A white pill appeared before me out of thin air. I was lying helpless on the ground, barely able to move. Forcing myself, I used the only hand I could still move to grab it. With all the strength I had left, I quickly shoved the pill into my mouth and swallowed it in one gulp before collapsing back onto the ground.
Slowly, the wounds on my body began to heal. Although the pill's effect was slower than before — the healing speed now was at least ten times slower — I was grateful that I couldn't feel any pain. If I could, I might have cried from how unbearable it would be.
That was also one of the main reasons why the people in the system monitoring chamber were so impressed. They were witnessing a 12-year-old boy who had an extraordinary tolerance for pain and immense courage. Many people are talented, yet they still crumble when faced with pain — someone like me was rare.
Then, a voice echoed — the same cold, emotionless AI voice.
"Because someone entered the Chaos World and interfered with the trial, precautionary measures will now be implemented."
"Huh?"
"Precautionary measures enacted. The next round will be combined with the final round, increasing the difficulty."
"The final round will begin in 10 minutes."
"Good luck."
"What the hell is this?"
"Damn it, the difficulty increased just because of that!"
"Even if my master hadn't intervened, I still would've been fine!"
Ever since I came to this world, I realized life here was far more dangerous than in my previous one. Over the past few years, I had prepared many life-saving measures for myself.
Even if that blade had pierced my skin, the hidden items and spells on my body would have killed the bastard humanoid who swung the dagger.
"But if they all gather together… I could blow them up all at once."
Suddenly, I felt the pressure on my body begin to lift.
"Hey, System, give me a big bomb."
[It is recommended that the host does not do this.]
"Why?"
[Currently, the space is restricted. The item cannot be delivered to the host.]
[Additionally, it is better for the host to complete this trial using your own strength — in order to awaken your bloodline.]
I raised an eyebrow at that last line. It was the first time the system had ever given me information without requiring payment.
"Looks like I'll have to rely on myself…"
Even with the potion I had taken, it was impossible to recover completely. For now, it would only help me stay alive.
Sighing to myself, I quickly rummaged through my belongings and pulled out a different pill. Unlike the previous ones, this pill radiated a mystical aura, and I could feel a tremendous life force emanating from it.
Item: Life Pill
Description: A pill made from the nectar of the Tree of Life. It is said this pill can even bring the dead back to life.
Effect: Heals all wounds and diseases, cures any ailments, and restores the body to peak condition.
Cost: 300,000
An extremely expensive item — luckily, I found it at an auction and managed to buy it.
Without wasting any time, I swallowed the Life Pill.
"Mmm…"
It tasted sweet — so sweet I couldn't even describe it. It was a taste beyond words. All my wounds healed rapidly, and my depleted mana was restored. The sight shocked everyone who was watching.
I stood up, feeling the power flowing through my body. There were no injuries on me anymore, but my entire body was drenched in blood from head to toe. I looked like a beggar.
Seeing that I only had five minutes left, I quickly began preparing. Looking at my bow, I noticed cracks forming along several parts of it — it probably wouldn't last much longer.
I glanced over at my sisters and saw the worry on their faces. I walked over to talk to them. They were lying inside the barrier and unable to move, their eyes fixed on my blood-covered body.
They knew the next round would be the final one — but they didn't know whether I would survive it.
I could see it in their eyes: the pain Rena felt from seeing my wounded body, and the anger Invidia felt toward herself.
Standing before them, I didn't say much — only three words.
"I will succeed."
With those words, I stood in front of them, waiting for the next round to begin. And the five minutes passed quickly. When the bell rang, several figures began to appear — this time, 60 humanoids emerged!!
And in the center of them stood one humanoid completely different from the others — a commander, ready to lead his troops. Even that commander wore heavy armor, and all the humanoids formed disciplined, orderly ranks as if they were a trained army.
This time, I was facing what looked like a real military force under a capable leader.
"Looks like the real trial has finally arrived."
Without hesitation, I quickly nocked an arrow. If I could kill the commander, the others would follow.
As the trial began, the humanoid archers drew their bows, the assassins vanished from sight, the mages began chanting their spells, and the warrior humanoids raised their shields to defend themselves.
"Looks like I'll have to give it everything I've got."
Without wasting time, I immediately activated my defensive spells. The mana ring on my finger began supplying me with a massive flow of mana, and the barrier spell quickly covered all my vital points, making me nearly impenetrable.
Using the surge of mana coursing through me, I quickly activated powerful spells that buffed my speed, strength, and stamina.
And then the battle began — or rather, it was more like a one-sided intimidation.
Under the commander's orders, the humanoids moved quickly. I didn't stay still either. I drew several arrows, cast (Multiply), and fired them at weak points I had identified using the power of my Void Eyes.
Just like before, several dagger-wielding humanoids appeared to slash at me. But this time, I held my bow in one hand and drew a small dagger with the other, using it to block and kill two of the assassins. At this moment, my eyes were glowing with a mix of gold and blue.
At the same time, several arrows flew toward me and the barrier protecting my sisters. Without hesitation, I used the (Wind) spell, causing their arrows to change direction. Then, I fired two Chaos Arrows at the other humanoids closing in.
