The father couldn't help but feel uneasy, thinking about all this.
As the person approached, the father finally got a clear look.
The man wasn't particularly tall, but he was carrying a massive beast on his shoulders.
It was a huge wild boar, weighing at least several dozen pounds.
It seemed he was just an ordinary hunter.
But there weren't any game animals around here, were there?
The father's expression became confused as he thought this over.
As he and his child watched the man appear, the man carrying the wild boar seemed to notice them too.
"Chen Xi? Oh, he's a truly great man. He liberated the Mutants and allowed them to coexist relatively peacefully with humans, even though many humans still can't accept the Mutants."
"Are you also very afraid of the Mutants?"
"How could I not be afraid? Those people, they could crush us with a flick of their fingers and kill us instantly." The father shook his head, speaking earnestly. "But things aren't too bad now. He was also a part of Asgard, though considered an outsider. But he valued Asgard greatly.
And this sense of importance made him want to understand all sorts of things.
"You can meet him."
Everyone had seen Chen Xi, and they thought Hogan should go see him too.
So, after Hogan tossed the wild boar he was carrying off his shoulder, he went straight to see the man named Chen Xi.
He landed in front of the door to the other man's house and saw a very strange woman. This woman gave him a very familiar feeling.
A familiarity that even made him feel a bit of disgust.
This feeling usually only arose when he faced an enemy.
Hogan found it very strange. Logically, he shouldn't be feeling this kind of aversion toward a woman he'd never met.
He paused, then concealed those unpleasant emotions. He then asked, "Hello, is Chen Xi home?"
"I'm from Asgard, and I'd like to meet with him."
Female Loki glanced at Hogan.
Then, she casually said, "She's inside right now. If you want to see, go take a look yourself."
After saying that, she continued to idly space out outside the house.
Hogan only glanced at her again before turning his gaze away. He walked to the door and raised his hand to knock.
Movement quickly came from within.
A very beautiful woman opened the door.
When she saw Hogan, a clear look of wariness appeared in her eyes.
"Who... are you looking for?"
The man in front of him looked incredibly unfamiliar, someone he'd never seen before.
"I'm from Asgard. I was away on business and just returned. I've heard a lot about Mr. Chen Xi from my companions."
"My name is Hogan."
