Sakata was panicking ,panting like he ran thousand miles, and sweating. He was so nervous and wanted nothing but to go to his father. He could feel it , he is in danger! The moment he got stabbed in the chest Sakata felt it like he got stabbed also . He looked at Sauro in worried and spoke in trembling tone "Please! We must go to him , something bad is happening to him I can feel it !" He clenched his hand near is heart .
Sauro looked worried as well, he hesitated but said "You should stay here , I will go to him "
Sakata angrily " you cannot leave me behind! He is my father. What if it was the last time I would see him you won't forbid me from that too !"
Mika " I will go with you Sauro. Something bad is happening, that light gives me chills"
Sakata "No it's not the light that gives me the creep, it's what had caused it. Something very strong and evil. This feeling looks familiar to me but it doesn't matter because I will come with you . Please don't stop me!"
Mano " I will protect him with my life, and if I saw it was dangerous, I will get him out of there quickly"
Sauro "Fine, we don't have much time let's move!"
Sakata "We need a helicopter or something get there"
Sauro "No need. Hold him Mano and never let him go"
Mano "Yes my lord" He grabbed Sakata's shoulder and looked at him reassuringly to comfort him, but deep down he was worried sick about his father and wanted to go there to see if he was alright.
Sauro stretched his arms forward and started to draw circle with his powers, a blazing blue gate appeared in front of him and its surface was like a mirror that reflects it surroundings . It was a port gate that led to the great tree . Sauro stepped in and Mika followed, Sakata was amazed but there was no time for this, so he and Mano quickly walked threw it and amazingly they were now surrounded by trees everywhere. Mano was holding Sakata's shoulder and they both walked behind Mika and Sauro following their trail. The port gate had closed once they were all out, they kept walking for few minutes until they reached the great tree where the huge light is coming from it not the sky. Shettsu was laying on the ground stabbed in the chest, someone beside him screaming from pain and a headless guy. Mika and Sauro both stopped looking at the dead body, they recognized him immediately. Mika wanted to go threw the light barrier he stretched his hand trying to touch the barrier but it didn't allow him his hand felt like it was burning and he immediately moved it away. He said "It won't allow me to enter"
Sauro did the same but it burned his hand as well. Sakata and Mano were behind them they couldn't see what was happening so they walked a bit closer.
Sakata saw his father stabbed in the chest, he tried to walk to him but Mano grabbed his shoulder tightly. Mano looked at Shettsu who was laying on the ground looking amazed at the tree, he moved his eyes toward the tree but his eyes caught something else. He loosen his grip from Sakata and walked slowly toward the barrier trying to get closer look. Mika noticed him and said "Kid don't come any closer!"
Mano inquired"Who is that guy over there ? The headless one?!"
He looked at Sauro and Mika but they both avoided his look lowering their head. Sakata noticed the dead body and recognized it as well he was petrified. He was his uncle.
Mano's eyes filled with tears trying to see if it was delusional "Dad ?! Is he dad ?!"
But no one answered. He ran toward the barrier trying to get through but Mika caught him on the last second before he would be burned. Even though his lower limbs touched the barrier and got burned but he continued to struggle to get from Mika's grip. Sauro was trying to restrain him as well.
In that moment Sakata looked at his father who now wasn't moving, he was laying still looking amazed at the dim light that was above him. He looked at that light and saw it took the knife out of Shettsu's chest. He walked slowly toward the barrier and crossed it with out being burned. He stood amazed looking at the dim light who now began to appear more clearly. It was a ghost, s woman ghost with long braid and beautiful face, she looked so young yet wise and graceful. He felt that he knew that person he knew who she is . His eyes filled with tears and walked a bit closer trying to touch the ghost before it vanished with thin air, unconsciously he said "Mom?!" .
Shettsu turned and saw his son was standing right behind him. Kronos even though he was feeling lot of pain from the light that was burning his skin and turning it to ashes, he couldn't lose such opportunity. He grabbed a knife out of his pocket and threw it toward Sakata. Shettsu noticed the flying knife to late it was very close to him, he walked trying to grab the knife before it reaches Sakata's chest.
