Chapter 257 - Chapter 257: Cataclysm

In Deepholm, General Vezax killed all the Earth Elements that dared to approach him.

He looked deeply at the Earth Mother in the distance, "After so many years, still not giving up?"

Therazane roared in anger, "Faceless One, get out of Deepholm, this is not where you belong."

General Vezax spread his hands, 'Do you think I want to be here?'

He was banished here by Gale, and if he hadn't sensed that Yogg-Saron was still alive, he wouldn't have bothered to negotiate with these Earth Elements.

"Therazane, it seems you have forgotten the glory of the Dark Empire."

"That is your glory, not the glory of us who were enslaved."

Before the Titans arrived in Azeroth, the entire planet was occupied by the Old Gods. They established a powerful Dark Empire, and all four elements had to submit to them.

General Vezax: "Return to the embrace of the Old Gods, and you will have the chance to relive the glory of the Dark Empire."

Therazane gritted her teeth, "Kill it!"

The Earth Elements immediately attacked General Vezax, not even looking at the shattered stones beneath his feet. Those were the bodies of Earth Elements, and many were even their former bodies.

General Vezax didn't care, killing every Earth Element that dared to approach him.

The Earth Elements attacking this time were different from before; they were mostly High Earth Elements—Crystal Beasts. They were Therazane's kin and her personal guard.

Leading the attack was Mahat the Fearless, whose body was covered in large clusters of green crystals, making him look incredibly powerful.

However, in General Vezax's eyes, he was not worth mentioning.

"You still dare to face me? Mahat, it seems countless deaths before haven't taught you a lesson."

As Yogg-Saron's top general, General Vezax was extremely powerful during the Dark Empire era. Only the four Elemental Lords could make him wary; all other elements were his defeated foes.

Therazane was also hesitant; she didn't know how General Vezax entered Deepholm and feared it was a conspiracy by Yogg-Saron, so she didn't dare to act personally.

Therefore, this war had remained undecided.

As the battle raged, a loud bang suddenly erupted above Deepholm. A huge dark shadow broke through the sealed barrier and landed on top of the Temple of Earth. Its blood-red eyes looked down at the battlefield below, and lava continuously dripped from its body.

"Roar—"

Therazane looked in horror at the giant dragon covered in lava, "Neltharion?"

"No! He is now called Deathwing!"

General Vezax swept aside the obstructing Earth Elements and strode towards the Temple of Earth.

"In the name of Yogg-Saron, Deathwing, you are now under my command; eliminate these Earth Elements."

He had previously been wary of Therazane's strength, but with Deathwing's help, he could definitely defeat Therazane.

Deathwing tilted his head, "Are you... commanding... me?"

General Vezax said forcefully, "Do you intend to defy Yogg-Saron's command?"

"Hoo—"

Deathwing suddenly swooped down from the Temple of Earth, pinning General Vezax to the ground with one claw. His huge head came close to him, "Yogg-Saron? Let him come and speak to me himself."

With that, Deathwing opened his maw and swallowed General Vezax. After devouring General Vezax, Deathwing's power increased to another level, and the powerful Shadow Power temporarily suppressed the lava.

He looked at Therazane, "Provide me with metal, otherwise, I will destroy this place."

"Arrogant!"

Mahat the Fearless angrily led the Earth Elements to charge at Deathwing. Deathwing smiled disdainfully, and a single breath of dragonfire incinerated them all.

The Earth Elements were terrified and dared not advance, and Therazane was also filled with dread. The power Deathwing displayed far surpassed hers.

"What kind of metal do you want?"

"The best!"

With that, Deathwing flapped his wings and flew off to find a suitable location.

His body was on the verge of collapsing and could only be stabilized with external materials to prevent disintegration. The best external material in the elemental plane was the metal of Deepholm.

The best metal in Deepholm was source ingot, so Therazane had a large quantity of source ingot sent over. Some Earth Elements were left behind by Deathwing to help him forge armor plates.

The Earth Elements were not skilled in forging, so it took them nearly twenty years to forge enough armor plates. Then, it took a few more years to install the armor plates onto Deathwing's body.

When the last armor plate was installed, Deathwing felt his power had significantly increased.

He unleashed the power of lava, instantly igniting a raging inferno. Flapping his wings, flames shot out in all directions, burning the Earth Elements to ashes.

"Roar—"

Deathwing roared excitedly, crashing through the World Pillar and returning to the real plane.

"The world trembles before me, and pitiful kingdoms crumble in my wrath..."

He shot up from The Maelstrom, stirring up colossal waves that submerged the islands near The Maelstrom.

"Ultimately, all of Azeroth will be destroyed!!!"

He traced an arc to the east, leaving devastation in his wake.

"In the shadow of my wings, all things turn to ash!!!"

His shadow enveloped Suramar Port, then he swooped down from the sky, landing on the city wall of Nordrassil. His sharp claws dug deep into the stone, and lava flowed down the battlements.

"Roar—"

The Kaldorei fled in terror, and Nordrassil's garrison quickly arrived.

Nodradis led the Storm Dragons into the sky, charging towards Deathwing. They continuously attacked Deathwing with lightning, trying to lure him away.

But Deathwing merely flickered his wings slightly, and raging flames engulfed them, forcing them to keep their distance.

"Clang!"

A loud bang echoed above Nordrassil, and the flames in the sky instantly vanished without a trace.

Deathwing looked towards the direction of the royal palace, only to see Gale stepping out, holding the eternal spear.

"Gale..."

"Deathwing..."

Gale was very surprised; hadn't he banished Deathwing? How had he returned to the real world so quickly? And in his ultimate form? Without the Drogbar and goblins, how had he forged the source ingot armor?

Axi and Irene peeked out from the royal palace, curiously looking at the colossal creature in the sky.

Maiev quickly pulled the two of them back, "Don't be mischievous."

Nordrassil walked over and stood beside Gale: "Father, I will fight alongside you."

Gale thought for a moment, then handed Aggramar's Shield to him, "Be careful."

Nordrassil said confidently, "I've already challenged Deathwing in the academy's simulation room."

Gale's mouth twitched speechlessly; the simulation room hadn't even simulated one percent of Deathwing. Just as he was about to remind him, Nordrassil had already run towards the city wall.
