Chapter 104 - Glaceon’s Power!

[Barry]: Could it be that Jessie and James are actually working when they try to catch Pikachu?

[Lucian]: What kind of job is that? Sign me up! I can't stand reading these League documents another day!

A moment of silence for Lucian.

As the Psychic-type Elite Four, he never imagined that he would become the chosen office worker!

In the broadcast—

Even while tracking Ash's movements, Team Rocket didn't forget their "duty" — catching Pokémon to offer to their boss.

Like now.

A group of balloon-like Pokémon floated near them.

The moment Jessie saw a species she didn't recognize, her instinct to capture kicked in.

But while normal people would throw Poké Balls…

Jessie, being Jessie, pulled out a net!

She actually tried to net the Pokémon out of the air.

Naturally, this didn't go over well.

Her reckless action enraged the Pokémon, and before long—

A swirl of psychic energy turned into a violent whirlwind, sweeping the trio away.

As always, Team Rocket's blend of stupidity and persistence was both annoying and oddly endearing.

This time, though, everyone watching agreed that they deserved their punishment.

Catching Pokémon = annoying villains.

Helping Ash = beloved heroes.

The contrast couldn't be sharper!

As the trio vanished into the sky, their trademark phrase echoed faintly:

"What a bothersome feeling~~!"

Ash blinked. "Weird… that sounded kind of familiar."

He muttered softly, but nobody paid it any attention.

Under Iris's navigation, the hot-air balloon drifted over Alamos Town, offering a panoramic view.

In the town's center stood an enormous tower.

The sight immediately caught everyone's attention.

"Wow, that's huge! It almost looks like Lumiose City's Prism Tower!" exclaimed Dawn.

Following her gaze, everyone looked at the towering structure ahead.

"That's the Space-Time Tower," Iris explained.

"It was designed a hundred years ago by the genius architect Gaudí. It's also where the Pokémon Contest Festival is held."

She pointed to the square beneath the tower, where many coordinators had already gathered.

"Amazing~!"

As one of the contestants, Dawn couldn't hide her excitement.

But while everyone else focused on the Contest or the tower itself…

Ash fixated on something else.

"A hundred years, huh…"

He began counting on his fingers, trying to figure out how long that really was.

"Ten years… then…"

"Sigh." Dawn let out a breath, smiling like an adult humoring a child. "It's ten times ten, Ash~"

The chat room exploded with laughter.

[Gary]: Hahaha! You rookie! Counting on your fingers to figure out a hundred years? My sides hurt!

[Delia]: Ash, I should've enrolled you in Professor Oak's preschool class when you were little. Maybe then Gary wouldn't tease you so much!

[Ash]: N-no! I totally know how long a hundred years is! I was just, uh, lightening the mood! Yeah! That's it!

Whether anyone believed him or not… Ash sure believed himself.

[Sabrina]: So cute~ I just want to pinch those cheeks~

[Lt. Surge]: Calm down, Sabrina! You don't want to scare him off again!

[Fantina]: Heehee, Dawn's laughter is adorable too~

Meanwhile, back in Pallet Town—

Click.

Another photo.

Cynthia had just captured a shot of Ash's blushing face.

The more she looked, the more adorable he seemed.

Beside her, Steven Stone watched with amusement.

The always-distant Ice Queen of Sinnoh was smiling — softly, fondly.

If the Sinnoh Elite Four saw this, they'd probably faint.

Cynthia's image… completely shattered!

Back to the screen—

Thanks to Ash's antics, the awkward mood left by Brock earlier had vanished.

"It looks like twin towers to me," Brock said, flipping through his travel guide. "So why is it called the Space-Time Tower?"

The audience wondered the same.

Could it really connect two dimensions?

Or did Gaudí name it after some prophetic dream?

But things were simpler than that.

"The origin of the name, huh…" Iris thought for a moment before explaining.

"It's said that the design on the right side represents time, while the one on the left represents space. But that's just my theory — Gaudí never explained it himself."

"Time and space…" Ash murmured, staring at the massive tower. Something about it made him uneasy.

Then—

"Pika?"

Pikachu's ears twitched. The flock of Pidgey following their balloon suddenly scattered, as if sensing Roarkger.

Moments later, an unseen energy swept through Alamos Town.

The air shimmered and warped, distorting the very fabric of space!

The hot-air balloon shuddered violently. Everyone grabbed the ropes in panic.

Meanwhile, inside the tower, the monitors that had once flickered long ago began to light up again—

Something had entered.

[Leon]: If I'm not mistaken, that energy pulse was residue from the two gods' battle.

[Mustard]: Spot on, little Leon! That power made even me tremble — definitely divine!

[Professor Magnolia]: They're affecting the real world from the distortion realm already? This is a massive crisis!

[Barry]: Uh-oh! Does this mean the twin gods are about to appear and destroy the tower?!

[Bruno]: Here we go! "The Battle at the Space-Time Tower!"

[Cynthia]: No, wait! The two gods — Dialga and Palkia — can't just appear so easily. Something else is wrong… I know what it is! It's—

Cynthia, as a mythologist, knew Sinnoh's legends best.

The gods of time and space couldn't simply cross over.

They dwelled in the realm formed by the collision of their dimensions — the distortion world, marked by Unown symbols.

