad yelling.
"Execute that cursed child and his wretched mother"
Kenji was so focused on being blind he missed his father's orders to execute him.
His mom was tackled by the guards and he fell on the ground, then a woman picked him up, wrapped him in something soft and warm and fled the building into the woods.
Kenji was safe, meanwhile…
"You're really doing this?" Kenji's mother asked.her voice calm but disappointed
He didn't answer.
" he was blind and didn't even get a name"
Still nothing.
"You couldn't even hold him"
The king Edward clenched his fist
"He's cursed"
"No you are, he's just different"
He can't rule when blind, he would be eaten alive"
"He is a baby Edward, ours"
"You don't get it, peop don't follow weakness. They'll see the bloodline as weak.
"There, there you go again you only care about your bloodline and nothing else"
That hit him, he clenched his teeth but stayed quiet
The guards dragged her out to be executed.
"Our child might have been blind but you're the one who never saw anything, but I still love you"she said as she was being dragged away
He said nothing as they dragged her and executed her