Sakata stood amazed not thinking about anything thing else but that dim ghost when he noticed the knife he saw that it was moving in slow motion as everything around him they were all in slow motion. He touched the tip of the knife and it turned into ashes, he was amazed at what he did he looked at his father with a smile on his face but he felt that he couldn't move and looked at his body seeing that he as well was turning into ashes.
It looked like he was being blown away with the wind. He couldn't feel balance at all and felt dizzy or floating slowly , he closed his eyes and let himself fall.
When he opened his eyes, he saw that everything had turned white and he is no longer with the others. He was so calm and didn't have any feelings, floating slowly and gently. The only thing he said was "Mom, was that you?!"
And then immediately fell on the ground. He fell on his back and hit his head on a tree root.
He sat feeling pain from the fall and holding his head trying to see if there is blood because it felt like there was, but there was no blood. He lifted his head and saw that he was in a forest, looking closely he noticed it wasn't the same one that he where few moments ago.
He looked around and saw it was morning. No huge light, and no one to recognize. He sat for few minutes wondering 'Was I dreaming again?! Is this part of the dream as well?! It feels so real like I am actually in the woods? What if I was? But I don't remember that I was in some woods before it's too dangerous to me as they say, so where the hell am I?' He looked around aimlessly trying to figure something, but then he stood terrified at once and started to shout "Dad!" But there was no reply so he started to run looking for him. He kept walking for almost an hour until he hear laughters come from his right. He hesitated but decided to go and see and walked for few minutes until he was out of the woods.
The sun was very high and shining brightly, so bright that once he saw it he closed his eyes. He must had got used to the dim sunlight that he forgot how the sun shone brightly.
He opened his eyes again and waited till they get use to the sun. He heard laughters again and it was so close this time he quickly turned his head toward the source and saw that there was a family eating their lunch under a pine tree shade. He went toward them trying to ask for directions and where the hell he is. Once he got there he saw three little girls , three teenagers boys, two women and two men sitting and one of the men was his father Shettsu. Sakata was so relieved to see him alive, safe and sound. The two men got up and started to walk away from the rest of the group. He followed saying"Dad, are you okay? Where are we ?! What had happened?" But Shettsu didn't pay attention he was talking with the other man intensely. Sakata quickly followed him and stretched his hand trying to catch his arms but he couldn't. His arms smoothly went through his father's body with out causing any discomfort to him. Sakata froze and looked at his hand panicking "What the hell?! Dad !"
But when he lifted his eyes from his hand he saw that his father was no longer here. He looked aimlessly around trying to find him but he was long gone. The other man turned and Sakata recognized him immediately. It was Mitskaki the late emperor and his grandfather. Mitskaki walked through Sakata like he doesn't exist, Sakata was petrified 'What on earth is happening?!'.
'Could I and by any chance had traveled back in time?!' He thought to himself ' No don't be silly. You are dreaming!' Another thought came into his mind 'But I only dream about my lost memories and of course I didn't see me somewhere between them, did I ?!' He quickly went back to the gathering and recognized them all from the book he read about the famous people in history. They where his family; his grandfather Mitskaki , his grandmother, his three uncles Yamaitskaki , Hiro and Settsu when they were teenagers, his two aunts Masoko, Maya and another little girl who he guessed to be his mother but he didn't know her name. There was another woman sitting beside his grandmother who he recognized from the noblesse and leaders chapter from the book he read but he forgot her name .
He looked at all of them and how happy they were and asked himself 'What happened to you guys?!' . He looked at how his mother was with her sisters brushing each other's hair, she was older than his aunts which were twins. Hiro was reading some book, Settsu and Yama were playing chess, and his grandfather was drinking tea peacefully with his grandmother and that lady. He forgot everything troubles him when he saw this and told himself in loud voice "What a beautiful dream !".
