Back on the battlefield, Darkseid stood tall and imposing with a deeply confident smirk slowly spreading across his stone-like face while his gaze lifted upward to look at the sky stretching above, where he could clearly see David flashing by endlessly like a continuous streak of blue light, running around and around the entire planet nonstop without a single pause or moment of rest, covering the same routes over and over again.
After watching this display for a moment, he shifted his attention and focus downward to observe everyone who was fighting desperately below him on the ground, and that's when Green Lantern Hal came shooting towards him with fierce determination burning in his eyes.
Using the incredible power of his ring to form and create a massive fist made entirely out of bright green willpower energy, and the enormous construct slammed hard into Darkseid's muscular body with tremendous force, only for the entire thing to shatter completely on impact like fragile glass striking solid steel.
Hal didn't even get the chance or opportunity to raise a protective shield to defend himself before Darkseid's large hand came swinging around in what appeared to be a casual, almost dismissive backhand that struck the Green Lantern with absolutely devastating force,
The brutal impact sent him flying helplessly through the air, directly into Superman, who was approaching from another angle, and the unexpected collision between the two heroes sent them both rocketing down towards the ground far below like a pair of missiles.
Darkseid's eyes immediately began to glow an ominous, threatening red color before he unleashed and fired the omega beams directly at the two falling heroes, but fortunately and luckily for them, Wonder Woman managed to throw herself into the path of the deadly beams and blocked them using her bracelets, though the sheer overwhelming force of the vicious attack sent her rocketing away from the immediate battlefield.
Darkseid's mere presence alone on Earth would have been more than enough to force all of them to unite and work together as a coordinated team, but with his elite warriors now stepping aggressively onto Earth and actively fighting, the entire situation had become far more dire and dangerous than anyone had anticipated.
Even though the assembled heroes didn't need to worry about or deal with the endless waves of cannon fodder that David was currently handling across the planet, the remaining elite forces that stood before them were proving to be completely and utterly overwhelming to the heroes who had never before had to deal with or face anything even remotely close to this level of concentrated threat and power before in their careers.
But Darkseid's relaxed and confident mode soon disappeared and vanished completely when he noticed and realized how David wasn't running around the planet anymore, and he also observed that no more Parademons were coming out of the boom tubes that had been constantly spitting out reinforcements.
"Fuck, what a workout." David's tired and exhausted voice sounded as he came stepping out of a boom tube, his entire body covered in the blood of a whole planet he had gone on a violent walk through, slaughtering everything in his path.
"What did you do!" Darkseid roared with fury, his eyes glowing red with his mounting anger and rage.
"You invaded my world, and I live by the saying, Treat others the way you want to be treated. How rude would it be of me not to go to your world and do what you were doing here? I know, don't thank me." David said happily with a casual tone, but Darkseid's rage only grew and escalated to a dangerous boiling point. He wasn't alone in his fury as his elite warriors all turned their heads to look at David in complete shock and burning anger.
Darkseid shot forward without warning, rocketing towards David at incredibly high speed, moving at a scarily faster speed than even the Flash's absolute best speed that he'd ever achieved. Darkseid's Omega beams reached David first, and instantly in response, David unleashed his curse energy and willpower simultaneously, fusing them together to form a protective barrier just as the beam hit and struck his barrier with tremendous force.
'His omega beam can bypass Infinity?' David thought in genuine shock and surprise, but he didn't really care much about that revelation. The barrier he had created easily blocked the beams without much trouble… Darkseid's physical fist was another story entirely, as with a single devastating punch, the barrier shattered completely like glass, and David went rocketing away through the air from the impact.
'He is not giving me any time to recover my strength; maybe I should have taken some time to catch my breath before coming out in such a weakened state.' David thought as he looked at Darkseid, who had already caught up to him with frightening speed, and threw a powerful fist directly towards his face. But at the very last second before impact, David was suddenly pulled upward by Blue, moving him out of harm's way while he flipped his body and landed a solid kick across Darkseid's face, sending Darkseid flying away and slamming hard into Steppenwolf.
"I thought your whole thing was that you were a god of evil… but you're so weak. I don't even need to remove my blindfold for this," David said mockingly while covering his eyes with his blindfold to emphasize his point.
"You arrogant little!!!" Darkseid's roar created a massive shockwave that rippled through the air. With a single explosive step, his entire body exploded with the raw Omega effect radiating from him. He burst forward with overwhelming speed, and instantly it was like time itself slowed down dramatically as Darkseid's massive fist appeared directly before David, who was casually yawning as if bored, only for David to teleport instantly behind Darkseid's back, and he quickly moved and adjusted his position as Darkseid turned to try and hit him, but David made absolutely sure their backs remained connected and touching at all times.
"They call you a god? Well, I see why they don't call you GOD. You're so weak." David laughed with genuine amusement as he turned and moved perfectly in sync with Darkseid to ensure he remained positioned directly behind Darkseid's back where he couldn't be reached. All of the heroes who had been fighting desperately had to stop their battles along with Darkseid's elite forces, since… well, this sight they were witnessing was far too shocking and unbelievable to ignore.
"Lord Darkseid, he is buying time to recover his strength!" Granny Goodness roared out loudly, easily seeing through David's clever tactical plan. David was playing purely defensive while constantly taunting Darkseid with insults, forcing Darkseid to lose his composure and not have a clear head, making him attack wildly in blind anger rather than with strategy.
