Sethonis was furious. He was in the process of renovating Auberdine's port, installing his newly designed crane-like loading and unloading machinery.
The fruits of his labor, which he had so painstakingly created, were destroyed by a giant wave before they could even be put into use. How could he not be angry?
He raised the Glacial Breath, and a magic circle appeared on the rooftop. A large amount of cold air surged from within the magic circle, rushing towards the giant wave. Wherever the cold air passed, the seawater instantly froze, and the giant wave transformed into a massive ice sculpture.
The Water Elementals were frozen, but even beneath the ice, they still located Sethonis.
Countless water arrows broke through the ice and shot towards Sethonis.
Sethonis didn't even glance at them, instead plunging the Glacial Breath into the center of the magic circle. The cold air continued to surge towards the giant wave, freezing the water arrows in mid-air.
He took out a triangular magnet and teleported it beneath the giant ice block of the wave. The triangular magnet flickered with electricity, piercing through the ice until it reached the frozen loading and unloading machinery below.
The triangular magnet attached to the machinery, and it was instantly activated. Its crane arm began to rotate, and the immense kinetic energy shattered the ice. The two side supports transformed into two giant legs, struggling to step out of the icy ruins, then swung the crane arm, smashing all the surrounding ice sculptures into ice shards.
The Water Elementals were stunned at the sudden appearance of the giant monster.
The Kaldorei in the high tower were also taken aback, then they made a decisive move, "Assist the Golem in its attack."
That magnet was an action-type Golem created by Sethonis, capable of temporarily transforming large machinery into Golems. Before its energy depleted, it could replenish the Golem's body through its magnetic properties.
The giant Golem took a step and arrived near several other pieces of machinery, pulling them out of the ice and attaching them to its body. After replenishing its body, the Golem gained several arms, greatly increasing its attack power.
Using the Golem to divert the Water Elementals' attention, Sethonis began to cast spells, rescuing the Elves from the water.
The Mages in the city had already begun rescue efforts, but Auberdine was, after all, a remote area with not many powerful Mages. If Sethonis hadn't brought some disciples, Auberdine might not even have had an Archmage.
Under the Mages' rescue, most of the Elves were saved. Although the Mages were quick enough, many Elves still perished.
The giant wave came too quickly, almost instantly destroying Auberdine, and most of the unprepared Elves perished. This was, after all, a world of magic; with preparation, Elves were not easily killed.
Looking at the bodies on the rooftop, Sethonis's anger was unbearable.
He took out another action-type Golem and infused it with mana. The triangular magnet erupted with a powerful magnetic field, attracting all surrounding metal, including the Elves' weapons.
The Elves opened their mouths, wanting to speak but holding back. Those weapons were not standard issue from the empire; they were high-quality items they had purchased themselves.
Many Elves would spend years of accumulated wealth to buy a good weapon. Now they had all been sucked away by Sethonis, and their hearts ached terribly.
However, at such a critical moment, let alone weapons, even if it meant all their possessions, as long as it saved their lives, it was worth it.
Weapons, armor, machinery, and other metal objects quickly linked together tightly, forming a colossal Golem.
Sethonis controlled the triangular magnet, positioned within the Golem, manipulating its movements.
The Golem stepped over the giant ice sculpture of the wave, and when its foot landed, it shattered the nearby Water Elementals' ice sculptures. With another stride, it reached the high tower, using its steel body to block the Water Elementals' attacks.
"Charge me!"
Sethonis shouted loudly, and the Mages in the high tower immediately poured energy into the energy pool behind the Golem.
The energy pool quickly filled, and Sethonis manipulated the Golem to charge towards the Water Elementals. Taking a few steps, it covered hundreds of yards, and the Golem, enduring the Water Elementals' attacks, reached the center of the Water Elementals.
"Buzz—"
Amidst the sound of electricity, an electric net spread out, covering an area of several hundred yards around. The electric net destroyed the stability of the Water Elementals, directly disintegrating them.
After clearing one area, Sethonis immediately rushed to the next. The electric net reappeared, clearing another group of Water Elementals.
Hydross watched the giant Golem slaughtering the Water Elementals, greatly displeased. He emerged from the sea, moving towards the Golem.
He was not of the same temperament as the cunning Neptulon; he was more volatile and preferred to confront things head-on.
Upon approaching the Golem, Hydross summoned a whirlpool, intending to trap the Golem.
However, Sethonis immediately summoned the Glacial Breath, freezing the whirlpool. The Golem stepped forward, shattering the frozen whirlpool, then charged towards Hydross.
Hydross met him, raising his fist and smashing it towards the Golem.
The Golem also attacked Hydross, and the two clashed, back and forth, unable to determine a victor for a while.
Sethonis activated the electric net again, and the electric net disintegrated Hydross's lower body, but Hydross, relying on neptulons essence, immediately reformed his lower body.
Hydross also retaliated, summoning towering giant waves that scattered the Golem's parts. Sethonis immediately infused mana into the triangular magnet, reassembling the parts.
While the battle raged, a clue was discovered atop the high tower.
"Everyone, that tall Water Elemental seems to be the strongest."
"I think it's time to activate the beacon crystal."
The Mages all agreed. They tied a beacon crystal to a Sea Monster Killer, instructing a Sentry Shooter to shoot it into Hydross's body.
The Sentry Shooter did not fail its mission and quickly adjusted its angle.
The Sea Monster Killer transformed into a shooting star, piercing into Hydross's body. Hydross was not an ordinary Water Elemental; the Sea Monster Killer's damage caused him no trouble. Precisely because of this, Hydross didn't pay too much attention.
Just as he was unconcerned, a crystal fell into the seawater and began to glow.
Sethonis noticed it and immediately controlled the Golem to take a step back.
Hydross thought the Golem wanted to escape and immediately pursued it.
However, a Rainbow Bridge descended from the sky, passing through his body. The powerful energy of the Rainbow Bridge directly destroyed Hydross's body, turning him into a puddle of water that fell into the sea.
The Rainbow Bridge vanished, and Gale floated in mid-air, holding neptulons essence in his hand.
He raised the trident of the tides and cast it into the water.
A ripple spread through the sea, and all the Water Elementals paused. They stopped their attack and surged towards Gale.
Gale retrieved the trident of the tides and said coldly, "All Water Elementals, return to the Water Elemental Plane."
The Water Elementals immediately returned to the portal in the sea, and Gale rushed over, following them into the Water Elemental Plane.
