As Nevaeh turned to leave, Elizabeth suddenly shouted, "What's wrong? Are you scared? You can't even talk to me alone?"
Nevaeh paused, glancing back at Elizabeth's shameless face, and replied coolly, "I don't want to hear what you have to say."
"It's about your grandmother," Elizabeth said, raising an eyebrow. She was certain that mentioning Nevaeh's grandmother would make her stop.
However, this time Nevaeh stayed silent.
Noreen had already used her feelings for her grandmother too many times, and Elizabeth was no different. She wouldn't fall for it again.
Nevaeh's tone was flat. "No need."
"Are you sure?" Elizabeth gritted her teeth, shocked that Nevaeh would actually refuse her.
Seeing the flicker of emotion in Nevaeh's eyes and knowing how deep her bond with her grandmother was, Nancy shot a cold glare at Elizabeth. "If you have something to say, say it here. You think you can push Nevaeh aside and bully her while we just stand by and watch?"
