Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – “After the Bell”

Scene 1 – Claws at Home

Claws arrives home, tosses his backpack onto the sofa, and finds his father in the room, tired after a long day at work.

Claws's Dad:

— "Good evening, son. How was school?"

Claws:

— "Normal… fights, group work, the usual stuff."

His dad sighs and pats him on the back.

Claws looks at his father's calloused hands and thinks: "I have to stay strong. If I falter, who's going to hold things together?"

---

Scene 2 – Rafaela and the Drawings

Rafaela locks herself in her room. The walls are covered with drawings taped up.

She picks up her notebook, continues the caricature she started at school, and laughs to herself.

Rafaela (thinking):

— "They don't understand, but this is how I speak to the world."

Her phone pings with messages from friends asking her to go out.

She ignores them, preferring to keep drawing.

---

Scene 3 – Lucas, the Household Helper

In the kitchen, Lucas helps his mom set the table.

His little sister runs to him.

Little Sister:

— "Luuuucas, help me with my homework!"

Lucas (laughing):

— "Okay, calm down. Dinner first."

He divides his time between helping his sister with her studies and assisting his mom.

When he finally sits alone, he thinks: "Does anyone at school realize how much I run around at home?"

---

Scene 4 – Diego and the Silence

Diego arrives home whistling, but the sound fades.

The apartment is almost empty.

He turns on the TV, but no one responds to his "I'm home."

Diego (thinking):

— "Better to laugh at life than feel this emptiness every day."

He grabs his phone, sends memes to the school group chat, pretending everything's fine.

---

Scene 5 – Mateus and the Conflicts

Mateus storms into his room, kicking the door.

His dad shouts from the living room:

Mateus's Dad:

— "Hey! You're gonna break the house, kid!"

Mateus (shouting back):

— "Better break the house than me!"

He flops onto the bed, frustrated.

On the shelf, dusty sports championship medals glint in the dim light.

Mateus stares at the medals and murmurs:

Mateus:

— "It used to be simpler… now everything's a war."

---

Scene 6 – Isa, the Refuge

Isa arrives home and is greeted by her elderly grandmother, who hugs her tightly.

Grandma:

— "How was school, my flower?"

Isa (smiling faintly):

— "It was… different."

In her room, Isa opens her notebook and writes in tiny letters:

"Today I spoke. And they listened."

She closes the notebook carefully, as if guarding a treasure.

Final Scene

As night falls over the city, each of the six faces their own life.

Distant, different… yet connected by the same invisible thread that began at Aurora School.

End of Chapter 6.
