"Teacher, I'm telling the truth! Just check Cecilia's car and you'll see," Blair said, her voice full of grievance.
Cecilia remained silent, head lowered, not responding to Blaze's questioning. How could she possibly explain the ring situation? Blair had claimed it was a couple's set for her and Blaze, and that Cecilia was merely a third party.
"Take me to see it," Ivanka nodded, giving Cecilia a meaningful look.
Caught red-handed, Cecilia had no room to defend herself this time.
"Mother, isn't this a bit inappropriate?" Blaze interjected, trying to defuse the situation before addressing Cecilia's own matters.
Ivanka waved him off. "What's the harm in looking? If she hasn't done it, I won't be wronging her."
"Let's go check. If it isn't mine, you must apologize to me," Cecilia said calmly, her tone neither humble nor arrogant. From start to finish, she had never touched that bracelet; there was nothing to fear, and in fact, she didn't even know what it looked like.
