Over the years, Natasha Romanoff had encountered many enemies.
But this was the first time she had met one so utterly spineless.
It wasn't that HYDRA members weren't afraid of death; many, once caught, would rather bite down on the cyanide capsules embedded in their teeth than be taken alive.
But this guy in front of her...
Listening to him ramble incessantly along the way, he kept divulging HYDRA's weapons, the locations of secret files—everything—just to survive.
He practically vomited out decades of weapons research and development directions in one go.
If Natasha couldn't tell that this guy wasn't trying to mislead her but was genuinely terrified of dying, she might have thought he was stalling for time, waiting for rescue.
"Got him to talk?"
Seeing this guy continuously telling Natasha about the various research labs, archives, and hidden bases within the HYDRA base, Hawkeye, after dealing with the guards over there, came over and asked Natasha in surprise.
"It went so smoothly it's unbelievable!"
Shrugging at Clint, Natasha didn't quite know how to explain it for a moment.
The mission was going smoothly... because there was a coward in HYDRA who was afraid of death?
Even though it was true, she had a feeling that even Nick Fury wouldn't believe it if she told him!
Outside!
"What a huge tank!"
Watching several massive tanks slowly rumble out from the castle grounds, Tony Stark's eyes immediately lit up.
"Steve, is this the kind of giant tank my father once said you destroyed with the Howling Commandos?"
"My goodness, nearly seventy years have passed, and I never thought they'd still be using these antiques!"
Dodging a shell fired from a giant tank aiming for him, Tony blasted the monstrous tank with a repulsor beam and asked Steve over the comms.
"Tony, I always feel like you're comparing me to these tanks!"
Flying into the air with his hammer, Steve summoned several lightning bolts to strike the giant tanks directly. He smiled wryly.
"Huh? You actually heard that?"
Hearing Steve's reply, Tony Stark, flying through the air, made an exaggerated sound. "Wow, I thought you couldn't understand the language of the new era!"
"Don't you have a little notebook full of things you need to catch up on?"
"These words probably aren't written in that book!"
Listening to Tony's teasing, Steve "helplessly" landed directly on top of a giant tank with his hammer.
Lifting his shield, he smashed down hard, shearing through the lock on the tank's hatch. Then he reached in, grabbed the driver by the collar, and threw him out!
"It's been nearly seventy years. Why haven't these guys learned to be smarter?"
"Seventy years ago, I destroyed their giant tanks like this. I never expected they wouldn't have improved at all after seventy years!"
Steve could tell whether Tony's words were mockery or just playful banter.
There was no malice in the teasing, so Steve naturally didn't mind.
Who told him to stop Tony from swearing earlier?
Easily destroying a few more giant tanks, Steve watched the steady but dwindling stream of HYDRA soldiers.
He pressed his comm and said, "Su, leave the remaining HYDRA soldiers outside to me and Tony."
"Go support Natasha and Clint. I'm worried they might run into trouble!"
"No problem!"
Hearing Steve's words over the comm, Su Che grabbed a HYDRA soldier by the collar, soared into the sky, threw the soldier down mid-air, and then flew directly towards the castle!
He encountered no obstacles along the way.
In fact, during the first wave of the attack, most of the HYDRA soldiers had been wiped out.
During the second wave, the remaining HYDRA soldiers were equipped with HYDRA's high-tech weapons.
But whether facing Su Che, the Silver Moon Knight with his Superman-like physique, Tony Stark in his armor, or Steve with his shield and Mjolnir, they were utterly helpless. They couldn't even break their defenses!
Flying all the way to the ancient castle, Su Che landed, casually took out a few HYDRA soldiers guarding the gate, and walked in effortlessly.
Inside the Castle
"Silver Moon Knight, Su Che!"
As soon as he entered the castle, he saw Baron Strucker, who had somehow acquired a walking stick.
Clearly, his legs were perfectly fine, but it seemed holding a cane added to his aura of importance.
"Aren't you curious? You hid yourself very well, yet I know your true identity?"
As he spoke, Baron Strucker walked towards Su Che. "It's actually very simple. As long as you guarantee my—"
Thud!
Before this pretentious guy could finish speaking, Su Che casually knocked him out cold.
He glanced coldly at Strucker, lying unconscious on the ground.
Su Che pressed his comm, asked for Natasha and Clint's location, and then rushed over.
Are you kidding me? Haven't you heard that villains die because they talk too much?
And why would I need you to tell me how you found out my identity?
If I really wanted to hide my identity, why would I hang out with Steve and Tony every day?
Although... it's those two troublemakers who show up at my door every day!
Grabbing a random HYDRA soldier, Su Che used a mental spell to get the archive room's location.
He smoothly made his way to the archive room.
Archive Room
Dr. List was currently squatting on the floor, hands over his head. Clint stood guard vigilantly with his bow and arrow.
Meanwhile, Natasha was busy copying some of the HYDRA base's top-secret research data onto a USB drive.
Seeing Su Che approach, Natasha turned her head and said, "I'm so glad S.H.I.E.L.D. picked up Wanda and Pietro earlier."
"Su, you have no idea what kind of insane experiments these bastards conducted, researching how ordinary people can gain superpowers through technology!"
Hearing Natasha's words, Su Che walked over to the computer and took a look.
After just a glance, Su Che said to Natasha, "Destroy it."
"Even if this so-called research data is valuable... I don't want to be the one responsible for destroying S.H.I.E.L.D. in the future."
Hearing Su Che's words, Natasha also nodded seriously. "I will definitely destroy this data. If even a little bit leaks out, it could cause a major disaster!"
"What I'm copying is the scientific research data accumulated by this HYDRA base over the years. I have no intention of taking back the part related to human superpower experiments!"
After speaking, Natasha looked at Barton.
"Don't look at me!"
Clint, who was fiddling with an arrow, saw Natasha looking at him.
He twisted the arrow and said with a smile, "After so many years as partners, don't you know me?"
Hearing Barton's answer, Natasha nodded, then said to Su Che, "Give me three minutes!"
"Su, in three minutes, Barton and I will evacuate this place. This place is filled with all the filth in the world. Please, destroy it completely!"
"I'm good at that."
Nodding slightly, Su Che looked at Dr. List, who was still crouching on the floor with his head in his hands.
He then asked Natasha, "Is he still useful?"
"Keep him for interrogation?... Forget it, just get rid of him. With these materials, I can go back and complete my mission report."
"It's these superpower experiments led by this guy. If we hadn't picked up Wanda and Pietro, they might have been killed too."
"It makes me sick just thinking about it!"
As she said this, Natasha raised her pistol and, without any hesitation, put a bullet through the head of Dr. List, who was squatting on the ground, just as he was about to beg for mercy!
Natasha, who had long regarded Wanda and Pietro as her younger siblings, didn't want scum like this to remain alive in the world.
