Kuro told the high priestess and her eyes narrowed.
She seemed to be trying to find lies in Kuro's words but found none. After all, what Kuro had said was the truth… if only regarding himself.

The high priestess extended her hand and Kuro placed his own in hers and was tugged over to the pedestal.
I was left behind and the look Kuro gave me told me that I should stay close to him at all costs.
