The moment I, Seth Conners, was born, life has been a vain concept to me. I was always a corner away from death. When I was 3 years old, a bookshelf almost fell on me.
Not even two years later, when my mom and I went to the bank, a bunch of men with guns ran in. Luckily, the police arrived in time and stopped them.
Three years after that, my dad died at the hands of a man who holds a grudge against his company. 3 months later, my mom died of heart failure.
By the time my foster family took me in, I was already 12 years old. But when I was in their house, they were not as nice as they seemed. The only reason they took me in was for the money.
That lasted until I was 16, when I got hit by a Truck while walking home after being beaten up by the school bullies.
As I slowly bled out, I mentally wished.
'If I get reborn, I just hope I can live a better, more fulfilling life.'
As my vision blurred and faded, I heard a voice.
"I'm Sorry, My Child..."
The next thing I knew, I was in a plane of pure darkness. Standing before me was a pure white Entity with a featureless humanoid body.
"Huh? I thought I died!" I said while noticing the Entity before me. "Well, technically, you did. I apologise for that, as that was a mistake on my part. I accidentally placed your soul into the wrong world's cycle of reincarnation, so the will of the world targeted you to eject you. I'm sorry!"
"Oh, does that mean I get another chance?" The Entity nodded and said. "Yes, and as an apology, I will give you Karmic Points equal to your misfortune, which totals to 10,000 KP!"
Then I asked, "What can I do with that? Also, can I choose a world to reincarnate into?"
"You can ask for anything you wish that is within that point range, and yes, you can. So, what do you want first?"
"Can I have Infinite Mana, as well as the ability to hide that power?"
The Entity thought for a moment and said. "Ok, that will be 2,500 KP altogether. What's next?"
"I would like the ability to create monsters. Also, can I make them Humanoid?"
"Hmm, that's fine, you now have 6,000 KP." I then proceeded to think about other Abilities to get, and once I got an Idea, I spoke.
"I want a multiverse travel ability."
"Done, you have 5,000 KP left remaining." The Entity instantly responded.
"I also want to have no limit to growth, along with a quick learning speed."
"Ok, 3,000 KP left."
"Lastly, I want the skill [Weaving] that 'Frondier De Roach' has from 'The Academy's Weapon Replicator'!"
"Perfect, you used all of your KP, now what world do you want to go to first?" The Entity asked after clapping his hands. "You know what, just enter your world and I'll use the system to find it."
Then a Screen with a search bar at the top appeared within my view, so I proceeded to search for the world of 'Rising of the Shield Hero'.
"Ok, now how do you want to enter and at what time?"
"I want to be reincarnated as the son of the King and Queen of Melromarc, 12 years before canon." That's when the Entity said, "Very well, good luck."
Then everything faded to darkness.
