Chapter 178 - Chapter 178 Rainbow Bridge

Malfurion continuously cast Nature spells, strangling demons one by one.

He desperately wanted to enter Sin'dorei to rescue his beloved.

However, there were simply too many demons; although the allied forces were steadily advancing, every step forward was extremely difficult.

Powerful demons were countless, especially those demon Mages, who would unleash Hellfire and rain of fire at the slightest provocation.

Without Gale's Aggramar's Shield and Antaria's protective Mage team, the allied forces would probably have suffered more than half their numbers.

Even so, the allied forces suffered heavy casualties, with at least two-tenths of their combat personnel incapacitated.

The only silver lining was that Gale had the Red Dragons and Druids act as a rescue team, ensuring the allied soldiers received timely aid and keeping the death rate low.

However, Malfurion was burning with anxiety.

Every minute of delay meant another minute of danger for Tyrande.

Just then, Malfurion suddenly felt someone approaching in the shadows.

He immediately gathered Nature energy and aimed it at the hidden enemy.

"Wait!"

Illidan Stormrage dispelled his Stealth spell and stopped Malfurion's attack, "Brother, do you want to kill me?"

"Illidan Stormrage?" Malfurion looked at him in surprise, "What happened to your eyes?"

Illidan Stormrage spread his hands, "I'm fine, and I bring greetings from Tyrande."

"Tyrande? She's alive?"

Malfurion said excitedly, "That's wonderful! Elune be praised."

"Indeed, Elune be praised!" Illidan Stormrage said mockingly, "If Elune hadn't cast a divine spell, Tyrande would probably have died at the hands of Azshara and Savis."

Malfurion was furious upon hearing that Tyrande had been in danger.

"Illidan Stormrage, what happened?"

Illidan Stormrage: "Azshara wanted to persuade Tyrande to surrender, and when she failed, she tried to kill Tyrande.

Fortunately, Elune cast a divine spell to protect Tyrande.

Azshara couldn't break the spell, so she handed Tyrande over to Savis.

Savis tried to attack the divine spell, and after failing to break it, he insulted Tyrande..."

"Savis, you deserve to die!"

Malfurion's hair stood on end with rage.

He could understand wanting to kill Tyrande in a war, but insulting her was an immoral act.

That despicable Savis was absolutely unforgivable.

"Savis is mine, Malfurion!"

Gale appeared beside the two brothers and spoke to Malfurion with a serious expression.

Malfurion glanced at him but said nothing.

He did not recognize Gale's kingship, which was related to the path of the Druids.

He believed that the demons' arrival was due to the Mages' abuse of Arcane.

In this regard, Gale was not much better than Azshara.

He believed that the use of Arcane should be forbidden, as it was a dangerous energy.

Gale scoffed at this notion.

Any energy was dangerous, and Nature energy was no better.

Throughout the history of Azeroth, disasters caused by Nature energy were far more numerous than those caused by Arcane.

The roots of Vordrassil had pierced into Yogg-Saron's cage, Shaladrassil's suppression of the Satyr had created the Nightmare King, Fandral Staghelm had corrupted Teldrassil, and finally led to the Fire Elementals attacking Mount Hyjal.

The Worgen, the Emerald Dream, the four Green Dragons, and Ysera's death could all ultimately be attributed to Nature.

Their philosophies clashed, and neither could convince the other.

However, for the sake of the allied forces' unity, neither of them openly challenged the other.

But after defeating the Burning Legion, there would certainly be a political showdown.

Illidan Stormrage noticed the subtle tension between the two and spoke, "Savis isn't important.

What's important is that the Sisterhood has decided to raid the city gate and let the resistance into the city."

Gale looked towards Sin'dorei, where a massive energy shield covered the Eternal Palace.

If it weren't for this energy shield, which blocked teleportation spells, he would have already teleported all the allied forces near the Well of Eternity.

"Illidan Stormrage, since you came out of the city, do you know how to break that energy shield?"

Illidan Stormrage tilted his head and glanced at it, "Of course, this energy shield is supported by a huge Arcane-suppressing crystal, which creates an Arcane-suppressing zone near the Well of Eternity."

"Arcane-suppressing zone? No wonder!"

Gale suddenly understood.

He knew the spatial beacon of the Well of Eternity but couldn't teleport into the energy shield, which completely defied the laws of magic.

If it was an Arcane-suppressing zone, then it made sense.

He looked at Illidan Stormrage, "Go back and tell the Sisterhood not to act rashly.

Then find a way to destroy the Arcane-suppressing crystal, and I can teleport the allied forces inside."

Illidan Stormrage looked at Gale in confusion, "The allied forces number tens of thousands; how will you teleport them in?"

"I have a way, trust me."

Malfurion nodded and said, "Illidan Stormrage, listen to him.

As long as you can destroy the Arcane-suppressing crystal, Tyrande won't have to take risks."

"Alright!"

Although Illidan Stormrage didn't fully trust Gale, as long as it could prevent Tyrande from risking herself, he was willing to try.

With that, he once again used his Stealth magic, traversed the entire battlefield, and returned to Sin'dorei.

Immediately upon entering, the sound of battle erupted from the direction of the Temple of the Moon.

Illidan Stormrage's heart was anxious, and he quickly Stealthed towards the Arcane-suppressing crystal.

It was too late to inform Tyrande; he could only hope that what Gale said was true.

With unrest breaking out within the city, the demons had no choice but to divide their forces to suppress it.

Because the Arcane-suppressing zone had always been safe, the demons had relocated many personnel from there, which gave Illidan Stormrage an opportunity to approach the Arcane-suppressing crystal.

Upon reaching the Arcane-suppressing crystal, Illidan Stormrage disregarded his own safety, swung his Twin Blades of Azzinoth, and severed it with a single strike.

"Who's there?" the demons exclaimed, rushing towards Illidan Stormrage.

Some demons who recognized Illidan Stormrage shouted angrily, "You traitor, the master should never have trusted you."

Illidan Stormrage sneered.

His allegiance to the Burning Legion was solely to deliver a fatal blow to the Legion at a crucial moment.

Now he had to expose himself for Tyrande, but he would never fear these demons.

He charged at the demons, his Twin Blades of Azzinoth continuously swinging, beheading the demons one by one.

But his heart wasn't truly there; he kept looking towards outside the city.

Why hadn't Gale made a move yet?

Another group of demons charged over.

Illidan Stormrage fought and retreated, his heart filled with disappointment: it seemed Gale and Malfurion had deceived him.

Just as he was thinking this, a Rainbow suddenly rose from outside the city.

The Rainbow arced across the sky and descended before him.

Malfurion, accompanied by Cenarius's students, appeared before Illidan Stormrage, summoning roots to strangle this group of demons.

Illidan Stormrage looked at his brother in astonishment, "How did you... get in?"

What exactly was that Rainbow? Did it have the function of teleportation?

Malfurion didn't know much about the Rainbow Bridge either, only saying, "This is Gale's spell, called the Rainbow Bridge."

Rainbow Bridge? A new teleportation spell?

Illidan Stormrage looked towards the city, where one Rainbow after another was rising.
