Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Beginning Preparations

"He has many appellations in the astral world. What I mentioned before was only part of it. For you, you can address Him as 'God of Mirrors.'

This deity's favored flower is madder, and the symbolic gem is pure diamond. When holding rituals, you can use fragrant dew combined from agave grass and pure water to please Him.

If you encounter danger, you can also try praying to Him. Perhaps you'll receive a response."

After listening to Nimrod's description, Dorian Gray nodded and then asked:

"If the method really works, how should I contact you? By messenger?"

"No need for such trouble. When you confirm this method's effectiveness and gather family members, just activate this charm."

Speaking, Nimrod looked at the pen in his hand with an apologetic tone:

"Might have to waste one of Uncle Dorian's pens."

As his words fell, under Dorian Gray's surprised gaze, the pen suddenly shattered into fine silver radiance, then reorganized into a coin-sized charm flickering with brilliant starlight.

"Hope you won't make me wait too long."

Placing the charm flickering with brilliant starlight on the desk, Nimrod made no further stay. His figure immediately collapsed, twisted, and transformed back into a collection of concepts before wandering away.

"This is a Traveler's ability..."

Although recorded in family texts, this was Dorian's first time actually seeing it.

With Nimrod's departure, the seal isolating the house from reality also disappeared.

After a long silence, Dorian stood up and locked his office door.

After using spiritual materials he carried to isolate the entire room from the outside world, he returned to his seat.

In his rapid thoughts, this middle-aged Abraham family member let out a long sigh.

Then, he placed the paper in his hand on the desktop, put his hands together, and began praying to this hidden existence:

"Lone Walker from the Stars Mirror Connecting All Time and Space Final Future of All Things in the World

I pray for Your attention, I pray for Your help, I pray that You help me suppress the curse from the ancestor during the next full moon."

...

In the spirit world, Nimrod—who had been randomly beating spirit world creatures, trying to find a suitable messenger among them—suddenly tilted his head, releasing the strange spirit world creature with eight pairs of wings and serpentine body in his hands.

Hearing Dorian Gray's prayer in his mind, he raised his hand to rub his brow. His figure quickly faded, disappearing from the spirit world and directly entering the "Mirror Palace."

Sitting on that tall throne, Nimrod first wrapped himself in brilliant starlight, then lightly tapped the edge of the throne.

To create his presence, he directly invoked the power of this Sefirot.

His aura became extremely vast and sacred. The brilliant starlight contracted inward, transforming into a robe enveloping his entire body, while his face wore a mask.

Different from other masks, this mask had no patterns—only blankness, as if waiting for a great existence to personally draw on it, allowing itself to become complete.

"Boom." The entire Mirror Palace shook slightly. Outside Mirror Palace, the originally empty Mirror World where position and distance couldn't be determined also shook accordingly.

Buildings, mountains, rivers, valleys, humans, animals suddenly appeared, as if filling the entire world—as if everything from the material world had reappeared in the Mirror World.

"Is this the unique authority possessed by the Mirror World? It seems to involve the domains of fantasy and creation.

Pity it's illusory. Perhaps when completing the remaining pathways and Sefirot, the Mirror World can create true reality."

No longer paying attention to those false things, Nimrod then responded to Dorian Gray's prayer.

"Failed?"

In the office on the 3rd floor of the Fishermen's Association, Dorian Gray, who had waited three minutes after praying, frowned and prepared to pray several more times.

He didn't think much about the first attempt's failure. Immediate response from a great existence was extremely precious. Even archbishops of major churches praying to deities didn't necessarily receive responses. He didn't consider himself special.

Just as he was about to recite that honorific name again, hoping for a response—

Suddenly, he felt his spirit body was out of control, leaving his physical body and floating toward a realm located who knows where.

When he came to his senses and regained control of his spirit body, Dorian Gray found himself already within a huge, majestic palace.

The walls around the palace were carved with exquisitely beautiful murals, and beneath all the murals' origins was a tall throne.

On that throne, a tall figure wearing starlight robes and a blank mask was examining him with an indecipherable gaze.

"Great God of Mirrors, Abraham's bloodline expresses the most sublime respect to You."

Without hesitation, Dorian Gray immediately crossed his hands over his chest and bent at the waist in salute, expressing his reverence.

Upon seeing this being for the first time, he knew the other's identity. This was precisely the hidden existence he had just prayed to.

With his understanding of mystical knowledge, this majestic palace very likely was the legendary divine kingdom.

"I only prayed, yet was pulled into the deity's kingdom. This is simply incredible."

"No need to be so restrained. Before ascending to godhood, I was actually human as well. Toward you all, I always hold compassion."

Hearing this hidden existence's words, Dorian Gray secretly breathed a sigh of relief. This existence was actually human once?

But what puzzled him was, according to Nimrod's statement, this existence ascended to godhood in the First Epoch. Did humans exist then?

In the family's historical records, didn't humans only appear during the Second Epoch when ancient gods were in strife?

Shaking his head and casting some speculations from his mind, Dorian Gray organized his words and said:

"Great God of Mirrors, please forgive my rudeness. I want to know—can You truly solve the Abrahams' curse?"

"Of course. This isn't difficult. The curse you suffer, tracing its root, comes from your bloodline's source—Mr. Door's ravings.

As long as you believe in me and do some things for me, though unable to completely eradicate it, with my position, I can help you isolate the ravings from him. This way, during full moons, your curse will disappear."

Hearing the other's description, Dorian Gray suppressed his inner excitement and asked respectfully:

"Great God of Mirrors, what do You need us to do for You?"

"Very simple. With your Abraham family members as the main body, create a hidden organization belonging to me. Privately spread my faith and teachings. As for scriptures or regulations, this can be left to your discretion."
