Jay opens his eyes under the starry night on the cold ground.
He stared at the vast and endless night sky filled with an uncountable amount of glimmering stars.
He stretches and yawns as he pushes himself up to sit straight up and take in the unfamiliar surroundings in a daze.
He notices something odd about the sky.
It reminds him of the scene he used to watch from the broken window of his exam hall.
As he kept on staring in the sky, a figure appeared in his field of vision looking down at him.
The sudden appearance of this person startled Jay and brought him out of his dazed state.
"Hello, human, I guess. Are you alright?" The stranger asks Jay with a warm and cheerful smile as Jay sees his appearance more clearly.
The stranger had long and slightly curly white hair, pointy ears, and pale skin and was wearing a dress that reminded Jay of old Asian dresses whose name he couldn't remember.
Finally, after coming to his senses, he notices his surroundings that he doesn't recognize.
He was in a vast plain with nothing but big and small dark-colored rocks sticking out of the ground and some mountains of the same color at a distance of a couple of kilometers.
Jay stands up and takes two steps back as confusion and unease start to build in his mind; at that moment he hears the stranger again.
"Are you alright? You look very uneasy," the stranger asked calmly.
Look at the stranger, calm and seemingly helping Daminner Jay calm down, and ask cautiously,
"Uhh… Yes, I… I am fine… Can you tell me where this place is?"
The stranger takes a deep breath and calmly starts by introducing himself.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jonathan. I am a temporary resident of the town nearby. I was collecting some…uhh…rocks, you can say, when I saw you lying on the ground."
"You are, uhh…on a big rock that is floating in the space; you have fallen here from that crack in the sky."
"Huh…what are you talking about?" Jay asks in confusion, as he can't understand what the strange man was talking about.
Jonathan calmly points. He fingers upward and says, "Look up once again and you'll get the gist of it."
When Jay heard this, he got uncertain and more uneasy; he did not move for a couple of seconds before he slowly moved his head upward.
The sight in front of him was simply too unrealistic to understand immediately; there was a massive, colorless crack in the beautiful sky.
Looking at this scene reminded him of his broken window principle because looking at the sky was similar to if there was a massive block of crystal-clear 3D cracked glass placed between him and the sky.
He looks at Jonathan and asks after a couple of seconds, in an unsteady and panicky but low voice, "W-what…what is that…"
"Calm down, calm down, listen, don't worry, this is not the end of the world, nor is the sky or monster going out of the sky… Well, I am sure about the sky."
"Look, my friend, I don't know where you are from, but you are far from your home world… I know it sounds crazy, but you are in a, uhh… different world."