For them to reach reality, a coordinate was needed.

A fixed anchor point in the real world.

Her eyes widened.

"The Space-Time Tower…!"

That was the anchor.

If the gods sensed it, they could break through from their realm!

And more terrifyingly — that "unknown space" might be just on the other side of Alamos Town.

Cynthia instinctively reached for her phone.

If her theory was right, the world faced annihilation.

Two gods clashing without restraint…

It wasn't just destruction. It was a virus consuming reality itself.

Because no one — no human, no Pokémon — could fight against gods.

Especially those two, the apex of creation: Dialga, the god of time, and Palkia, the god of space.

"Are you alright, Miss Cynthia?"

Lost in thought, Cynthia felt a gentle, slightly rough hand close over hers — Ash's hand.

For a moment, the great champion's mind went completely blank.

Ash was… holding her hand?

Huh?

[Caitlin]: So what was it, Cynthia?! You stopped halfway! You're killing me here!

[Barry]: Yeah! Don't just drop a bomb and go silent! Spit it out!

[Steven]: I think Cynthia's a bit… busy~

[Steven]: Heh. So sweet~

[Caitlin]: ???

[Caitlin]: Champion Steven! What are you even watching?! You're all speaking in riddles!

Steven nearly choked on his Metagross' steel claw.

Ash and Cynthia… are you two for real right now?!

But honestly — watching them together was adorable.

Back to the broadcast—

The brief turbulence didn't seem suspicious to the group.

After all, air currents in high altitudes were common.

Once things settled, Ash, Brock, and Dawn followed Iris into bustling Alamos Town.

The Pokémon Contest had drawn huge crowds, and battles broke out right on the streets.

On the way, Iris treated everyone — even Pikachu — to cotton candy from a vendor.

But in a quiet corner of the frame…

A blonde woman holding her own cotton candy brushed past them unnoticed.

Moments later, in the central plaza, Ash accidentally bumped into a Torterra.

Naturally—

"A battle!"

Ash sent out Pikachu to face the Torterra.

"Thunderbolt!"

The electricity struck true—

But Torterra, being part Ground-type, wasn't affected at all.

Immunity!

Ash didn't seem surprised though, and quickly switched tactics — ordering Iron Tail to land a clean hit and win.

At the same time, Dawn and Brock found their own opponents:

Piplup vs. Empoleon!

Croagunk vs. Infernape!

The trio clearly shared one philosophy—

"When in doubt — battle it out!"

[Bruno]: I sometimes think Ash has never read a single type chart. Using Electric moves on Ground-types? Seriously?

[Brock]: You can't blame him. When we first met, his Pikachu did knock out my Onix with Thunderbolt. I've never trusted the type chart since.

[Lance]: …You're joking. Thunderbolt defeating an Onix? That's one for the Pokémon urban legends list.

[Bruno]: You know what — fair. It's Ash. If anyone could break the laws of typing, it's him.

[Lt. Surge]: That's not fair! I've never seen any Electric-type beat a Ground-type before!

[Volkner]: Same! Where can I get one like that?!

Some still doubted.

Others had already accepted the absurdity.

It was ridiculous — but when it came to Ash, the impossible somehow became possible.

In the scene—

Before long, the battles ended, and Iris led the group to a beautiful park.

"This is my favorite place in Alamos Town," she said warmly.

Ash looked around, eyes shining. "Wow, it's amazing!"

As Iris explained, the park was another design of Gaudí — built on the idea of harmony between humans, Pokémon, and nature.

At her words, countless Pokémon appeared from every corner of the park, happily surrounding Iris.

Ash could tell — she truly loved Pokémon, just like he did.

"I grew up playing here," Iris smiled. "The Pokémon here have always been my friends."

Moved by the atmosphere, Ash, Dawn, and Brock released their own Pokémon to play.

Laughter filled the park — until Piplup discovered a berry tree.

Just as it reached for a Pecha Berry, Pachirisu darted in and snatched it.

Annoyed but forgiving, Piplup noticed there were still two left—

Only for Aipom to grab one, and a local Shinx to steal the last.

That was it. Piplup snapped.

Chasing after Shinx, the two rolled down a hill and crashed onto a seesaw, launching two startled Marill into the air.

Luckily, an Azumarill and Floatzel caught them safely.

But that was just the beginning.

The chaos spread like wildfire — attacks flying everywhere, the whole park in turmoil.

A single Pecha Berry… sparked a full-blown war!

Soon, Ash's Pokémon and the park's residents were glaring each other down, ready to brawl.

Ash shouted from a nearby ledge,

"Stop it! Don't fight!"

But his voice couldn't reach them.

Then—

A gentle melody floated through the air.

The sound of leaves whistling in the wind — soft, soothing, magical.

The Pokémon froze, their anger melting away.

The conflict ceased. Harmony returned.

[Wallace]: Such elegance! To calm quarreling Pokémon with nothing but a leaf's song — Miss Iris, you are truly a born Coordinator!

[Brock]: I agree completely. That melody was divine. If music can soothe Pokémon's hearts like that, her stage deserves to be grander.

[Iris]: Thank you both, but the credit isn't mine. The one who brought peace… was Glaceon.

[Wallace]:Glaceon? Is that the name of the song you just played?
