Frances glanced at Elizabeth but didn't even bother picking up her phone. Her voice was cool and dismissive. "No."
After being classmates with Elizabeth for three years, Frances knew exactly what kind of person she was.
Adding her as a friend would just be an insult to her intelligence.
Unbothered by the rejection, Elizabeth switched to another app. "Then let's connect on the school forum. That way, we can follow each other without getting in each other's way."
Frances shot a cold glance at the screen, her tone sharp. "What do you mean by that?"
"Nothing much," Elizabeth said smoothly, her expression calm. "I just want to be friends with you."
Frances saw right through her little act and smirked. "You want to use me to deal with Nevaeh, don't you? Elizabeth, you really overestimate yourself. Do you think I'm the kind of person who would betray a good friend over a guy?"
With that, Frances turned away, her heels clicking against the floor as she left Elizabeth standing there.