None seemed to be shocked by who he is? and how he got here?. He took a deep breath and let it out he thought 'It's a nice to have such moments with your family!' He smiled and dropped his head looking at his feet.
He looked around thinking'I need to get up from this dream. I have to but I don't know how ?! I've never been in such a dream that seemed so real!' He lifted his head and looked around at them and the place that they were in. He kept scanning the place till he heard his aunt Maya said "Dad can we play hide and seek please?"
Mitskaki "Sure but don't hide too far from us. Hiro why don't you supervise them"
Maya "No need dad. We won't get far from you, It won't last long. It's just me, Satasha and Masoko "
Sakata quickly looked at his mother and unconsciously said "Satasha!" But she didn't hear him or noticed him.
Mitskaki "No dear it's dangerous, someone should go with you!"
Settsu "I will go too with Hiro incase he misses me"
He gave a cheesy wink to Hiro who was about to slap Settsu for what he had said. Settsu smirked happily "let's go shall we" .
Hiro, Settsu, and the three little girls went to hide in the woods. Sakata found himself following them as if he was attached to someone like his tail, he guessed that he is following his mother. He found this dream is so weirdly real that he started to think it's not a dream and this could be reality.
They chose Hiro to be the one who finds them. Hiro closed his eyes and put his hands on them while facing the tree and counting to ten. They all spread out hiding from him, and as Sakata guessed he followed his mother to her hiding place. She and his aunt Maya hid in the same place and Masoko is few trees away from them in the back watching them hiding.
Sakata was standing behind Satasha as if he was her shadow, a shadow that felt all her emotions and thoughts who was happy at the moment and excited. She and Maya were trying to stop giggling from their excitemen when they heard Hiro stopped counting they forced themselves to be quiet.
Hiro "Come out, come out from where you are. I will catch you soon, I know you are in here somewhere!"
He was getting closer to Maya and Satasha so they both went near the tree were Masoko was hiding. He passed them without noticing them, then he caught Settsu who didn't hid very well because he wanted him to catch the girls so they can go back faster.
Hiro "Got you pervert. Did you miss me?"
Settsu in cheesy way "You have no idea" He gave another cheesy wink to Hiro who rolled his eyes. He love teasing him, it's his hobby to tease Hiro.
The girls quietly moved a bit further from them, they all sat quietly and eager to not being caught. Satasha looked to see if they are near them but they weren't near, when she turned to look at her sisters she found Maya was walking away from them . She whispered "Maya, come here"
Maya put her index near her lips and singed to follow her. Satasha went quietly near her, but when Masoko was trying to follow them Hiro held her shoulder and said "Got you. Hey Settsu I found Masoko!"
The other two hid quietly from them, they walked tip toeing away from them and heading deep in the woods. Sakata felt uncomfortable about this, they are going too far from everyone and anything could happen to them.
They sat near the tree that one of it's root was prominent from the ground, Satasha sighed out of relief and said "That was close. We should go back soon you know we are going deep in the woods" she looked at Maya who was spacing out and didn't pay attention of what she said.
Satasha "Hello, I am speaking to you"
Maya calmly "Did you hear that?"
Satasha curiously "Hear what?"
Maya "That" pointing deep in the woods were everything was dark there and creepy. Satasha look at where she pointed and felt a sudden chills that made her restless and gave her creeps.
She said urgently "We need to go back NOW!"
She stood up and yelled "Hiro, Settsu Help!"
She waited but no one answered. She turned around and saw Maya was walking deep in the woods she panicked and followed her running. When she reached her, Maya was weird as if she was possessed or something. She tried to drag her but Maya made a huge resistance. Sakata suddenly felt cold running through him, he immediately remembered this feeling, it was the same when he saw the book that hexed him.
Satasha was struggling to pull Maya out from there but she felt that something was dragging them deep in the forest it was so evil and dark. She called " Maya!" Several times but she didn't respond nor made reaction as if Satasha wasn't here. She was panicking saying "Oh God. Come on Maya let's get out of here!"
