Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 – “The Festival”

The sun shone over Aurora School. Colorful banners hung along the hallways, announcing the School Festival, the most anticipated event of the semester. Food stalls, games, cultural performances — all prepared by the students themselves.

Claws, arms crossed, observed the commotion.

— "This looks more like organized chaos than a festival."

Rafaela, excited, was bouncing on her feet.

— "Organized chaos is what makes it fun! Imagine us competing together?"

Isa, clutching her notebook to her chest, smiled shyly.

— "I… I've never participated in something like this. I only watched from afar in previous years."

Mateus tossed a soccer ball in the air, already in competition mode.

— "Relax, Isa. This is the time to shine. Everyone shows what they're best at."

Diego, biting into a skewer without knowing which stall it came from, laughed.

— "My best skill? Eating and teasing everyone. I'm already at the top."

Lucas, adjusting his glasses, scanned the list of activities.

— "There's a sports tournament, talent contest, cultural quiz… I think we can split up and—"

Suddenly, the group's light laughter was cut short. Near one of the stalls, a first-year student was cornered by three upperclassmen, pushed against the wall. Their taunts were low, but cruel.

Isa's eyes widened.

— "They're…"

Claws clenched his fist.

— "Bullying."

Mateus stepped forward, but Claws held him back.

— "This isn't about running in and hitting. First, we observe and understand."

Meanwhile, Rafaela bit her lip, torn between running to help or waiting. Diego, serious for the first time, muttered:

— "Festival or not, this ruins any atmosphere."

Lucas took a deep breath, already calculating the consequences.

— "If we act without thinking, it turns into bigger chaos. But if we ignore it, it's like we're condoning it."

Claws looked at everyone, determined.

— "Then we do it our way. Show that this festival is about unity, not humiliation."

The group approached, each with their personality in play: Rafaela, smiling but determined; Isa, finding courage; Mateus, ready to intervene; Diego, prepared to throw a sarcastic remark; Lucas, planning the approach…

The festival gained new colors: not just those of the stalls and music, but of the choices each of them would make in the face of injustice.
