Adris was sad. Josephine held him in her arms, rocking him as their bags were packed. Xavi guarded them both to the carriage after giving Josephine instructions to the guards about keeping the castle guarded and updates on the kingdom. Josephine had over nine million guards and fifty maids. As they all left for Noctyra, Josephine kissed Adris' forehead over and over again as Xavi held her. His powers were stronger now, which made Josephine worried about her baby. Xavi fell asleep on her body with Adris as they both slept in her arms and she too fell asleep.
After two hours, they all arrived in Noctyra and Xavi's castle. They got inside; Adris was now awake in Josephine's arms. She took him to the garden. Xavi ordered the guards to watch them and Anya was with them. She had been staying and hiding away from Haillie. Josephine had a mini picnic as Xavi and Xoni walked in.
Queen Oliyda was hugging three tall men with red and black hair, while the lady had red and blue hair.
"I missed you all," Queen Oliyda said.
"We missed you too," they said.
"Hey guys!" Xoni said, hugging her brothers and walking past her sister, who opened her arms to hug Xoni. The twins hadn't forgiven her for trying to kill them and for teaming with Velara to get pregnant for Xavi.
The boys were Kael — a full-grown werewolf that knows spells; Severin — half werewolf, half vampire like Xavi; and Darius — a vampire. Three boys and their little sister Melantha — a werewolf that knows spells too. She was broken.
Xavi tapped Xoni's shoulders and gave her a nod and she hugged Melantha, who was stunned and hugged her back.
Anesthesia walked in. "Xavi, your wife is in the sky playing with her son," she said.
As they looked at Xavi —
"You got married?" his siblings said with a surprised look.
"Yes, I did," he said as he sat on his throne. Everyone bowed.
Xavi was first born, Xoni second, Darius — 35 years old — third, Kael fourth — 32 years old, Severin fifth — 29, Melantha sixth and last born — she was 25 years old.
Josephine flew in with Adris as he was giggling loudly.
"Loop loops!!" Adris said, clapping his hands.
"Hi Papa!" he said again as he held Josephine's hand and she guided him to Xavi on the throne and placed him there.
"He is fine now, love. Stop being worried now," Xavi said softly as he kissed her hand and told her to sit on her throne. She did.
"Adris fine, Mama Adris," the little boy said.
She smiled, playing with his tiny hands with hers.
"He looks so happy and peaceful with her…" Kael said.
"Yeah, he does," Melantha said.
"Josephine is the only woman in Xavi's heart now and he loves her. She also Adris's real mother by blood," Xoni said as they looked at her.
They sat and she explained everything to her siblings.
"All this happened..?" Kael said, and she nodded to them.
"Wow, just amazing," Darius said as Xavi threw Adris in the air while they watched. Josephine smiled at them.
Xavi kissed Josephine lovingly; she pressed her forehead against his.
"I love you so much," Xavi said.
"I love you very much X," Josephine said in her mind. He heard her.
During dinner, Xavi introduced his wife to his siblings.
"Hi Mrs Josephine Xavi," they said.
She waved at them.
"Can't you speak?" Kael said, and her smile fell. She shook her head no.
"Oh… our apologies," Darius said, and she nodded.
By nightfall everyone settled in their rooms. Anya was walking down as she heard sobbing from Haillie's room. She slowly peeked at her door.
"Why can't she just love me back? NOBODY FUCKING LOVES ME!" Haillie said as she smashed the vase.
"Stop!" Anya said, holding her hands.
Haillie looked at her with teary eyes stained with mascara. Anya pulled her closer, holding her tightly.
"I love you so much, Anya. Let me love you," Haillie said, cupping her face as Anya blushed, looking at her. She kissed Haillie deeply and wrapped her arms around her. Haillie held her as Anya patted her to sleep that night.
In the morning, by 3:43 a.m., Josephine made breakfast and was a bit sick. She cleaned the whole castle. She also changed Adris' clothes after bathing him and putting him back to sleep. She stood and watched Zephyria from her orb.
"Kara…" Josephine said in her mind, and Kara appeared in the orb.
"Hi Jojo," she said through the orb.
"I don't feel so good," Josephine said in her mind.
Xavi woke up hearing her mind as he sat up, yawned, and went downstairs where she was cleaning the floor and the orb was floating.
"Did you tell Xavi about the hole in your heart due to the poison?" Kara said, and Xavi's eyes got wider.
"Hole?" he said in a whisper tone.
"I don't want him to get worried more, not everything is about me, and I don't know how to cure the hole. I took, ate the flowers over and over again but it still hurts so much. It doesn't let me sleep well sometimes," Josephine said in her mind, still cleaning the floor.
"Josephine, tell Xavi. He cares about you, and stop hiding it from him. It will hurt him more," Kara said as Xavi made a tight fist.
"I will try. I am just scared of his anger, and he just recovered from his illness," she said in her mind again, and Kara sighed.
"Jojo, tell him okay? He needs to know. Also, keep your health safe," Kara said, and Josephine blew a kiss to her, and Kara giggled.
Xavi stood as he slowly went back to his bed pretending to still be asleep as she opened the door.
"Aww, look at my baby. He looks so cute when he sleeps," Josephine said in her mind, rubbing his face softly.
"What if he gets mad at me for not telling him…" she said again in her mind, and Xavi heard her. She kissed his cheeks and went for her work.
Xavi opened his eyes and looked up.
"Josephine has a hole in her heart… she's scared of me… my anger itself," Xavi said softly.
In the morning, everybody came down for breakfast and Josephine yawned.
"Jojo, did you sleep?" Theron said, checking her, and she smiled.
As her eyes glowed black, she zoomed off to Zephyria.
Xavi came down with a heavy heart.
"What's wrong?" Xoni said, and he searched for Josephine.
"Where is Josephine? She didn't sleep well. It's bad for her health," he said.
"In Zephyria," Anesthesia said.
"Sienna, I am going to ask you this question. Don't lie to me," Xavi said as Xantha and Sienna looked at each other.
"Yes… your highness," Sienna said.
"What is wrong with my wife's health?" Xavi said.
"She… she… has a hole in her heart. The poison damaged her heart badly. It's been there for a year and a half now. I have been looking for something to heal her, me and Lyra," Sienna said nervously.
"What!" Theron and Anesthesia said.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Xoni said.
"We wanted to, but everyone was happy. Josephine wrote on a paper, said we should keep it a secret. She sometimes feels weak and gets seriously sick too," Sienna said.
Xavi covered his face with one hand.
"Mama sick…?" Adris said, holding Xoni's hand.
"Shhhh," Xoni said, holding him.
Josephine sped back. She was holding a bouquet of Xavi's favorite flowers. They all looked at her. She smiled at them and made a sign language with her hands saying, What? Why is everyone looking at me like this?
"Josephine, come here," Xavi said as she moved closer to him with a smile.
"Do you have a hole in your heart? Yes or no?" Xavi said in a worried tone.
Josephine's smile faded as she looked at everyone and Xavi.
"Josephine Xavi Roman, I ask again — do you have a hole in your heart?" Xavi said.
She bowed her head down and nodded.
Xavi cupped her face.
"Why didn't you tell me, love? You kept such a secret… seriously, Josephine," Xavi said.
She looked at him.
"Jojo, stop keeping secrets," Anesthesia said, holding her hands and hugging her. "I'll make sure to tell Tess, she will scold you," she said again.
Josephine nodded.
Xavi sat to eat; he was upset. As Josephine raised a full spoon of food to him, he looked at her and ate. No matter how much he gets angry, he must eat her food and never unleash his anger on her.