But it was too late.
She turned around and saw that they were no longer in the woods, it was a completely different place. It was dark and evil even the trees looked scary, the trees were surrounding a lake. The other side of the lake could be seen in a 100 meters.
Satasha was panting heavily said "I don't like this let us go back now, please!"
Maya now seemed that she got her conscious back and was panicking by the fact that she didn't know how she got here. Satasha was patting her back gently saying "It's okay, let's go back now, shall we?"
Maya nodded and they both turned to go back but suddenly something grabbed Maya's foot and dragged her toward the lake. She screamed very loudly. Satasha was holding her pulling her with all her might but she wasn't strong enough so they both now were dragged toward the lake. Satasha let out a very loud scream that Sakata himself covered his ears avoiding to damage it with her sharp loud scream. It didn't last long before they were drowning in the lake.
Sakata ran to jump in the lake to save them but he couldn't get into the lake, as if there was a barrier stopping him from diving. He hit the water surface trying to penetrate it but he didn't succeed. His first thought was to go and call someone to help them but when he tried to walk away he was pulled back again. He knew now that he must stick beside her and do nothing waiting for someone to save them. He couldn't do anything and was helpless.
He looked at the lake and saw bubbles coming out from them, feeling his mother was drowning and suffocating. She was trying her best to set Maya free then a thought came in her mind 'Take me,Take me instead of her. Please whoever you are, take me instead!'
Sakata heard her thought and said "No please, no, don't do that!"
It seems that what ever was dragging Maya had stopped and grabbed Satasha instead. Maya now was floating toward the surface while Satasha willingly was dragged toward the bottom.
Sakata looked at his mother being dragged he felt her breathing was now slower. Maya had fainted apparently and her face was out of the water floating on the surface. Satasha was looking dimly but happy that her sister has a chance to live. Sakata felt coldness in her and soon he felt nothing, she almost had stopped breathing, he cried " Mom!"
Satasha amazingly looked at Sakata with puzzled look and then she closed her eyes slowly. She was now not breathing at all, he could feel that.
Sakata looked around and started to shout "IS THERE ANYONE HERE? PLEASE HELP! HELP!".
No one came , Sakata in mid of sobbing "Please, she will die!"
His eyes was filled with tears but he didn't shed them. He looked at his mother in a awe . How come something like this happen to a child, it's unfair.
Maya had regained her consciousness and started to cough the water out of her lungs. She soon realized that she was floating in the lake and started to swim to the shore, but when she reached it she remembered. She called in trembling tone "Satasha!" looked around and saw no one, then she shouted "Satasha!"
But no one came rushing to her.
She then remembered that she was dragged, both of them were dragged but only she made it .
She tried to dive to see her but before she did so, she heard someone was calling her. She recognized his voice, it was Hiro.
Maya immediately shouted "Hiro! Hiro! "
She heard him running toward her, she continued "Hiro ! Hiro!"
She kept calling him until he reached the lake and saw her clinging to the ground and completely wet. He ran and took her out of the lake and asked out of concern and fear "Are you alright? Did you get hurt ? What are you doing here ?"
Maya was shaking from cold, Hiro took of his top and covered her with it. She said in trembling voice "Satasha! Help her ! "
Hiro frightened "Where is she?"
Maya trembling "She was trying to save me but she didn't make it. She was dragged by something toward the bottom of the lake!" .
Hiro was aghast by this, he knew that there is no way that she is still alive. He stood up and immediately jumped into the lake, taky even the smallest chance that she might be alive. Quickly after he dived Settsu and Yamamitsuki came running toward the lake. They heard her shouting Hiro's name and immediately followed the voice. They found her sitting on the ground trembling from cold and looking at the lake.
Settsu worryingly "Maya are you okay? What had happened to you?"
Yamamitsuki trying to remain calm "Darling are you okay? Where is Hiro?"
