"Recharge 30,000 Spirit Stones, bonus 3,000 Spirit Stones included!"
"Mysterious gift has been delivered!"
The message flashed across his interface.
Silas Frost ignored the mysterious gift for the moment and focused instead on the card draw screen.
33,200 Spirit Stones.
This was the peak of his fortune so far.
"At 980 per ten-pull, I can do thirty-three advanced draws in one go! Even if my luck is garbage, I should at least pull seven or eight gold cards. I don't believe it come on!"
He slammed the confirmation.
Golden cards scattered through the air like shooting stars. Ten stopped mid-spin, their edges glowing as they revealed their colors: one gold, one purple, eight blue.
Silas's eyes locked instantly onto the golden card.
"Hyorinmaru fragment (Gold) ×20."
His mouth twitched. A Zanpakutō fragment. Not a full card just a piece.
"Damn it…"
He hit the button again. Another ten-pull.
Cards flared. This time, two gold lights shone.
"Mountain Ruler (Gold). Nimbus Cloud fragment (Gold) ×20."
Silas's spirits lifted slightly. One weapon, one fragment. At least something useful.
Equipping Mountain Ruler, he felt his attributes surge again.
But the momentum didn't last.
Pull after pull followed, and his haul sank into a swamp of fragments.
Weapons and characters he couldn't complete. Pieces scattered across countless sets. Completely unusable.
By the twenty-second ten-pull, he got three golden flashes only to see three Experience Cards pop up.
Silas nearly lost it. His face went pale as if the system itself had sucker-punched him.
Slamming the desk, he forced himself to breathe. Then he stood, stalked into the bathroom, splashed his face with cold water again and again, even washed his hands dozens of times to "reset" his luck.
Finally, he sat back down.
"One more shot…"
He pressed the button.
Cards spun. His heart pounded.
When they stopped, only one golden card glimmered among the blues.
Silas let out a helpless sigh. Twenty-some draws, and not a single glimpse of red. Not even the shadow of one.
Feeling utterly drained, he simply pulled all the remaining cards at once, confirmed them all in a rush, and slotted them into his deck.
Then he flipped the next ten-pull.
And froze.
Ten dazzling red lights erupted at once, painting the screen crimson.
Silas Frost's jaw dropped.
"Escanor (Red) ×10. Red Wolf (Red) ×10. Red Wolf (Red) ×10. Philosopher's Stone (Red) ×10. Hōgyoku (Collapse Jade) (Red) ×10. Red Wolf (Red) ×10. Meliodas (Red) ×10. Beerus (Red) ×10. GOD (Red) ×10. Philosopher's Stone (Red) ×10."
The flood of legendary fragments left him stunned, his eyes wide as if he'd just glimpsed heaven itself.
Quickly, he opened his backpack and dug through his inventory. His heart sank the moment he counted.
"…Damn it."
He already had 40 Red Wolf fragments. With this draw, he was now sitting at 50. Just 10 fragments short of completing a full red-tier card.
Red Wolf just one strike from that beast was said to shatter armies. If not for "scripted deaths" dragging it down in its original story, a single blow could annihilate a small nation.
The thought of equipping that kind of power made Silas's blood race.
But for now, all he could do was store the fragments away and gnash his teeth in regret.
"Just ten more… ten more, and I'd have it."
Closing his bag with a sigh, he turned his gaze back to the remaining golden cards.
"Not bad. A decent pull."
"Two full cards among the fragments… I'll take it as a consolation prize."
Silas Frost's mood lifted slightly as he examined the results.
The first card caught him completely off guard Shokugeki no Soma: Yukihira Soma, the Gourmet King.
Silas nearly choked. "Seriously?!"
A cooking card. Even if equipped, it didn't boost his stats at all. In fact, it wasn't even as useful as a lowly white Casa Blanca card.
Still, he decided to keep it.
Well… if I accept Soma, I might actually become a decent chef. And there are always those kitchen assistant or restaurant delivery commissions. With Mountain Ruler and this card, I could take those too.
The second card, however, made his eyes blaze with excitement.
Fourth Hokage Namikaze Minato, the Golden Flash!
The golden-haired man on the card radiated power. Without hesitation, Silas slammed it into a card slot, instantly replacing Iruka's card.
At the same time, he equipped the rest of his new haul: purples, blues, and greens. When the glow finally settled, his card deck shone brilliantly.
Name: Silas Frost
Level: 1
Body: 6 + (184)
Strength: 8 + (173)
Agility: 7 + (201)
Skill: Magic Absorption
Equipment: Snow Walk
Card Slots: Inuyasha (Gold), Namikaze Minato (Gold), Edward Elric (Gold), Mountain Ruler (Gold), Sonic (Purple), Elizabeth (Purple)
Silas nearly trembled as he looked over the stats.
Even now, he knew that Erza's physical strength and agility were hovering somewhere around 100. Enough to make her like a humanoid Tyrannosaurus.
By pure attributes alone, Silas was already beyond her.
Of course, numbers weren't everything. Real battles depended on skill, experience, and magic compatibility. But it didn't matter.
Silas grinned.
I can already rival lightning itself.
But then, another notification flashed open
"Congratulations! You have obtained: Card Advancement Weapon Ten Purple Empty Cards."
Silas blinked at the strange message, tilting his head.
"…What the hell is this supposed to be?"
After studying it carefully, Silas Frost quickly grasped the function of the new Card Advancement Tool.
Put simply, it was a fusion system.
Five cards of the same rank could be combined to produce a completely new card of that rank. Ten cards of the same rank could be sacrificed to create one card of the next tier up.
The ten blank purple cards he'd just received were the perfect example.
He placed them into the array, activated the tool, and watched as the cards shattered into streams of violet light. The lights merged at the center, and when they finally condensed
A golden card emerged.
"Weather Staff (Gold)."
Silas sighed. "Not for me…"
Still, the discovery thrilled him. All the useless cards he'd been cursing before suddenly had value.
"This is perfect."
Experimenting further, he quickly fused away the pile of green and blue cards in his collection. Piece by piece, they transformed into purples. Then, by feeding purples into the system, he squeezed out new golds.
When the light faded, only three golden cards remained in his hand.
Two were character cards from mundane, everyday stories barely adding a few attribute points. He tossed them aside without hesitation, already planning to use them as fodder.
But the third…
Silas's breath caught as he pulled it free.
It wasn't a character at all. It was a weapon.
From his backpack space materialized a blade, the steel humming with a cold so sharp it made the air shimmer. A curved katana, its edge glowing faintly blue.
Hitsugaya Tōshirō's Zanpakutō Hyōrinmaru.
The strongest ice-type weapon in the Soul Society.
Even sealed, the blade radiated waves of frost, chilling the air around it.
Silas ran his fingers along the hilt, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
"With this… I won't need another weapon for a long time."
Hyōrinmaru wasn't just a sword. With a sweep, it could freeze moisture in the air into colossal ice dragons, bend the weather itself, and unleash devastating ice storms. Wide-area annihilation, battlefield control everything a mage could dream of.
Who wouldn't want a blade like this?
Silas grinned, holding the icy katana aloft as frost spiraled outward.