Maya sobbing "She sacrificed her self to save me and drowned instead. Hiro had dived in the lake to save her"
Settsu and Yamamitsuki were petrified, Satasha had drowned?! . They both looked at the lake stunned.
Yamamitsuki "Go and get dad here quickly!"
Settsu went unwillingly to get his father here. After Settsu had just left, Hiro came out dragging Satasha's body out of the lake. He handed her to Yamamitsuki who placed her gently on the ground near Maya. Hiro got out of the lake and went near them. Yamamitsuki was checking if she was breathing, he also placed his head gently on her chest to see if her heart was beating. Then lifted his head and started to push her chest to get the water out. Hiro "Dd you hear her heart beat?"
Yamamitsuki "It was rather no beat but I am not losing hope, she might be alive"
Maya was crying.
Sakata however was feeling a very dim beat from her, she was between life and death. It was kind of impossible how her heart was beating, she had drowned for whole fifteen minutes. Usually this mean that the person is dead, but he knew she was alive he could feel it.
Yamamitsuki was pushing her chest with out stopping, Hiro was murmuring "Come on Satasha, don't die"
Maya was sobbing more than ever. Settsu came back with his father who was stunned by this news. Mitskaki immediately went near them and asked "Is she alive? " .
But no one answered. Sakata saw that Mitskaki went pale and was about to have a heart attack from this scene. It was a nightmare indeed, losing a child is something very painful to parents, it's like losing your own soul.
Settsu was standing looking petrified at Satasha's pale face. Yamamitsuki was pushing her chest with out stopping until he heard someone say "Stop it, you are hurting my baby!"
Yamamitsuki turned and saw his mother, the noblesse lady and Masoko. He turned his head avoiding to look at his mother. She walked slowly Sakata noticed that she was walking heavily and by the aid of the noblesse lady, she seemed sick and he remembered now that he read that she suffered from tuberculosis. She caught it after she gave birth to her daughters.
She sat near Satasha, held her hand and said "My daughter is cold please cover her, she might catch cold and have fever!"
Mitskaki quickly took off his cloak and covered her. Her mother Sayuri started to cry and said amid of sob "Satasha baby it's time to wake up. Come on sweetheart play time is over"
Her words was so worm that Sakata himself felt relieved to hear this. Sayuri caressed her head gently saying "Sweetie wake up please! Don't leave mommy alone!" .
Mitskaki in an awe "Sayu she isn't going to wake up, let's take her home, shall we ?!"
He held Sayuri's hand and looked at her in teary eyes. Sayuri looked at him and said while crying "No, she isn't dead. My baby isn't dead. She always wake up when I call her!"
Everyone tears started to fall. Settsu helped Hiro getting up and covered him with his cloak. Yamamitsuki carried Maya who was crying a lot. Masoko covered her head in the noblesse lady's dress crying. Sakata walked toward Satasha and sat near her, he placed his hand gently on her head and said "Mom please wake up!"
But then something unexpectedly happened. The water started to come out of her mouth and she started to cough, everyone was relieved. Sayuri patting her head and saying in mid of sobbing "Cough it out sweetie, cough it out! " .
Satasha coughed out all the water in her lungs she felt dizzy and had a severe headache. She took one look at her mother and fainted.
Mitskaki looked at Yamamitsuki and said "Take Maya to the palace !" He then turned toward Settsu and Hiro and said "Take your mother, Masoko and lady Yuri to the palace, and I will carry Satasha, go now" .
Everyone obeyed him.
Yamamitsuki went straight toward the palace followed by Mitskaki. Hiro and Settsu helped their mother to stand up made a port gate and went through it with noblesse lady Yuri.
Sakata followed Satasha, he was relieved that she now is alive but something else took over his thoughts. Is he actually not dreaming orin coma but he had traveled back to the past?.
So that mean that his father is indeed in danger but is everything stuck at the moment that he almost got stabbed or the time went on ?.
But most importantly he thought 'Can I changed the fate and stop it from happening?!'.
